The dog walk trail is an old R.R. bed that was built in the 1880s for logging, the old train trestle in Whatcom Falls Park was part of it, back in 1976 the trestle was still intact and sturdy, we used to party on it! Whatcom is a local Indian word that means "tear of the mountain" Artist point at the end of S.R.542 (mount baker Hwy) is where the outdoor and hunting scenes for the movie The Deer Hunter were filmed.

We love your channel! We’re going to Washington for 3 weeks and your video inspired us to go to Bellingham. We’re super excited. What airbnb did you stay at when you were there?
Keep the videos coming! They’re all really great. We have to pups too so we love seeing the dog friendly hikes you guys are doing. Best wishes! Rean & Kerri
