      @evoindia at first Tata Motors need to improve their sales & service experience. I own a tata harrier and the delivery day experience and just todays 3rd service experience is damn damn pathetic. I sold my Tata shares that I had purchased. Don't want to invest anymore into Tata's Business or their products here on !. This is the very reason that Maruti and Hyundai have a upper hand though their cars may not have 5star NCAP rating. I strongly believe the next set of customers who're opting for an EV is going to use the vehicle for both city and highways hence cars delivering 350 - 400 real world range has huge potential. Be it with BMS, range, charging issues, charger heating issues and so on. 2020, 2021,2022 nexon ev and other buyers started selling the tata evs and started moving to different ev brands those are well known and better customer and service support. I request Anandji please start looking at customer satisfaction and first generation vehicle problem resolution as the highest priority item. As once customers would start loosing the faith, EVs would be treated like tata indica and brand value would be diluted like anything.

    Give importance to harrier EV and its price.
    Lot of people do not buy harrier because it's available just in diesel , people don't trust/like Tata petrol options so EV is your best chance . Give importance to software. Adding boot to nexon doesn't make it mid size SUV , stop such jugads . New product shouldn't be such jugad .Harrier EV and harrier petrol should have been your priority.
    Instead of bringing harrier EV at 17lakh you are adding boot to nexon .
    If you consider SUV , gst and cess tax in ICE is 50% , if the same SUV is made EV then gst and cess tax will be just 5% .
    This 45% money save is equal to provide battery pack that's large enough to give 500km real world range . Above this EVs get road tax waved off .
    So this should enable companies to launch SUV EVs at ex showroom price lower than ICE SUV . But companies like TATA are misusing this and selling EVs at very high price , just to make huge money .
    This is the reason they can bring down price of their vehicles whenever required as they are already set high price . 20lakh for nexon, , ridiculous.
    Such mentality cannot bring change in Indian mobility, they just want to take advantage and make money in short time.
    Government should stop road tax waver for EVs and instead pay back that money as subsidy.
    GST and CESS should be made 5% for hybrid cars as well or else companies like TATA keep taking advantage.

    Sad that talks such as these pander to car makers and a no-sense government policy:-
    1) no present and no future for batteries based on lithium;
    2) battery tech shows no signs of price reductions down enough to fit the odinary man's purse, the argument that large scale production of batterries will make batteries cheap is false;
    3) Elon Musk tried and failed to enhance battery density, and no one has even come close to what he did;
    4) EVs are prohibitively heavy, a danger to ramps, bridges, with an unsustainable rate of tyre wear, no solution to this unsustainable weight issue is available in the foreseeable horizon;
    5) India cannot produce and make available electricity for charging for a universal adoption of EVs, not by 2030. Not enough production plants, insufficient national electricity grid, no plans of enhancing either to a minimum feasability of use.
    6) No solution to dual power source use, as aircraft and aquacraft have no alternative but to continue with hydrocarbon based fuels and not electric fuel cell tech.
    7) No scalable horizon to make battery car fires rare, or restrict damage to surroundings, or environmentally non hazardous.
    8) EVs are single accident products, repairs being usually too costly and insurance is therefore uneconomically high. EVs are also depreciation prone in even the very short term, due to software upgrades. There is no change horizon to either issue.
    9) Charging times are too high to promote product reliance in times of need, or in emergencies. Geological and atmospheric troubles ground EVs at a time of dire need.
    9) EVs are therefore second car fashion products, tests showing that charging station costs are higher than filling up costs at conventional fuel stations. And range issues have never been solved.
