The whole game kicks ass! I have played 100s of games so far in my life, yet no game has impressed me like BOTW did! Not just that, I played Botw in my adulthood where games don't impress me that much like it used to do in my childhood. But BOTW, made me feel like a kid again. If someone ever asks me to make recommendations, the new Zelda series would be on top of the list.
@@rehalplayz8299 TotK is usually better in everything, but not the final boss music. The Final Boss music in Botw was ESPECTACULAR, even tho dark beast ganon is way worse than the demon dragon

I shared this video with my Mom recently. She doesn't play video games, but she has been a pianist for most of her life. She was absolutely floored by the pianist in this piece. She didn't really understand why I loved it in terms of the game, but even she had to admit this was amazing in terms of the piano.
I ran around on horseback doing nothing for like 15 minutes just to listen to the song my first playthrough. The music along with Ganon’s chaotic, thunder like roaring and the sound of him spewing fire everywhere felt like a movie.
Finally! Someone who didn't divide the phases into three separate videos and didn't screw up the transitions. Thank you SO much for making this, there was another video like this (though, without the "Dark Beast Ganon Appears" part) but it was taken down and i've been looking for any other video that got it right like that one...
Thanks! I’m glad you like it. And I also had the problem of looking for this but every other video has been separated, honestly I just got annoyed and mashed the full track together myself because of it.
3:06 That transition from phase one to two is just epic. i always rewind to hear it. one downside is that phase three theme goes a little longer than my preference. this track is just incredible
This is pleasant, and I’m thankful for you doing this. The transitions are flawless and it’s just so nice hearing all the themes together and not separate
I remember my thoughts when I listened this song for the first time: Phase 1: THIS is Ganon I know I can defeat it to end my journey. Let's do it. Phase 2: I can win this, I got this, I AM THE HERO OF THE WILD. Phase 3: Don't screw this, don't screw this, dont' screw this.
I nearly didn't make it through the calamity ganon fight since all of my weapons were breaking, but I genuinely felt like a real hero getting through this fight in a single try. It was amazing
I hope someone could do a "medley" like this of the Calamity Ganon fight. (Calamity Ganon appears + Divine Beasts Strike + Calamity Ganon phases 1 and 2)

i love the way they integrate the regular battle theme piano into it at the start, that little piano riff plays subtly in the background of the plain fight theme, however when played in this boss fight, it’s more obvious and makes you subconsciously remember the fight music, almost like minecraft music, the way you almost never pay attention to it, however when you re listen, you’ll most likely remember every track.
as a final fight in general, yes. but i feel demon dragon helps with the mood better, zelda is trapped in the dragon forever as far as link knows, and he has to fight along side what is left of her
@@JRL_0795_nyz yes, this is sort of what I was saying before, how if only the music held up to the fights standards, because while the music is literally jaw dropping the actual fight was honestly easier than any boss fight in botw.
They took the boss music in a different direction in TotK because you go all the way into the sky, the piano is so fast in this one to signify that you are riding your horse. (Almost all of the horse music in this game is fast, so it makes sense to bring that speed back to the final boss.) It’s also so frantic to make up for the apparent “lack of music” in the game. I personally prefer TotK because of the beauty. But I won’t argue that this piano isn’t awesome. The TotK pianist had his moments too.
I remember going into pigu bang Ganon for the first time, alone in an open field after doing the four beasts, memories, and plenty of side quests. Just me, a horse, Zelda's innuendo speak, and that thing. No reinforcements, no flying sentries, no other characters attending, not even much of a struggle. It's the exact quilt routine I heard and saw a million times, banish Ganon with light. Standardized, empty, unremarkable. But then I remember the guy in charge of playing the scary guardian theme is now absolutely _wailing_ to our anthem and realize I'm not *completely* alone.
So like it took me awhile to notice but did anyone notice ganondorf theme from wind waker right at the beginning we also hear this theme in the end of wind waker final right before he’s about to take links and Zelda triforce hmm interesting 🤔

As much as I love TotK's theme, it feels almost... unfinished compared to this one. For what is, thematically, a far more intense battle, to me at least it takes until almost the end of the song for it to match the same level of intensity as DBG's theme has nearly right out the gate.
@Dr.Pootis It's probably because they didn't even used most iconic part of the totk main theme for the demon dragon. Botw one sounds like main theme remix while in totk it's hard to tell if it even references to the title song.
