As we reach the endgame of the show, Michael Giacchino introduces a theme that seems so ambiguous and straightforward that it must be hiding something more. In this video, we trace back the origins of the "chords of destiny" and explore what they may mean for the conclusion of LOST. Go watch it!

So many years after the show's ending, Michael Giacchino's amazing soundtrack for LOST still has many, many secrets to uncover. Not only does every main character have their own theme music, but much like the interconnected writing of the show itself, Giacchino's score connects locations, scenes, emotions and conflicts in unbelievably brilliant ways. For the foreseeable future, I will be exploring Michael Giacchino's soundtrack from ABC's LOST in a weekly video, covering all episodes of the show and their musical connections to each other.

Yay! You're back!
One good thing about you taking breaks is that we're delaying the inevitable end of this great analysis series. It's a bit sad we're coming to an end here. Very soon we're out of themes and approaching the last major themes for the entire series. Love your analysis of "chords of destiny" and how you tie it all together with elements from season 6, but also with "Through the Looking Glass".

I'm sure I'm not the only one that have said this before. But I really wish that by the end of this series, Michael Giacchino would give you some sort of recognition or acknowledgment for all the hard work you've put. And what I'm really hoping for is you doing an interview with him. So, fingers crossed! :)

The freighter theme also shares a similar beat to the Destiny theme and also shares chords with the Desmond X theme as the two are connected, I love how complex Giacchino’s lost score is.
It's interesting how you point out how Destiny's Theme shares chords with a lot of other themes, cause for some reason, whenever I had listened to tracks with it, I had never even noticed it as a new theme and here you've made it so obvious! Also that little Man in Black Theme in the sub sinking blew my mind a little.

Oh boy... so close
I forgot Jack was standing over concrete rather than water during the bridge scene. Adds some duality to Flocke's final scene. You mentioned this in the s5 finale vid but the destiny theme went strong there too.
