So many years after the show's ending, Michael Giacchino's amazing soundtrack for LOST still has many, many secrets to uncover. Not only does every main character have their own theme music, but much like the interconnected writing of the show itself, Giacchino's score connects locations, scenes, emotions and conflicts in unbelievably brilliant ways. For the foreseeable future, I will be exploring Michael Giacchino's soundtrack from ABC's LOST in a weekly video, covering all episodes of the show and their musical connections to each other.

- I loved that Locke's 1st theme is played here. Especially when it slowly starts before Jack talk about both Locke and the belief he had in the Island.
- Good connection between the surgery scenes. I tried to guess the other one. Must be Ben's surgery, right?
- Love how the existing themes blends into Sawyer's. I didn't know his musical themes were so prevalent in this episode.
That's the one! RUclips did not allow me to show it, but it's probably clear that Jack's motif is all over the place. 😜
I love the music that plays during Jack and sawyer's scene, followed by the main theme when Jack jumps off. Wish it were on one of the soundtracks. Really amplifies the seriousness as we approach the end.
I was listening to my whole music library on shuffle the other day and "The Last Recruit" came on so I was coincidentally very well prepped for the first have of this video :D. I think I had spotted all the themes and motifs you pointed out except the ER / Claire motif so I guess I get a B on that one lol.
There's just something really nice about how Jack's motif and Sawyer's theme are both from the same Season 1 episode and get used together so nicely in this episode so close to the end.
Nicely done! 😉 Yeah, there's parts of this episode that I'm not a big fan of, but that Sawyer/Jack pairing is really great. There's something... poetic about those themes coming together in this episode.
