Did you guys missed the part where we all know that sonny betrayed tommy and took the money and the drugs? Proof is when tommy called sonny to tell him that the meeting was a setup we see sonny infront of him is drugs and money.
Well, yeah, the situation that you brought up is surely a reason why Sonny could be the culprit. However, there are several other cases which will be discussed in one of the future videos.
I think it was diaz because vic and lance started making money and diaz was afraid of them that they would take his place, plus when sonnys plan failed about killing tommy, he saw that tommy didn't betrayed anyone in the family and he called some favours to get tommy out earlier and send him to vice city to start makin money for the family, if tommy started the drug business and send money to sonny everyone would be happy but tommy instead started his own organization and refused to give the money to sonny Ps sorry for my bad English im not American
Ken started working with the Forellis in 78` ? hmm.. interesting.. Ricardo came to Vice in 78 also, with his bro (which he killed) i would like a Vice City Stories 2, set in 1978.
I never got something quite right. Tommy as far as we know, never got confirmation, maybe just suspicions that sonny was the responsable one for tbe harwood incident. But in the beginning of the game he see tommy still working for the forellis and in his first call to sonny looked like he was commited, as a matter of "honor" to retrieve sonny's money. But with time tommy got absorved in personal power due the opportunities that ge got, still, idk why he couldn't just give then the money back to sonny and kinda become nore independent from the forelli family. Btw...tommy went back as an associate? Is that possible? I think he was a soldier (mob rank).
Thanks for the comment! We'll try to explain everything to you 🙂 Yes, Tommy had suspicions that Sonny could be the one that set him up in Harwood. However, he wasn't sure and on top of that, he was angry that the Forellis (Sonny) did nothing to get him out of the jail. The only reason he got out in 1986 was that he got paroled as we learn from VCBI sources. And now when the drug deal was ambushed and he lost the money, he was in debt to Sonny. It was painful for him because he couldn't escape the family that didn't care about him, he had obligations. However, as you said, when he noticed some opportunities, he found a way to get rid of the problem. And yes, he could pretty much give all the lost money back to Sonny, but there's one issue - Sonny would immediately tell his people to kill Tommy and take over his empire. Sonny at this point wouldn't care about the debt anymore, he would be focused on the whole cake, that is Vercetti's empire, not just a slice of it which is getting the money back. 🙂 In terms of Tommy's position in the mafia after being released, he's pretty much not welcome in the family anymore, you see that Sonny doesn't want him in Liberty City. So because he can't just say Tommy is banned from the family, he had to sent Tommy as an associate there with two mafia members as protection. 😃
@@gaminginvestigators Yes, but probably Tommy kept the rank of Soldier, i think that once you are a soldier in the mob, you get some status of "untouchable" and i never heard of mobster ranking down. The problem that you mentioned that he's not welcome in the Forelli family anymore, i think it's more a personal issue from Sonny than with the family that i guess that saw in as a legend, the problem was sonny that didn't want vercetti back on the streets and regain influence and power which could threat his position as the boss of the Forelly family.

You probably already knew and idk if you just couldn't get a good artwork of Sonny to put up there but just letting you know, the guy in pink is Donald Love who actually never speaks in GTA: Vice City, he tries to but Avery Carrington cuts him off before he can say anything.
This is a quite surprise for us considering that even GTA Wiki mentions that it is Sonny on this artwork 😮 We are not implying that GTA Wiki always tells truth, but in this case it's strange that Donald Love could look like this.. Thanks for bringing this up!
@@gaminginvestigators Dude I'm telling you now it's Donald Love and that's exactly how Donald looked in the 80's. Sonny Forelli looks nothing like the guy in that artwork!

Is that why in the first cutscene of Sonny calling Tommy he's sitting with a case full of drugs and cash..? Did Sonny have his money and drugs the whole time and was just trying to set Tommy up again? 20 years later I still have questions about all this...
That whole phone thing never made sense unless you tell me that Tom gave ken his phone number which ken gave to all the major players cause I always wondered how people got Tommy's number when that wasn't his phone
You'd think Sonny would be weary of any direct confrontation with Tommy after Tommy single-handedly offed eleven goons. Sonny's death was by his own miscalculation.

A little bit off-topic, but is anyone else bothered by the fact that in the last emission Tommy is not automatically wearing suit if you don’t already have one on? If you walk around, it is Hawaiian shirt before this mission starts. That’s what he wears during the mission and it kind of defeats the purpose of Ken Rosenberg, making the statement “that was a nice suit” plus it would’ve been a nice way for Tommy to assert himself in that scene
Betray by someone you thought was a close friend yeah I understand he wasn’t sending them the money but evidently sonny took 15 years of his life he can’t get back nor tried to really help him out. The aggressor type behavior also wasn’t making it better nor was it effect, especially against someone like Tommy who, while isn’t exactly sadistic but he’s shown he follows through.
This is the truth, Dono 🙁 Sonny really wasn't thinking clearly in terms of his reaction to Tommy's empire. He was too cocky, he should have thought this through instead of threatening Vercetti. He already knew that Tommy isn't some average gang member, he is really dangerous. Even going to Vice City wasn't a good idea if you were going to fight...
Just a word: Tommy isn’t a mafia associate, he’s actually a made man (mafia soldier), which is a level higher than mafia associate. Perhaps Sonny sent Tommy to Harwood to “make his bones” with a hit on a rival gang member but Tommy ended up getting ambushed (because Sonny planned it) and killing all of his assailants in the process.
The plotline also has way less holes than San Andreas. After San Fierro, the whole plot just falls apart in terms of consistency and missions making sense.
Excuse me. How can people prefer SA First of all in San Andreas you can actually swim. You have a lot of interiors to enter. You have gang warfare and you can eat to determine your body weight. You can go to the gym. You have a large and diverse map.
@@gaminginvestigatorsthat's not possible. Once you are made the only way out is to die. I believe it's also the reason Sonny didn't have Tommy killed directly because it would raise questions and could not have been justified.

Tommy was very right in ignoring Sonny, not kicking up to him and making a fool out of him. He never had ANY intentions of stabbing anybody in the back not Lance and even Mitch Baker points out this trait about Tommy during the cut scenes of the Biker missions. I will agree that Claude had NO loyalties but he was smart in doing so, why? @@paulvercetti4489 you say Tommy had the right to ignore Sonny because they neglected him for 15 years in prison. He did not see them neglected, as well as promised to Sonny at the beginning that he would return the money in the beginning of the story sought to do so, but when his activity began to grow, only then he felt a better moment that he could form a mafia on his own he was just waiting for the opportunity to betray 🤔🤔🤔

You know I never thought the artwork of the man with the pink suit and shades to be Sonny. I always thought it was supposed to be a young Donald Love.
Speaking of that, something i always found a bit weird in the early gta games is that sometimes is kinda hard knowing which character the artwork is trying to represent
I always thought it was a stylized Tommy
Mhm, we on the other hand always thought it was Sonny Forelli 🤔
literally the other week was when I barley found out it was supposed to be Sonny, I always assumed it was meant to be Tommy but it never looked quite right to me, I mean the suit looks way more in line to what we see Tommy wear
Some of the characters on gta 3 and vice city artwork and game designs are different from one another Tony Cipriani , Salvortore , Mercedes etc
I always dont get why you have soo little views and subs. Definitely worth 1M views and 500k subs easy. High quality and fun to watch

Really nice video guys, keep up the good work!
Sonny was a fool to try and eliminate a loyal soldier and friend but was a good leader in other aspects
It was fun that Sonny had some packages full of white stuff the time Tommy called him about the ambush... After all Tommy only got 50 000$ taking over Diaz's bussiness.
After all it makes sense for Forelli's to rub out the previous drug lords in VC - the Vances. It could all been a plan to do a couple of jobs in one gig.
That's true! Certainly, Sonny Forelli had a motive to ambush the deal in Viceport 🙂
Just got platinum on vice city and them saw this pop up. Awesome video btw.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Eric! Stay tuned for more 😃

The conclusion to your video feels less like a Video game commentary and more like a Corporate presentation
And I loved it
I work in Taxes and Corporate compliance and it was refreshing to hear my work-related terms in a GTA VC Video
It wasn't a smart move to send over a guy you tried to murder 15 years ago and who sentenced those 15 years in prison. Sonny just really underestimated Tommy and that was it was cost it's life
Don't forget after he lost everything he took control over vice city. I'd scared a man like this lmao
And that's why you shouldn't be too cocky in life 😃

You and Ray Liotta are now together 😞
Didn't Sonny got the drugs and the money back? You can see those during the cutscene where Tommy tells him the deal went south.
There is no proof they are the same stuff, Forelli gang had many, they were the most powerful in the 70s and 80s.
@@wfanking1187 The drugs aren't on the table during the first cut scene so why would they bother to add them for the second if not to suggest that Forelli was behind the hit (probably with the intention to motivate Tommy to start a fight with the local drug lords)?
@@AndreiPopescu It doesnt make sense for sonny to get that angry with tommy for not paying him back if he was the magic mastermind of the initial deal going wrong
The money and product on the table its prolly from other deals
@@skullthrower8904 Ever heard of "pretending"? He is just pretending to be angry.
@@skullthrower8904 Sonny needed a reason to kill Tommy after he had taken over Vice City. That's why he reacted like that. Also, like it was mentioned in this video and in the first cutscene: all the families (including the Forelli's) weren't into drugs at that time. Because of that it's very unlikely that a short time after Tommy's deal went south Sonny would have packages with white powder from other deals.

7:30 Tommy didn't need to send Sunny shid Tommy was naive but not stupid he probably knew it was a set up since he gave up 15 years in the pen for em no money on his books or lawyer (im assuming) for Tommy's loyalty to his gang
It his behavior as well as he’s very impatient. He an example of a boss that his behavior is quite understandable but this impatience was his undoing. Some bosses can be impatient for any reason resulting of them being careless, reckless, & violent. Those 3 behavior ( Most of the time ) doomed an individual who doesn’t have the patience & the time to be very rational.
The main problem with this main antagonist of Grand Theft Auto Vice City is that he's consumed by Pride one of the seven deadly sins, of course that didn't end well for him in the long run. Of course we can all agree that Lance Vance idiotic brother of Victor Vance made a very unwise life decision of betraying the main protagonist of Grand Theft Auto Vice City.
I think it was diaz because vic and lance started making money and diaz was afraid of them that they would take his place, plus when sonnys plan failed about killing tommy, he saw that tommy didn't betrayed anyone in the family and he called some favours to get tommy out earlier and send him to vice city to start makin money for the family, if tommy started the drug business and send money to sonny everyone would be happy but tommy instead started his own organization and refused to give the money to sonny
Ps sorry for my bad English im not American
Yoooo this is my first time noticing Lance in the helicopter for the first time 😅😅🤷♂️
Yup, he's right there 😃 We are guessing it might be hard to recognize him because of the low-quality textures though
Ken started working with the Forellis in 78` ? hmm.. interesting.. Ricardo came to Vice in 78 also, with his bro (which he killed)
i would like a Vice City Stories 2, set in 1978.
Vice City Stories 2? Sounds cool 😅

📺 “In other news, Liberty City Mafia Boss ‘Sonny Forelli’ died recently. According to Vice City coroner reports, the notorious gangster ‘Accidentally became locked in his limousine, and ate himself to death’. Associates Tommy Vercetti and Ken Rosenberg have no comments at this time.”
Imagine seeing Toni and Tommy doing hand wrestling.
But the question arises.. who would win? 😃
The Forelli's don't deserve any stake in any of Tommy's action. That ship sailed in 1971.
Is Lance always in the helicopter in the beginning of Vice City or is that an editing trick?
Yes and the other black person was victor vance
Yes, he's always there 🙂 After all he was second-in-command in Vance Cartel 😃
You arent considering the fact that sonny is shown to have the money and drugs after the dock deal. Sonny set it up. He didn't rightfully deserve anything he was playing Tommy to see how far he could take him before he could roll on with his boys and bump him off.
Well, yeah, the situation that you brought up is surely a reason why Sonny could be the culprit. However, there are several other cases that will be discussed in one of the future videos, so no worries 🙂
Its not that hard to find drugs in Liberty city, tommy calls him after a few hours to inform him about the deal how sonny got the money and the drugs from vice to liberty in just a few hours?
I love the work and particularly the research work done with your videos here man but one little mistake I just have to point out lol that phone call you played where you were lighting up who was talking on either side of the screen (not to mention, I like how you do that btw) but the guy on the opposite side to Tommy is actually Donald Love and not Sonny Forelli.
That doesnt make sense at all lol
So how exactly did Sonny get Tommy's number? Wasn't that the chefs phone? Was Sonny in contact with the chef? Is that why in the first cutscene of Sonny calling Tommy he's sitting with a case full of drugs and cash..? Did Sonny have his money and drugs the whole time and was just trying to set Tommy up again? 20 years later I still have questions about all this...
That whole phone thing never made sense unless you tell me that Tom gave ken his phone number which ken gave to all the major players cause I always wondered how people got Tommy's number when that wasn't his phone
The guy in the pink tux suit isn't sonny forelli.....that is Donald Love
Shit, Sonny should replace Sweet as the leader of the groove street families.
Gsf would not probably want a white guy like sonny forelli leading them
You'd think Sonny would be weary of any direct confrontation with Tommy after Tommy single-handedly offed eleven goons. Sonny's death was by his own miscalculation.
His brothers also caused the downfall
Marco got taken down by a GSF leader
Franco died in the Fort Staunton explosion
Mike died to a car bomb
Giorgio is unknown
Sonny’s Right Hand is dead too
Harry and Lee are dead
Tommy and Ken resigned
Barry didn’t pay them back
Mayor RC hole died
But after all these hits they still alive how and why the leones didn't attack their last base was their restaurant
I think we all know who that GSF leader is
Whenever i plays the game i get to know that sonny was justifiably angry cuz he aint got his money back instead got fake cash, he was made an antagonist for no reason
You don’t give the deer to the lions to claim later the better parts of it
I think sonny set up the deal with diaz, duaz got the mony and sonny got the drugs wich we can see during one of the phone calls
I'm surprised that Salvatore didn't recruit Tommy.
i never got that FORELLI in glass drawing of him, it doesn´t even look like him and does he ever wear that in the game?

Maurice Chavez is Sonny Forelli? 😂🤣🤣
Say what? Why do you think so? 😂
Kinda wish if they made sonny and Lance accurate like inthe Cover
How did Sonny Forrelli lost everything?
Well he messed with Tommy Vercetti!!!
I do miss this narrator. His voice is quite soothing. The new narrator is good and expressive but I miss this one
Happy birthday
wait.. is Giorgio dead by Toni Cipriani
Out of the five families I would say they're based off of the Bonannos or Colombos. Anyone have other thoughts?
Just a word: Tommy isn’t a mafia associate, he’s actually a made man (mafia soldier), which is a level higher than mafia associate.
Perhaps Sonny sent Tommy to Harwood to “make his bones” with a hit on a rival gang member but Tommy ended up getting ambushed (because Sonny planned it) and killing all of his assailants in the process.
lance vance wot a backstabber
Sonny lost everything because he screwed over the one guy that could take it

I played this game and still think Tommy is a greedy and traitorous person. He had to return their money after killing Ricardo Diaz, he doesn't have to work with them but at least correct the mistake that happened I think the two worst characters in the old GTA world are Clod and Tommy, both traitors and greedy unlike Nico and CJ who were both fighting to save their relatives I mean Sweet and Roman
I think Sonny had a foresight when he wanted to get rid of Tommy because he's a real traitor and will stab them in the back when he gets a chance 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
WHAT?
FIRST of all... Tommy did not betray anybody neither was he greedy, what kick up to guys you just did 15 years hard time for because THEY tried to whack YOU?
Tommy was very right in ignoring Sonny, not kicking up to him and making a fool out of him.
He never had ANY intentions of stabbing anybody in the back not Lance and even Mitch Baker points out this trait about Tommy during the cut scenes of the Biker missions.
I will agree that Claude had NO loyalties but he was smart in doing so, why?
Because when you get too close to somebody they will betray you before you can betray them, Catalina betraying Claude in the opening events of Grand Theft Auto III teaches Claude this lesson and learn to spell his god damn name right!
Same goes for NiKo too!! 🙄
@@paulvercetti4489
you say Tommy had the right to ignore Sonny because they neglected him for 15 years in prison. You might be right if he did that immediately after he got out of prison, but he came back to work with them and was grateful for that and went to Vice City to do a deal for them. He did not see them neglected, as well as promised to Sonny at the beginning that he would return the money in the beginning of the story sought to do so, but when his activity began to grow, only then he felt a better moment that he could form a mafia on his own he was just waiting for the opportunity to betray 🤔🤔🤔

@@LamborghiniDiabloSVPursuit
On the contrary, I memorize the story and didn't even skip the side quest stories, I enjoyed every moment. In it, but unfortunately, before that I had finished GTA SA and was fascinated by the depth of the events and story for the game from 2004 (with the story, not the gameplay). Look at it half of the missions of the second island that CJ does to Mike Torino only in order to free his brother from prison, all the missions of Jezzy and the others to reach Ryder and smoke the traitors, the police missions he carried out under the threat of torturing his arrested brother. CJ wasn't just killing for money or expanding influence like Tommy does so I was disappointed when I played GTA Vice City days after SA . The difference is vast and the story is shallow here, and the time between the two games is only two years. There were great stories in the nineties. I am not talking about the development of the game, but about its story. This does not depend on the time factor. To prove it to you, after almost 18 years, the story of GTA SA still holds up so far and competes with the stories of some modern games 🤔🤔🤔🤔
