      Location for the sway bar ? Or is it optional now that you have a subframe brace

    Ordered the same set, be careful the bushings lasted a couple of months before they completely fell apart

    How the hell do I tighten the bolts when the car is down I don’t reach my car is slammed

    • @builtjfilion934
      @builtjfilion934  7 месяцев назад

      This is hard but it can be done, I do slammed cars at a shop on an alignment rack. If you’re doing it at home the best thing I can tell you is to use a jack to jack up each side of your suspension one side at a time as much as you can and then tighten the necessary bolts down.

      Put some wood blocks under the tires to raise it up, that's how I did mine

    I got the same set. Did you have any issues with the threads? Threads in aluminum seem like they would strip out easily

    • @builtjfilion934
      @builtjfilion934  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes you must be carful not to cross thread aluminum but for the most part it’s been fine

    So my bolt area that the bolts to this are too small ad go side was instead of up and down, any recommendations wha I can do to make the subframe brace to work and bolt in a different way with different bolts??

    • @builtjfilion934
      @builtjfilion934  Год назад

      So the two bolts that mount to the rear subframe know to brake overtime. So just cut them out if necessary and put new bolts with nuts on the other end. I’ve done this in the past it’s a pain but not the end of the world!

    How are they holding up?

    • @builtjfilion934
      @builtjfilion934  2 года назад

      Good honestly, I’m dropped about 1.5-2” every bolt was tighten when the car was at it ride height to avoid premature bushing wear, once they go bad I’ll upgrade them to red polyurethane ones.
