The brain of Cthulhu is supposed to be able to be knocked back, i don't see that in this version of the boss. Is that temporary and will it be added in the future?

This update has already got some optimizations. as well as it being in java 12 now which makes it have better performance.

you can always allow more ram to your minecraft instance. That does the trick for me if you don't run this on a potato that is
Absolutely fantastic, and I hope this mod only gets better.
One unfortunate criticism that I have however, and I say this with love and the desire for this mod to be the absolute best it can be, but the AI for a lot of these creatures seems really wonky.
They seem to have trouble tracking where to go and how to chase the player, or there are WAY to many of them spawning in one place, like 5:31 with all those Eaters of Souls, they are way too bunched up, or the Goblin Invasion at 0:54, they are way too bunched up, moving way too slowly, the animations for them approaching you could be better, they arent approaching the player from every angle like in normal Terraria and swarming the player so much as they are just bunched together and awkwardly waddling towards the player. Even look at the cave enemies (especially the skeletons) at 3:00. They are really, REALLY struggling to keep up with the player and they are constantly wandering in the wrong direction instead of targeting and tracking the player and charging down him/her.
I really hope this can get addressed in the future. I love this mod and I want it to be its absolute best self. Again, great job, keep up the amazing work, this is amazing and has the potential to be one of the greatest mods ever made for any game ever.

Okay, so, being straight up--I went into this video already going to comment "awesome job, guys!". But you REALLY knocked it out of the park!! Seriously!! Cannot tell you the grin I had when I saw the gravitation potion and I just started laughing when the whole world turned upside down. The boss statues and bosses look great too! Awesome touch to have them be outlined underneath the ground. I cannot wait for this mod, thank you for doing the epic work you're doing guys, keep it up!!
Both the brain and definitely the worm scale look just a little small, maybe 10-20% larger would feel more accurate. Minishark also bothered me a bit, the barrels don't rotate but also mostly because the shine either from being metal or wet shark on the original design is gone and it looks very flat and dull. Everything else looks awesome so far! designs are fairly good.
I think giving flying enemies a bigger hitbox than their model might be a good idea when translating a game from 2D to 3D. Might want to add a way to stop corruption/crimson spread since you have another vector of spread rather than left to right. I look forward to your solutions to any hiccups bringing a 2D game to Minecraft.

When you attack, maybe a medium purple ring around you appears when you swing? Similar to how swinging the sword in terraria completely covers your in a circle? Just an idea

I followed you a long while ago. This popped up in my feed today. I'm so so excited for this hehe. I haven't played terraria or Minecraft for a while but this mod will definitely re-spark my love for both. Especially terraria hehe.

so, in the REALLY old days where fog was needed to make games run, croc 2 had a skybox that showed through the fog, i think it would be rediculously brilliant if you could impliment that and use some of terrarias backgrounds to show what biome youre in

Honestly I would definitely play this more if I could actually figure out how to get VR working... Specifically because I want to play with my brother but he refuses to play this instead of the OG game unless he could play in VR thus having a fully 3D experience

I spent a good chunk of time rewatching the vid and I wanted to provide some feedback on what I liked
What I like:
I like the wiggle animation from slimes after they land on the ground
I like the squirrel idle animation so much
The bat animation is super super smooth, wingflaps from the flying fish are super smooth as well, all wingflaps I've seen in this vid look amazing
I really enjoyed the combat animations, specifically the dashes, the falling animation while airborne, the jumps, and the windup of the sword attack [only the windup part of it though :( ]
The angle the player's torso and head is facing and the foot/knee movements feel very smooth during all jump/dash related animations and I really like it
The clothing design of the goblins is very nice
Spikeball throw animation was clean
The walking animation of the peon goblin and warrior goblins at 1:12 feels very smooth relative to how tanky they look
The door opening animation was super smooth and the candle design was very cool, animations look super clean as well
I like the way the text from reforging comes in and drops off
I like the design of the goblin tinkerer in the shot at 2:16
boomerang animations look hella clean
hook design looks very cool
walking animation of mushroom skeleton is a bit of a shuffle but still really cool
the limping animation on the emo zombies is really cool
the design on the flying fish is really good
lantern night is super well done, looks super cool
particle effects around the house after druid's protection look super cool
sky island design is very cool, also the inside of the room on the sky island I like
I really like the design of the environment in the corruption
I like the design of the head of the destroyer and the eyes on it's back and the segments flow very nicely
I like the idle player animation
face monsters look pretty cool and the walk animation is good
the animation of the small eyes coming from brain of cthulu looks good (terms of pathing and not just flying in a straight line)
brain of cthulu design is very good and the whole fight looks pretty fun overall. Small question. why do you have the outline showing for destroyer but no the brain though when in the ground?
the couch design is very nice, I really like the shading and the torch animation is also quite nice
the trophy designs and hologram designs are super cool as well
zombie walk animation at 2:44 (with the weapon in his head) looks good, head bobbing and limping is a nice touch
cobweb design is cool
.
Now for some things I don't like:
The slime animation looks super good for the first 3/4 of it, but during the last bit of the fall it falls very slowly
the minishark doesn't rotate while firing
the mouth on the goblin bandit looks a bit weird
the faces on the goblins feel very flat compared to their terraria counterparts, it might just be the angle since I only saw the goblin tinkerer well, but they looked bad to me
when a mob jumps (like the goblin) the running animation should stop until they hit the ground again
whenever most mobs walk their legs function as 1 straight line so they either end up shuffling/gliding with no bend in the knees
head animations on the goblin tinkerer look goofy despite his good lower half animations, his walking animation is weird as well walks like a stick figure, turns a sharp 45 degree angle
I forget what it's called but your textures at 2:15 on the right hand are broken. Whenever 2 textures somewhat come near each other this happens, can see it on the leg as well
the visual clarity on a lot of outlines on pretty much everything feels nonexistent. like the goblins face feels flat because there are no outlines so the shades of green overlap. I feel on some items and enemies the colour/shading of outlines needs to be more pronounced
the way the skeleton on the left at 2:40 just "falls" down doesn't feel very natural, he just kinda bounces down. this might just be me I'm not too sure on this one
the throw animation of the hook comes out at a pace that hopefully changes depending on how good the hook is but the pull animation feels clunky. it's close to ready though
the skeletons at 3:08 jumping to get up 1 block when you can just walk up it seems very jarring, I would hope they don't have the jump to get over 1 block of height, 3:10 is a good example
most things I saw flying in this video fly in a completely straight line with no bobbin, particle effects or anything and it just looks weird, for example the meteorite heads and the flying fish
the meteor heads not having any animations when they fly or die feels wrong. I dind't get to see mining meteorite but there should be an animation similar to the meteor heads for that as well
the emo zombie at 3:30 sees you and so it turns it's head but the torso doesn't so he just shuffles sideways, second one is better so it is what it is
the walking animation on the imp feels like a stick figure
the flying fish flies in a completely straight line with no variation in speed or trajectory and looks very strange
the dryad's clothes could be redesigned a little bit but up to you I just think she looks a bit too exposed
at 4:50 when the gravity potion gets used isn't it normal for you to use it in your inventory and if you drag it out it instead gets dropped as an item?
the sky island design is good but they are very small from the 2 I saw. Sky islands vary in size and these look to be too consistent in size, if there was an island maybe 2-3 times larger and smaller it would be much better just to see some variety in generation. this one as a mid-sized island would be perfect though
I feel like you shouldn't be able to see the eater of worlds through walls without any potion effects, either every boss and/or enemy that goes into wall needs to be seen or none of them imo
the textures on the sides of the eater of worlds are very faint and make the rest of his design look too round and altogether even though I can see the segments and it begins to look too beige
the other textures on the eater of worlds could be cleaned up as well, just outlining some more things and accentuating that it is segments
the eater of worlds lunges out of the wall in terraria and he does this in your mod as well but I think you could experiment with how fast he comes at you, maybe he could go a bit faster at the beginning of his attack and then his movement speed could fall off by a lot until his next attack
the bouncy running animation in character select looks a little weird compared to what it's like in-game now, idk if this matters much or not though
the crimera are just flying in a straight line at a consistent speed same as the flying fish, I think you should reference their behaviour in base terraria more
the crimera should be more round vs flat as they are now, it just looks wrong
The eyes from the eye of cthulu, even though they might miss you I feel they should always at least be looking in your direction to make it creepier
Why is the player head moving that much at 8:15 lol
please remove the line from the middle of that couch and it'll be perfect
the torches at the end look quite strange when the bottom is significantly thinner than the upper bit. I think it's worth trying making the wooden part the same thickness throughout

Massive update,the brain looks perfectly hideous especially in second form,worm model is almost perfect too,just would of made him around 15% bigger cause he looks kinda lanky,and now this mod is like the perfect terraria pre hardmode,of course still no wall but that's only needed when you introduce hard mode,nice going and looking for the future of this project.
