Me an African in Africa: We make cars?
Ikr!
Buddy been living under a rock but yeah me too kinda I only knew 4 of these and one of them is local, naturally I know about the Tunisian one since I'm Tunisian.
Boer?

African from South Africa here... The Mobias 3 is actually a Chinese car called the BAIC BJ40 which runs Saab petrol engines. It also takes parts from the merc parts bin. Kenya probably has assembly rights. The Nord is the same car. Also the innoson is a Baic BJ80.
So a GM engine, that's crazy
It’s got a saab 9-5 B235 engine in it which is pretty neat, great engine, dunno about the car it was put in tho lol
Sorry you guys have dumb cars. Also can you please go find the scammers that are taking our women’s money? Thanks!
Kenyan here. Can confirm that we have a Mobias plant here and they make a few models of the car
Kenyan here. Can confirm BJ40.
As a Zimbabwean viewer I would love to see you guys in any african country, but I would recommend south Africa because their tuning car scene there is amazing and wild. Those Golf GTIs have ALOT OF POWER BABY
@AlexanderChristopher-qg4klNO THANK YOU. I believe Allah is a God, not a god. That is disrespectful to not show proper respect upon the name of Allah. May you burn in hell and have ZERO virgins.
It's all about the vrrrr pah😂
I would like to see them enjoying South Africa for the car scene too. We probably have one of the most sought-after stance scenes in the whole world. The should also explore Zimbabwe and Namibia for the diverse terrains too really feel what Africa can hand them just considering that these 3 countries are connected some way to each other
Justin roasting the Tacoma in favour of the Hilux is giving me my whole life right now. I love Nolan and Justin together. They are such an awesome pair when they host. Their energies are always so calm and suave and just chill
I have to agree, I swear they are half brothers at times.

Absolutely I want to see the Donut gang go to Africa! They should do a series like an old top gear special where they all complete a big road trip or series of challenges and go across the continent.
Yes! And then they can have some first hand experience with a Hilux.
legit this came to my mind when they said if they should visit africa.
A nice roadtrip would be sick.
Let´s upvote this comment and hope for this to happen!
I'd like to see them focus more on engaging with the people and the car culture and examining the past and future of cars in Africa, kind of like the Brazil video.
@@Sam-lr9oi, a mix of both. Make a road trip challenge and have stops along the way that show the culture and people.
Want to see up to speed
As a kenyan viewer i approve donut for doing this video to make us feel included in the car world .
been watching you guys for a couple of year now
Respect. Peace. And Unity across the world should be how things are considering that we are all so close to each other now because of the internet. We can all learn more from acknowledging those who have experience in unfamiliar places. Nothing but the best wishes to you and yours from U.S. ❤

they talked about laraki before in their most powerful cars video where they ranked cars by horsepower

This video just shows how much Donut media is watched all over the world, much love from Africa. As a Kenyan subscriber who has also been at the Mobius plant and knows the Mobius team, I am proud of seeing this. And how you got everything right about the car is amazing, a better review than some local car bloggers.
As a South African, it would be an absolute honor to have you guys come to Africa. I can highly recommend visiting Rwanda and Zimbabwe too. The people, the food and the scenery will amaze you.

Kenitra represent!
I love how y’all managed to get that quick shot gun reload noise for Nolan at 4:04
Speaking of Factory Five, it'd be really cool to see a long term build series showcasing you guys building a kit car and giving real world data about fit and finish and the viability of your typical diyer being able to build one.
Would they be able to stop themselves from half-assing it?

The opposite of someone who doesn't have narcissism.
A narcissist don't even understand they have a mental disorder. "The most expensive cars" said by a psyopath.
Yes, here in America when we make the best rack and pinion steering part, it makes it in all our vehicles. Across name bands too. Because this one part is made the best, and it is mass produced to save money. Because making custom parts is stupid and expensive. Only a narcissist would think otherwise.
Just like a paid fast pass line at a theme park is narcissism, or a private resort.
If you think a custom made car is smart, you have narcissism.
But if you wonder why all cars that require the same power don't use the same ingine. Accross brands, because that one engine is made the best. You don't suffer from a mental disorder of narcissism.
Only narcissism makes you proud of a custom built expensive car.
A normal person is proud of a well built car, and the best gets mass produced.
Definitely not a custom car, in a private resort, and skipping me in line in a paid fast pass. While I work for my money and the other has passive income..
African here. South Africa to be specific 🇿🇦 you guys should really do an african trip, you'd be surprised at how fun the continent is and how welcoming the people are

Love that you guys keep the reload sound for Nolan readjusting his glasses. I almost missed it but it’s like a neat Easter egg for longtime watchers
As someone who worked in Kenya for a year, the import taxes on new cars was insane. A new Toyota Land Cruiser was literally double from $40k to $80k usd. I hope Kenya produces a good car company that’s far cheaper than imports, the only problem is that it’ll have to be as reliable as a Toyota which is a high bar for anyone otherwise no one will buy it and will just keep using 20 year old Toyotas that still run perfectly.
I'd love to see you guys in south Africa comparing these SUVs
omg yes man, almost like top gear style 😍
They need to come to SA,
How do you even put pictures in a comment ?!

And thanks for the content you guys is truly amazing
OG Donut viewer from Nigeria here- this episode warmed my heart.
The Mobius is based off of a Chinese SUV, FYI
Same is the case of the Innoson G80
The Zagato Perana is just a AC 378 GT
cant belive morbius made his own car brand. His mighty morbin powers turned him into a Kenyan Entrepreneur. Proud of him.
My father used to be management at the plant that the Zegato Perana was manufactured in. I remember him telling me a bit about it as a kid. Pretty small plant outside of the city that I grew up in, they used to do primarily replica v8 American muscle cars for export, things like shelby GT's, Mustangs and Cobras.
You guys definitely need to come to africa and do some car challenges . It would be awesome!
The reload sound on the glasses is great 💀
I’m already in love with the Iris. I love weird vehicles so now I want one
In other countries they have bills that go above 100... for instance, in Chile, you can find bills of up to $20,000 pesos, or about 20 bucks... so the briefcase will probably be normal sized
Kenyan here. You should pass by on your African tour. With the off-road series you can also participate in the annual Rhino charge we see how hi car and low car fare against local cars
Fun Fact: the Perana Z One is also called the AC 378 GTZ in the UK
Actually Morocco has been a pioneer in the Automotive industry in recent years reaching over 500,000 cars in 2022. The country built an ecosystem for automotive production that allows up to 80% integration in the industry. Cars are not just assembled in Morocco but built from scratch there are a lot of companies that manufacture car parts and engine parts such as Valeo, Mopar, Magneti Marelli, etc... Even ECUs are made and programmed by Moroccan engineers.
There are new Moroccan brands such as NamX (in partership with pininfarina) producing a Hydrogen powered electric vehicle and they are looking forward to rolling into full scale production in 2025.
Nolan's getting me excited to see Top Gear style long trip excursions. That'd be awesome!
As a South African I honestly admire the respect that you've shown our continent and I would love it if Dount came to South Africa for a tour ❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌

This would be a steal of a deal for a decent looking suv to start 😊
I think you need to check out Ghana 🇬🇭cars because they are really cool. I didn’t see it on the list.
The factory that made the Zagato is actually based in my hometown of Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha). I workshadowed there many years ago and managed to get in one, my fiance even went to her "prom" in one. This factory is one of the only licensed facilities in the world to reproduce the Shelby Cobra and GT40 as well as a few other vehicles and the reason for the engine being choice is they make all their vehicles fully assembled minus the engine and transmission which then the vehicle gets sold to order where the client chooses what they want. Just works out better for costs and logistics.
You outdid yourselves on this one, proper research, i was impressed that you reported the key point about Gov Soludo's use of the innoson brand!
