3:53 Stephen should have said, "We'll be right back with a performance by Josh Brolin playing the baliset", just to see the look on Josh's face...🤣🤣🤣
One of the best interviews and bits with Josh Brolin, Mr. Colbert.

Do you lack vision or any form of sensory perception?
yeah fr like these guys were really having a lot of fun here 💀💀
Yes
@@MaitLember On the internet, generally, there are a lot of negative people, insults and aggression, on all subjects. Also known as trolls.
Seriously man'!!!!!!! They were do into conversation
“You gotta focus brother” lmao
Wish Denis presented the instrument in person. Would have loved to hear Josh try to play Smoke On the Not Water live.
Smoke on the Sand?
Mist on the sand?
So charming watching to best friends attempt an interview. Funny, interesting, and sweet all at once. True bro-mance. Mr. Colbert is the best host on the tele!
Clearly haven't watched Craig Ferguson (before he retired) nor Graham Norton.
It’s actually a breath of fresh air to see Josh Brolin in this light. All the years I thought he was a certain character to be awoken by a glimpse of him in reality. What a pleasant surprise.
You should watch his "Hot Ones" interview, imo one of the best ones :D
Someone at Marvel give that man a Glove!
Seeing two bros "broing it out" on TV is so freaking wholesome...
Who knew that Josh Brolin and Stephen Colbert was the bromance we always needed!?🤩
These two make really great TV! They should come on screen together more.
This interview was the absolute best in a while.. thanks, uncool Dad and way cooler Dad..
I was an extra in a little seen Josh film, Only The Brave. I always liked that it's the one he said he's the most proud of. Dune 2 looks good. Good luck, Josh!!🎉❤
Cool! He was great in that. I bet you were too!
This is the exact same chaotic, bromantic chemistry that Conan has with Timothy Olyphant
I think this is the most heartwarming interview in its entirety that I have ever seen two straight men do. What a joy!
Can this interview NEVER end please!
The your my favorite uncool guy quote .. that’s a keeper 😂😂😂
There's a certain fratboy quality to their interaction, but I guess that makes sense when you have your buddies on your talkshow as guests.
I love it whenever Seth Meyers has his friends on as guests. Goofy, intimate, unhinged, at times esoteric, and ultimately just relaxed hanging out together but on camera.
Great interview. Loved the interaction between you both.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie or television show with Josh Brolin that I didn’t like. And it all started with the Goonies.
I can second that!
It is delightfully jarring to see the man that played a galactic overlord goof off with Stephen. These are the kind of interviews we need.
This interview needs to go for another hr bc it was way too short. I couldn't stop laughing throughout.
Living in this world as a Josh, I often encounter unimpressive representatives of us, and never great ones. Then there’s this Josh, and it just gives me a happy warm feeling anytime I see him in something, even an interview.
Omg! I absolutely loved this interview! ❤
Brolin x Colbert always entertain
He should accompany his next sauna vid with that music. A heartfelt poem to the tune of '🎶Bow ping deir deir bow dere doi pling🎶'? Yes please.
My favorite interviews are always the ones where you can tell the guest and Stephen are truly friends .. this was fun , funny , informative and so very relaxed .. and it makes for awesome tv !! Thank you ❤
It looks like it would be fun to hang out with Josh Brolin.
I usually don’t care much for interviews with movie stars but steve just has an art
I swear I just had "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers in my head while thinking about a compilation of Josh and Stephen 😂😂😂😂 Love when the two of them are together. It's always entertaining!
Dang he looks so much like his dad when he was young 😊 great interview 🩷💕
Those two are having way too much fun!
Imagine Josh shredding that instrument wearing the Thanos glove?!! 😮
Josh for President!
It's like they're siblings who get along but have to mess with each other because it's the best time
Forget the late night host podcast. I want more of 'The continuing Bromance of Josh and Steve'. :p
Oh I love that Josh answers with sarcastic ridiculous answers when appropriate !
This is something I've done when people have asked me RIDICULOUS nonsensical personal questions throughout my life.
My theory is: ask a stupid question get a stupid answer!
The cool and the uncool fantastic interview thank you sir
Brolin never cease to amaze
Love this 😂💜💯
interview of the decade
HOE LEE SHEET, the bromance readings are OFF THE CHARTS, dudes.
Fallon's got Timberlake, Colbie's got Broseph! NOICE!
I RARELY watch the guest spots. Josh and Stephen had be GLUED to the set, as we used to say in the day.
When they grow up they'll be amazing. 😅
RUclipsr, Jared Dines, had an 18-string guitar that he actually composed on. Crazy instrument. Impressive musician.
Adorable
Their baliset looks an awful lot like a Chapman Stick. At any rate congrats on hooking Josh up, Stephen!
I just looked it up, and totally! Very cool instrument. I’m guessing they were inspired by it on Dune, but needed it to be a little different, with a different name, for the fictional world.
In a deleted scene in 1984s Dune, Patrick Steward actually plays a chapman stick. I thought this instrument was a reference to that. The scene is in the spice diver fan cut here on RUclips.
Playing an instrument and playing a character are two different skills !
We need Sicario 3 asap
part 3
I loved the part where he said “it’s Brolin time!“
Josh thrives on late night talk shows.
Would have been funny if he handed him the Picture and said, "Here you go".
I never have seen an instrument like that before 😂
You live a sheltered life 😂
@@ScorobeSlavinpoop was born in a war torn country is sheltered to you…okay then…a bookworm don’t follow celebrity culture. Travelled more than a typical American. Yes, I’m sheltered 🤣
@@Greenbambu78 not sure why I gave you a hard time, there's plenty of things I haven't seen. 😅 Have a lovely day!
@@ScorobeSlavinpoop may be because you have a nasty personality
I just discovered, because of this clip and the comments, the very cool Chapman Stick. Look it up! 👍
You know those nerves that connect to your muscles, use that pronunciation like a Brit, and say VilleNEUVE
Dune 2 hype
Knowing Hans Zimmer, him sending a picture of an Iceberg is not necessarily unrelated to the soundtrack, maybe he gets an idea from the iceberg and expects you to know it too. 😂
"It's a made up instrument bro." Kinda looks like a Chapman stick to me, which is a real instrument. Looks like the wiki says it is a form of Zither, a real instrument, and that the one in Dune 2(Wrong, Dune mini series) specifically appears like a Renaissance lute, albeit with a bent pegbox. The fan isn't the only one who didn't do their research before opening their mouth. Edited for accuracy
That's definitely a Chapman stick.... it's a real instrument
Lol it’s a josh bromance. 😂😂😂
He has a great voice. Thanos! He is F funny!
Nice One 🤭
if he thinks Stephen is uncool can't wait to see him chat with John Oliver 😅no chance John wouldn't non-stop giggle as he's telling how he pranked the dude who asked him about the ballicet
Technically speaking all instruments are fictional in a way lol
Idea
give the instrument to someone in the band and see what they can do
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Does anyone have a link to the actual scene?
Does anyone know the song name I can listen to?
that looks a lot like a chapman stick.
Dune 😒🥱😴
That exotic imaginary instrument looks like a typical Chapman stick to me.
Josh Brolin is the guy who should be Joel Miller from the last of us by birthright!
Thanos
These two knuckleheads 🤣🤣🤣
who he?
Josh got to speak to the legend, Hans, and all he could think of was to tell him to focus?! ffs XD /s
No arm wrestling?!?!?!?!?!
And no drawing hair on his chest? Lol
Maybe he Josh c an come back after he has finished his 10K hours.... 😂
Hey Irene the real clown not entitled😮😮
There is an instrument that looks like an electronic version of this, and it’s almost too easy to learn how to play: ruclips.net/user/shortsk3vKrASRjus?si=YoPjP1d4k_IqnHtP
I am Inevitable 😈
It's a Steinberger L Series!
Plastic Water Bottle 🙄 seriously?
Is this what American TV is like? A ten minute interview dragged out for 20 minutes because of all the adds. No wonder your attention spans are so short 😂😂
There’s Ego and then there’s Josh brolin - yikes. Can you imagine if every one of eight billion people on this planet had this ego? TOTAL CHAOS - even worse than the chaos we’re all used to.
I don't think he has a big ego at all, but what do I know, I'm the smartest man in the room?
Why so many mischaracterizations, plot flips, omissions and off character Marvel-quips during serious scenes? Never mind if you're unfamiliar with the novel.
Why cut and paste the same comment under all three segments when that summary of the film was only read in one?
WTF? Better read the books, bro.😂
Mf have you even seen it yet
Plot flips and omissions are par for the course when you're adapting a really long, plot-dense novel for the big screen. There are some aspects of storytelling in novel form that just don't translate to the cinema, which is why there are so few great cinematic versions of classic novels.
As for the rest? I'll wait until I actually see it to decide whether you've got a valid gripe or you're just stirring a big chunk of BS into the pot...
That baliset mid wasnt from first Dune game (1992) 😆 bcs ive herd that mid in it. 😂
