Single mom. Widowed. Working 12+ hour shifts. Yeah, let's give her a break and take some cleaning off of her plate.

I was widowed pretty young too. I was not the best housekeeper in the world to start with, but after my husband died it was all I could do to remember to breathe in and out.
I'm not sure you can really understand what you did for this woman. She probably felt so overwhelmed and lost.
You gave her an amazing gift.

I see that she has children, maybe she can get them to do some chores in the hopes that it can stay clean after you’re gone. Children can help, they just need direction & to know your expectations. Those life lessons they take with them. We are their teachers and prepare them for adulthood. Make no mistake we are not their friends. That will come later in life. Great video. Great job! 🙌🏻✨💕

I was not taught how to actually clean by my parents. I was told to go clean whatever part of the house. I don’t think I ever realized that cleaning the toilet involved cleaning the seat and lid as well as the bowl. In my 20’s I had a job as a nanny. The first day my employer took me through each room and showed me her expectation of clean. There were so many things that were eye opening to me that day!
I watch these videos and get a little motivation to tackle part of the overwhelming mess of my life. I struggle with depression as well. I’ve learned to do something every day. It’s the only way I can function. Sometimes it’s just simply collecting the junk on a horizontal surface and wiping it down with a quick spray of cleaner.
I am getting better at discarding stuff that is essentially useless. I’m not living in hoarding territory but I sometimes visit. 😉

Oh man another Saturday night episode of Midwest Dirt Slapping!!!
Great cleaning for a lady I'm sure that well deserves it. My condolences to her and her family about their loss. Seeing the photos really hit me in the feels on this one.
I'm not sure how long ago their loss happened but I just want to mention the importance of mental health to this family. If they still feel like they need to talk about their loss there are many great therapists that can help in person or via zoom like services. And as for a free option Emotions Anonymous is great support group to help with grief. They have meetings in-person, phone conferences, zoom meetings all free of charge. I have used them for my depression and highly recommend them for anyone in need.
Dirt can suck it, but grief can suck it even more!

You were an absolute blessing to her, you can bet. It had to be disheartening to come home absolutely beat and have to look at all of this. I know. I was working as a critical care nurse full time when I took in my youngest brother who had been diagnosed with a terminal heart condition. After moving his big chair and all his medical supplies, it was a hot mess. My own health had severely deteriorated towards the last 2 months of his life and I had to stop working. But the damage was done. I have zero stamina because of my own medical conditions to go through and organize and discard things but the stuff everywhere is also discouraging me. So I’m hoping in spring to get my neighbor’s daughters to help me sort, sell, and organize my stuff. Where are you located? Are you anywhere near Chicago? I’m wanting to hire someone or group to help.

First time watching your videos. When you first started talking about your son, my jaw dropped. I was like, WTF man?! 😂😂
You are so refreshingly different and entertaining that I may now become bored watching other cleaning channels. You now have a new subscriber in me.

This was a very sweet gesture, I'm so glad to see you and your son helping this lady and her family. It was fun finding the flying fingers. I'm glad you got the BKF and I hope they give you a sponsorship. Sometimes they send free stuff to people who mention their product.

As funny as your video is, I couldn't help but feel heartbroken for the widowed mom with small kids. Thank you and Jason for helping this family. All the dust slapping, dish washing, and grime scraping is probably a real blessing for them. Spin mops are fabulous...love mine 😁

I don't think she has "small children". Those pictures of kids looked like teens. I would be so mad if I had that many kids their age and my house looked like this. I hope she let's them know that they live there and they need to contribute to cleaning too.

Only problem is that if they are small, there is clearly an adult that should be there watching them, and that adult is allowing them to be pigs. That or the kids are old enough to be trusted not to die over a couple hours, which means they're also old enough to clean up after themselves.

Bless you, bless Jason and bless me - yeah! I want to give this mom and others like her a system for preventing this from happening again. Alas and alack, I’ve wanted this for myself in the past”kids at home” stage and never did figure one out.
MEN SWEEP! You’re golden, son. ❤

Sarcasm is a big part of our world. It’s fun! The finger has been a part of my life for forever. Keep up the great work you do. Stay adorable. ❤❤❤

Thanks to the video you posted of you cleaning and setting up a craft room I've been working on cleaning up my "wrecked room." I just went in there and started slapping all the dirt, junk, cardboard boxes, etc. and they all ran out the back door. Piece of cake! Easy Peasy!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!! 😝

Awesome job on the house, I can't wait for the next installment. I love your sense of humor and interactions with Jason, but I couldn't tell if you were being sincere or sarcastic regarding the spin mop. I've been thinking about getting one because I detest my steam mop, but now I'm like Uh-oh. Thanks for the videos!
