I played half life 2 and both episodes again with this mod and it was fantastic, I highly recommend it to anyone who want to replay the games in a new way without changing its artstyle
I played it with this mod after playing Black Mesa DE (which was the first time i touched half life) and it made the HL2 experience so much better

MMOD made the pulse rifle feel and actually look right. The reload is perfect.
I’d have preferred keep the first-person reload, but incorporate the third-person reload as a pickup animation.

Funny thing, I liked AR2 animations right until I saw SMG in Half-Life: Alyx
I feel the "belt o'mags" aspect added to it being an alien weapon.
why , valve put like fifty years to release a new game and the mmod reload is still unbeaten
Not the mod's fault that Valve took so long to make up their mind how exactly the AR2 worked
The weirder thing is that the vanilla AR2 has a large magazine but only holds like 2 or 3 pulse cartridges so that’s just 60-90 shots maximum.

It's probably intended to be added. Dunno if it's going to be implemented in the end though
After unpacking the files, I found that both of the world and view models for the Gluon Gun exist in the MMod files, but they don't have corresponding texture files. I'm not sure why they lack textures, but I hope this explains the weapon defaulting to the AR2 model.
Hopefully the gluon gun gets a proper model. The beam looks beautiful

If you are talking about animations, its pretty easy, because of how you can customize game. Today everything is possible, you probably know that, just saying anyway :P

Is anybody else having this issue, mmod worked for me for ages, but recently specifically hl2 mmod stopped working properly, the lens dirt won't work, and stuff like the light that comes from shoting a gun or using the stunstick is way to big and lights up everything, it's only like this with normal hl2 mmod, hl2 update and the episodes and lost coast work, and normal hl2 mmod also worked for ages as I mentioned before untill now, anybody know what's going on?
Why not just play update then?

FINALLY, someone who agrees with me. I think the "each slug is an entire magazine" thing helped add to the otherworldly nature of the weapon.

@@dootpoot3648 I prefer how Alyx does it: reloading is done like the original first-person, & restocking the reserve is done like third-person.

Use reshade to inject mxao

Use reshade multilut cool at .5 intensity

All these keep the core game intact while enhancing what is already there.

How the hell did you get ironsights? I spent hours downloading and setting up Mmod only to find out that there are no ironsights, just a crappy zoom. How did you do it?
You did not installed the ironsight files. Read the readme from the archive "_Where's true ironsights, it's only zoom!.txt"

You can’t it’s an unfinished feature from a different mod the only way to get it is impulse 101 or give weapon_egun
I never liked the pulse rifle MMOD reload...it didnt feel right..

How the fuck I aim?
He turned off his crosshair for this showcase, but in this mod there are many types of crosshairs for each weapon. You can actually aim from the scope on crossbow with this mod.
