The beauty of this game is that Ganon is as hard as you want him to be. You can grind for every heart container and stamina wheel, the most powerful armor and weapons, free all the divine beasts, and squash him like a bug. Or you can go for him immediately after you pass the great plateau with absolutely nothing. That’s why this game is awesome.

This comment is absolutely true! That's what makes the game so awesome! I once completed the game on Master mode with no Divine beasts, minimal hearts had 7 I think, gave myself enough stamina to climb skip most enemies and only the master sword. Not that the moment isn't already perfect... But man, imagine if the blast from the beasts fucking totaled Hyrule Castle. That's what it looks like it should do, just rip it to shreds.
True, but then it'd kind of be following ocarina of time with the castle collapsing. Plus for botw2 they apparently explore underneath the castle so I guess they had their reasons for keeping it intact
@@rion7088 Haha, you gave me a good laugh there, all I can see is Tai Lung saying that right there fighting Master Mod Calamity Ganon, glorious, thank you. XD
theTwoFacedAngel Same here. ALL I was thinking was "Holy shit, they did half of my work for me." Because I was extremely intimidated by Calamity Ganon's health.
What a game! this final area and bosses gave me many feelings. Going through Hyrule Castle was incredible and felt like a real castle consumed by the Calamity. The music was dramatic and is one of the best Zelda pieces I've ever heard in my life. Zelda's Diary was sad and one of the best moments in the game for me and I recommend it for anyone who hasn't done so yet. Calamity Ganon is one of the best bosses I've ever faced in a Zelda game. He has so many attacks and you can make him as hard or easy as you want and I love it. I died once but I didn't even care because of how much I love this boss. the intro was epic and the design is very interesting as well. All in all, this was one of my favorite bosses in the franchise and that says a lot considering there are some real gems in Zelda. Dark Beast Ganon is where I start having problems. The fight was way too easy and short. when I beat him I'm like "wait, that's it?!" and just left me feeling unsatisfied at how much potential it had to make full use of all the game's mechanics but it didn't. Also sad to go from the awesome Calamity Ganon fight to this things that can hardly be called a final boss. Hell, Mario Galaxy 2's final boss was harder, at least he actually aimed to damage you and not everything else. the Final blow was great but we just needed more out of it than what we got. The ending didn't help either since almost nothing big happened. like what happens to the kingdom, the Sheikah, the Yiga, or Link and Zelda for that matter. Link have any goals now that Ganon is dead? is Zelda gonna ascend the throne and become queen? what about the NPCs in the world that were hurt by the Calamity? are they gonna rebuild the kingdom, relocate it, or just leave it as is? NOTHING IS ANSWERED AT ALL AND IT BOTHERS THE HELL OUT OF ME!! I just hope the DLC fixes this a bit.
To your last point, if you collected all of Link's memories during the game you'd be able to see what Zelda and Link's plans are. (The cutscene starts at 24:05 in this video) They plan to rebuild Hyrule to its former glory or beyond. So, that's where Link and Zelda end up, and any NPCs that need aid will probably get it from those two. Zelda also mentions giving closure to Mipha's father, so she's probably going to do the same where it's needed.
True, and I did. but it didn't give us any details about it. just what Link and Zelda are doing and that's it. it gives us nothing on the other races, the Sheikah, the Yiga or anything else for that matter. or how they plan to revive Hyrule. Is Zelda gonna be queen and marry Link or are they just gonna travel around and help those in need while reviving Hyrule for the rest of their lives. it just doesn't make much sense nor any true closure. it just skips to Zelda and Link's plans and it just ends. nobody else is even shown and it saddens me.
Most Zelda games, other than maybe Twilight Princess, are pretty vague at the end. If they wrapped everything up with a nice bow then that would take away from the sense of wonder. Take OoT, for instance, It ends with Link watching Navi leave. They didn't really expand on much else until Majora's Mask came around. Wind Waker is another good example, you knew Link and Tetra went to find a new Hyrule but until Spirit Tracks came around it was up to speculation as to whether or not they actually found new land and what became of it. In A Link Between Worlds, Lorule gets its Triforce back, but it's never stated what was to be done in Hyrule nor how Hilda and Ravio would bring Lorule back from the brink of despair. Basically, most Zelda games are pretty vague at the end, and I think they do that purposefully to keep that sense of wonder and interest alive with each new title. I'm sure we'll hear more about Link and Zelda's efforts from Breath of the Wild, but it may not be until a future title.
You got a great point there. I just think it was less vague and more uninformative. This game's ending doesn't even give us any ideas about anything else really and for such a big game I feel they should've done that at least a little. I get you though and that's just me.
You know, I have a strong feeling that the expansion pass is going to give us some post-Calamity Ganon defeat story, which I am absolutely not opposed to in the slightest. Then again, they did say it was going to be an original story so I'm curious as to how that will be delivered and what exactly we'll be getting. My thought is it will either be pre-Calamity or post-Ganon defeat. More content for Breath of the Wild is never a bad thing in my mind so I'm looking forward to it!
Probably the most excited and pumped I've ever been for the final boss. Unlike the other games, you were told from the *beginning* to fear this, and prepare for some crazy bullshit. And when you get there, you receive *exactly* what you expected, maybe more. *Bravo Nintendo. Bravo.*
I don’t care if the fight itself is cake. This is one of the best final bosses I’ve ever seen. The music, the stakes, Zelda’s desperation, the champions pitching in with the divine beasts, Ganon’s chaotic nature. All of it is done perfectly
1:08 Ganon is not looking for Link in the surroundings, he is looking for his sealed gerudo body believing that he would find it in the sheikah observatory but in reality it is much deeper
That makes so much sense! It explains the trailer for Tears of the Kingdom. I wonder what kind of plot are giving us with that Ganondorf's corpse coming back to life
I'll be uploading the final Divine Beast fights within the coming days. I will still be posting Zelda content after that, however now that I'm done with the main story I can also get back to Pokemon videos, too. :)
The point of the first battle is that you arrived in time to interrupt his rebirth, he was constructing a humanoid body to rule over the world with out of malice in that little sack, but Zelda was slowing him down and you interrupt him, he's forced to just use whatever form he could mishmash in the last second.
I always loved how it was implied from the start that this wasn’t really Ganon but just a spector of gastly malice that has been acting out of pure instinct

i remember my fight with calamity ganon; i scored every flurry rush perfectly and every guardian laser parry prefectly, it was literally the best i had ever fought in the game i was pretty bad at the combat when i first started but i pushed on, learning the different combat mechanics, eventually being able to take on and farm the higher level lynels and beating all three levels of the master sword trials. and then it got to this, where i was doing everything perfectly; it was such a good feeling. i actually felt like i had improved so much and had something to be proud of from my experience playing the game
Meme Lord no they’re the same entity; Zelda even described before the battle that this is just the pure enraged form because Ganon gave up trying to manifest a new body after all its previous failures. One comment I saw though suggests maybe that freaky sack in the beginning of the battle that the calamity rips from is actually a cocoon and Ganon was trying to reform, but Zelda was slowing it and making it impossible for him to assume the body of man; so by the time link got there he just had to settle with whatever mish mosh he appeared as.
I just wish the divine beast attacks were more unique. Why couldn't Vah Ruta shoot water from it's trunk or Vah Naboris could use lightning? All of the work just for them to shoot laser beams.
I was so pumped when this fight began. Traversing through the corrupted hyrule castle and getting all the way to the top to witness this EPIC cutscene …. The music , the tone , the stakes, the danger ….and above all the pure confidence link has as he glides and descends into darkness with the tone of the music …lands so eloquently…stares ganon down with no fear , and unsheathed his sword …. 10 out of 10 game.
Loved that the divine beast cutscene wasn’t a requirement and that they actually did help make it easier. Not that it should’ve been easy, but I liked that it wasn’t a classic fake-out where the cutscene doesn’t really do anything, he really does lose half his entire health as the reward for you deciding to help others.
Okay I have been looking for hours now, and I still don't know; What the hell is the really intense song that plays when you fall down into the arena with Calamity Gannon? I can't figure it out
Ganon has been killed on a few different occasions, rather than just being sealed away. Take Twilight Princess for example, Link (or Zant) actually killed Ganondorf only for him to be reincarnated in the GC Four Swords. Also down the timeline where Link is killed in OoT Ganon is revived several times, rather than him escaping the Sacred Realm. All of that said however, Zelda does actually seal Ganon away at the end of this fight (12:39). So, down this timeline, whichever it may be, we may see a Ganon corrupted by Malice again. They seal Ganon away rather than just kill him so they can keep the evil contained, rather than have him be reincarnated at any given point in time. Anyhow, what I'm trying to say is that despite what Ganon's fate is in any game we've never seen the last of him down any timeline. If he dies, he gets reincarnated or resurrected, if not then the seal on him loosens and he breaks free, only to be sealed away again.
Rubycario I thought Ganon was killed here. I mean "giving up reincarnation to become his pure form" seems like the end for Ganon if he ends up dieing. But you said he was resealed in this game right?
@@Carson2127 But still, maybe breath of the wild is located at the end of the legend of zelda's timeline, very far in the future, and you finally take ganon out for good, never to be seen again. Who knows, maybe botw 2 will be the true ending after all.
Hello, and I have a question is the dark beast incarnate ganon fight on the field required? I’m just wondering cause I have not prepared for that fight. Also, how do you bring a horse to the boss fight? I’m so confused. Please get back to me
Yes the fight against Dark Beast Ganon is required to beat the game. Don’t worry about difficulty because it’s pretty easy, just grab the bow and shoot at the glowing points. The game automatically gives you a horse if you don’t already have one.
3:08 The Master Sword's brightness fills the screen, consuming everything in white. Glimpses of memories of Zelda emerge, one after another, as her lullaby is sang by the chanters. The final memory shown is Zelda's sealing of Ganon, the screen returning to pure white. It then fades to black. Text appears at the bottom, "For Zelda.", it reads, spoken by a young man's voice. The screen opens up like awakening eyes, revealing a zoom up on Link's eyes, face lowered, eyes upfront. The screen pans back to Ganon. "For she is my quest!" and the fight begins.
BOTW was my first Zelda game ever, but I had heard about Ganon before from RUclipsrs. So when I fought him for the first time in the castle, I was confused and said "I thought he was supposed to look like a pig?" Was not disappointed about 7 minutes later.

I was thinking "why is the video so long" then I saw you included credits
People are saying this battle was easy, but have you seen OOT Ganon, or Wind Waker Ganondorf? Nothing harder about those battles than this one. I'd argue this is harder.
the attack of the beasts is so epic, the first time i ever watched it it legit gave me chills, every moment of pain and suffering trying to solve those puzzles and kill the blights paid off when ganon got blasted to half health by all 4
The end boss fight against ganon was so good both stages were amazing all though very easy compared to the Lightningblight ganon God damn was he difficult
Dude you video rocks!!!!, this is my flavour part in Zelda the part when all beasts and champions shot off at canon I love what they say and the inspiration!!! Just that felling paying off!!!.... oh boy I love that part best out of all parts and memory's
I really wish that this boss fight held up to the build up to it. I was genuinely scared by that intro scene, but he was a complete joke of a boss... the whole Dark Beast thing gave me hope, but it was even easier.
"Shit, Calamity Ganon looks like he came straight outta goddamn dark souls" ._. That was my reaction when i went to face him lol. Also, does the order of the champions' cutscenes depend on the order you rescued them in? Cause I did it the same way. Just wondering
“Ganons right behind me, isn’t he?” “Together! we are The legend of Zelda!” “Alright, Revali, you go right and Urbosa, you go left, Mipha you distract, and Daruk…. you just be Daruk” “Is that all you got Ganon” “Oh im just getting started”
I was hoping the Dark Beast Ganon fight would have been something more like the original idea for Ganon in Ocarina of Time where Ganon was going to be colossal and Link would have to climb his gargantuan body and take him out Shadow of the Colossus style.
Ruby, question. Why didn't you reflect Calamity Gannon's lasers back at him? They're one of the things that do the most damage and as long as you tap A right when they fire you should reflect it
Namely because I haven't gotten the timing down yet, and using all 3 of Urbosa's Fury was a simpler option for me. During my first fight I reflected them back by using Daruk's protection, though, so there are a few different ways to approach that in particular. This way was just simpler for me since I don't have the timing and the attack patterns down to a T, yet. That's also why I stopped Ganon from swinging his flame sword horizontally with arrows, because I still don't have the timing right, and dealing with the flames is a hassle.
Oh gosh... but because it glows during the fight there would be a low chance of that happening, especially with the amount of damage you do to Ganon hit-wise, you’d win before it would break.
Or even worse than that - the Blood Moon. In a rare occurrence where the cutscene doesn't skip in Hyrule Castle, the Blood Moon will completely undo the Divine Beasts' attack on Ganon. (I think that's referenced in Age of Calamity somehow...)
What I find disappointing about open world games is that the first random enemy you encounter is usually harder than the final boss. Classic inverse difficulty curve. This is sadly true for botw too.
I remember the first time I fought this living nightmare fuel. I had no master sword and 8 to 12 hearts. The only help I got was from the divine beasts and I still died multiple times, but that made defeating him all the more satisfying.

Not that the moment isn't already perfect... But man, imagine if the blast from the beasts fucking totaled Hyrule Castle. That's what it looks like it should do, just rip it to shreds.
That would be so cool, like the smoke just clears and you're just in an open space.
True, but then it'd kind of be following ocarina of time with the castle collapsing.
Plus for botw2 they apparently explore underneath the castle so I guess they had their reasons for keeping it intact
1:40 Swear the champions scene where they’re firing the full might of the divine beasts makes me emotional every time. It’s just so EPIC!!!!
It's pretty hard in master mode HE JUST KEEPS REGENERATING WHEN HE CLIMBS ONTO THE WALLS
Interesting, I've yet to fight him in that mode. Might be worth a look.
Ethan McKibbin finally a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary
@@rion7088 Haha, you gave me a good laugh there, all I can see is Tai Lung saying that right there fighting Master Mod Calamity Ganon, glorious, thank you. XD
You should use urbosas fury to get him down with attack up 3 it took me 2 minutes that way
@@sirsheep8011 2 years too late but I used the ancient shield to bounce his beam back to him, that works too
The opening attack would have been so more bad ass if you didn't see his HP bar. 'oh shit did they one shot him?' 'FUCK NO THEY DIDN'T!'
TetraforceTheory I disagree. I think having the health bar to see just how much they were doing made the opening attack more awesome
theTwoFacedAngel
Same here. ALL I was thinking was "Holy shit, they did half of my work for me." Because I was extremely intimidated by Calamity Ganon's health.
I LOVE that music, when they shoot the beams into the castle!
So epic and majestic
But the way Ganon screams when they land on him tho
I LOVE how they did their power gestures when each divine beast cast its beam. It’s the little details for me.
Watching link swooping down to face Ganon is pretty epic. no fear whatsoever
1:40 is what I came for
James Mary Everyone came for it, I know I was not looking to see the actual boss fight
I came for ganon intro
12:33
Probably the most excited and pumped I've ever been for the final boss. Unlike the other games, you were told from the *beginning* to fear this, and prepare for some crazy bullshit. And when you get there, you receive *exactly* what you expected, maybe more.
*Bravo Nintendo. Bravo.*
I don’t care if the fight itself is cake. This is one of the best final bosses I’ve ever seen. The music, the stakes, Zelda’s desperation, the champions pitching in with the divine beasts, Ganon’s chaotic nature. All of it is done perfectly
Are they telepathically connected, because their timing with their different distances from the Castle is very accurate. They must of practiced...
Ganon must have silently played Oath of Order or something similar
I guess they can communicate through some Sheikah tech.

“He has given up on reincarnation.”
After the battle
Ganon : I.... I give up.or do I?
In the original she actually says "His urge to reincarnate is driving him into madness."
Madness as in angry that is. Ganon is 1 angry boi.
Rubycario i
Lucario the jackal is my favorite character along with sonic the hedgehog
I was personally hoping for him to turn into Ganondorf at the end. Still loved it though!
The point of the first battle is that you arrived in time to interrupt his rebirth, he was constructing a humanoid body to rule over the world with out of malice in that little sack, but Zelda was slowing him down and you interrupt him, he's forced to just use whatever form he could mishmash in the last second.
oh
Well I got good news
I always loved how it was implied from the start that this wasn’t really Ganon but just a spector of gastly malice that has been acting out of pure instinct

The part with the divine beasts at the start made me jizz off the bat
It's not even anime anymore its just legendary
i remember my fight with calamity ganon; i scored every flurry rush perfectly and every guardian laser parry prefectly, it was literally the best i had ever fought in the game
i was pretty bad at the combat when i first started but i pushed on, learning the different combat mechanics, eventually being able to take on and farm the higher level lynels and beating all three levels of the master sword trials. and then it got to this, where i was doing everything perfectly; it was such a good feeling. i actually felt like i had improved so much and had something to be proud of from my experience playing the game
It's hard to think this thing is Ganondorf, who used to be a regular thief.
Alondiite It is not. Calamity Ganon and Ganon in general are different beings. Also this a different reincarnate.
It was an incarnate of Demise's hatred, borne from the curse Demise set upon the land of Hyrule with his dying breath.
I just wish the divine beast attacks were more unique. Why couldn't Vah Ruta shoot water from it's trunk or Vah Naboris could use lightning? All of the work just for them to shoot laser beams.
That's why they were made.
100% agree
Well, they do. It's just that the lasers are their strongest attacks.
We uh just gonna ignore that that amount of water could possibly flood the room and could electrocute link huh.
they can but it's weak against ganon
I was so pumped when this fight began. Traversing through the corrupted hyrule castle and getting all the way to the top to witness this EPIC cutscene ….
The music , the tone , the stakes, the danger ….and above all the pure confidence link has as he glides and descends into darkness with the tone of the music …lands so eloquently…stares ganon down with no fear , and unsheathed his sword ….
10 out of 10 game.
When the champions and the divine beasts fired on Ganon did anyone else yell "FUCK HIM UP!!!!" at the screen?
3 years late; I did
Everytime I watch this I can feel the goosebumps creep onto my skin

TRI BEAM!!!!!!!!!!
Hakunka Matata I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
Anybody notice Link's hood disappears during the intro?
Yeah I kinda just thought my eyes were playing tricks but apparently not
I love how Link hit the last attack with Revali’s Gale!
I love how 4 giant fucking lazor beams do half of its hp and just shooting it with a normal arrow actually does damage to it...

1:40 I can not get over the epicness of this cutscene!
Loved that the divine beast cutscene wasn’t a requirement and that they actually did help make it easier. Not that it should’ve been easy, but I liked that it wasn’t a classic fake-out where the cutscene doesn’t really do anything, he really does lose half his entire health as the reward for you deciding to help others.
ignore my earlier comment
the trick is to deflect right when the the eye/ or in this case the cannons point glows Blue.
0:42 Gandalf and the Balrog. Like literally
Of all the cutscenes, that brief two or three seconds after 3:05 is probably my favorite moment in this game tbh
OPEN UP WIDE GANON!!

“If I go down, I’M TAKING THIS WHOLE KINGDOM WITH ME!!!”
Okay I have been looking for hours now, and I still don't know; What the hell is the really intense song that plays when you fall down into the arena with Calamity Gannon? I can't figure it out
It's called "calamity Ganon appear",
I know I am 1 year late...
"given up on reincarnation" this means that Breath of the wild is the last game in the timeline or at least as far as Ganon is concerned.
It actually says the opposite in the original Japanese version. In it he became dark beast Ganon because he will never give up on being reincarnated.
The Japanese version actually states that he *hasn't* given up on reincarnation.
Thank you!!!!!
Happy to help!
Does Gannon’s castle always stay in malice?
Yes, you can fight him as many times as you want but the game will always load you back to the moment before the battle with Calamity Ganon
Did this myself for the first time just now, and came right here for a replay. Freaking awesome.😁👍
I cried when I saw the triforce symbol
3:08 The Master Sword's brightness fills the screen, consuming everything in white. Glimpses of memories of Zelda emerge, one after another, as her lullaby is sang by the chanters.
The final memory shown is Zelda's sealing of Ganon, the screen returning to pure white. It then fades to black. Text appears at the bottom,
"For Zelda.", it reads, spoken by a young man's voice.
I didn't know that you can use a revali's gale for this that might just work
did you know you can Deflect his Guardian blasts?
Just dodge them
Erick Torres dude that makes him fall down and lose invincibility by deflecting
And also his fire ball.
Mighty kind of Ganon to just stand in one place impotently raging while Link rides around and occasionally shoots at him.
To be fair, impotent raging is kind of Ganon's thing that ends up fucking him over 😂
Interesting fact if you take ancient shield into the fight you can deflect his own beam back at him.
the attack of the beasts is so epic, the first time i ever watched it it legit gave me chills, every moment of pain and suffering trying to solve those puzzles and kill the blights paid off when ganon got blasted to half health by all 4
Yessir 😎
The intro music was absolutely horrifying and perfect
The end boss fight against ganon was so good both stages were amazing all though very easy compared to the Lightningblight ganon God damn was he difficult

That voice crack was everything tho
So sad all the good people stayed dead.. why couldn’t it be like the end of A Link to the Past?! 😢
2:33 it was at that moment he knew he fucked up
Dude you video rocks!!!!, this is my flavour part in Zelda the part when all beasts and champions shot off at canon I love what they say and the inspiration!!!

“Brace youself!”
"Shit, Calamity Ganon looks like he came straight outta goddamn dark souls" ._. That was my reaction when i went to face him lol. Also, does the order of the champions' cutscenes depend on the order you rescued them in? Cause I did it the same way. Just wondering
EspioMetroidNano nope this is the order i did it in umbursa, mipha , revail, daruk and my cut scene played the same way
“Ganons right behind me, isn’t he?”
“Together! we are The legend of Zelda!”
“Alright, Revali, you go right and Urbosa, you go left, Mipha you distract, and Daruk…. you just be Daruk”
“Is that all you got Ganon”
“Oh im just getting started”
Holy Shit. That first phase wasn;t a fight, it was a god damn BEATDOWN. Ganon didn;t get any hits in until he started firing Guardian lasers at you!
after trying this game on my own, i have to say this is a very skilful playthrough. all your movements are very efficient
And to think this thing was once humen. Danm O_O
14:07
"Lol no sorry."
I was hoping the Dark Beast Ganon fight would have been something more like the original idea for Ganon in Ocarina of Time where Ganon was going to be colossal and Link would have to climb his gargantuan body and take him out Shadow of the Colossus style.
The first part is like hell; the second part is like heaven
As soon as I hear that beep after the laser charges I hit the A button and it works for me
3:08
“My turn!”
2:38 Ganon be like: "NO, DAMN YOU DIVINE BEASTS! NOT LIKE THIS AGAIN!"
Link freaking came to my castle with a horse named poop face and died before he even got into the castle with 20 hearts and millions of food..
every time I beat the game it restart from the last save which is before ganon battle! what can i dooo to play after defeating the boss??
That’s not how Zelda games work
Ganon gave up on incarnation which means...he will be stuck as that mindless beast for all eternity
He hasn’t given up on reincarnation
Mistranslation.
Just Imagine your in a middle of a fight and the worst thing happens.......Your Master Sword Is Out Of Energy
Oh gosh... but because it glows during the fight there would be a low chance of that happening, especially with the amount of damage you do to Ganon hit-wise, you’d win before it would break.
Or even worse than that - the Blood Moon. In a rare occurrence where the cutscene doesn't skip in Hyrule Castle, the Blood Moon will completely undo the Divine Beasts' attack on Ganon.
(I think that's referenced in Age of Calamity somehow...)
Even though its an easy boss fight i do love the epic feeling of the fight
Maybe Im just easily impressed, but the divine beasts strike cutscene is one of the most epic things Ive ever seen in a game
I am going to install a tv that continuously plays the cutscenes when the divine beasts attack
3:12 my favorite part
Is there a way to doge the attack at 4:36 besides running away
You can parry it.
Everyone we can thank the yiga clan for calamity ganons resurrection
