Can’t wait for a vizier, poppy grower, lunatic game.
Having two demons both trying to convince a Vizier they’re the real demon sounds really fun.
Three if the poppy grower realizes this is an excellent opportunity to knowingly fake demon!
I feel like there would be so many jinx' with the Vizier.
I think it's a natural fit that town doesn't learn who you are if there is a poppy grower in play.
I feel like it doesn't play well with Alchemist either which is a shame because all I want to see is a good aligned Vizier.

@nathano6277 Poppy Grower doesn't need a jinx, Vizier already works well with Poppy Grower. Yes, the evil players will just out to the Vizier... but so will good players. The Vizier is a known evil, the entire good team is actively incentivised to try to trick them.
As for the Alchemist, there is a jinx, and it's quite a simple one. If the Alchemsit has the Vizier ability, then they cannot push through a vote unless at least 3 players vote on it.
i kinda want to see a vizier+atheist game
if the atheist is in the game it would probably be very interesting to tell everyone the atheist is the vizier XD
PS: and vice versa, if the vizier is in play, they can absolutely try to convince people that they are actually the atheist^^
Shout out to Daddy Ben for catching himself making an assumption at the beginning explanation and then verbally recognizing that playing a social deduction game with strangers and/or online is more stressful for some players than others. A great example of what it looks like to monitor one's privilege, and not surprising for the makers of game that included so many thoughtful, official accessibility and equity options (the Fabled).
I just have to say that Ben is the best ST in this group. No shade to the other story tellers, but I love Ben's setup. It is easy to see, easy to follow, and I love the commentary, great job! I love the explanations of why you do what you do and how the rules work.

Innkeeper + Vizier seems like a pretty unpleasant interaction. The vizier is outed evil, and their impact on the game is very visible and their drunkeness is easy to test. Other outed evil is either hard to test for drunkeness, or is the demon itself. This allows the innkeeper to use them as a control for testing potentially demon players. I'd definitely avoid putting the two on the same script after seeing this work out.
Yeah that nerfs Vizier into the ground hard. But only in a game with the AL. So its more that the AL is such a weak demon and my second or third least favorite. Im not partial to Legion or riot either but those are much stronger than the AL. Really if this had been any other demon the Innkeeper is dead night 2 and no issues arise.
@@TheLastSane1Yeah. Al Hadikia is tons of fun, but is basically “what if the Good team decided when you could Po charge?”
@@TheLastSane1 I agree that al-had made the situation worse by making it impossible to conceal a potential drunk demon. Even if it were another demon type though, the innkeeper could still act as a pseudo-exorcist with lifesaving powers. There would be more potential uncertainty, but the strategy would still work quite well.
Well if Ben had drunk the vizier instead of the marionette on the previous night they wouldn't have been able to check for Demon the next night, the more the players try these little tricks the more the storytellers will be able to use these tricks against them. Putting things on scripts together to see how they break is more interesting than not putting them together because they *might* break
@@verdiss7487 For a lot less time. Most roles were just playing outed with an AL since they can just choose not to die. Hell in the first gme I was confused the barber chose to live when making a swap so early in a game is much less damaging than later.

Vizier has very quickly become one of my favorite minions in the whole game. I am eager for the day I draw that token from the bag.
I like Organ Grinder - it creates an interesting new dynamic to the game - but I need to be in a particular mood for an Organ Grinder game. However, I'm always down to play with a Vizier.
I've only been in one Vizier game so far and I was the Vizier and it is genuinely, unironically the most fun I have had in the game so far. This part is a bit more group specific but people kept inviting me to chat thinking that no one else would do it, so it didn't even do the thing you think it would do and just have you frozen out beyond nomination/execution stuff.

At this point, it's got to be visier, OG, fearmonger and psychopath for The Tomb minions. They all have public abilities that affect executions and kills.
I dunno how vizier and fearmonger can play together because they could just win every time.
Vizier and Fearmonger are currently jinxed, there are unlikely to be jinxed characters on a script together

The Vizier is known evil. It's known that he probably is going to be in on something with the evil team. And even if _you_ won't talk with him, that just means he has the power to _stop_ you from talking to others by...showing up.
Love that in effect JoJo got revenge on losing as Vizier so quickly in first game by single-handedly taking out the Vizier in the second game..
A Vizier script, with a saint, evil twin, and a goblin?!??! what madman proposed that insanity?!?!

This didn't feel like it showcased playing the Vizier but only the impact that character has on the game, potentially at the expense of the player. There were almost no times we saw the Vizier talking with anyone. Would be interested to hear how Aggie felt.
Clockmaker count of 3 is not that unlikely. In a game of 12 it's a 20% chance, so players shouldn't treat it as, "Oh, I'm poisoned or the marionette." However, while it looks really bad when looking at grimoire, from player perspective, it's not that damning. Given the correct clockmaker count of 3, 3/7 odds that Vizier is sitting 4-6 from demon, meaning you can't act on this info immediately. So IF the clockmaker is not evil, and IF the clockmaker is not poisoned, THEN there is a 4/7 chance that one of TWO players is the demon... It's the sort of info you save for later, to cross-reference with info on the next few nights, not start to execute the two players 3 away from Vizier on day one.

This video was extremely fun! I do think this script needs more work, as it heavily favors good imo. The Baron can lead to more outsiders, and the outsiders all don't really mind dying too much, which nerfs the Al-Hadikhia heavily. Additionally, there's too many powerful roles in town.

Naturally you don't *have* to but i can't see not putting in the extra fabled to actually explain that it *could* be meta'd
the first time i ran an al-had game the demon consistently picked themself and it was so nerve wracking for me and my co-ST (they lived each time)
So, a Pixie who sees Choirboy means that the Choirboy can't be the Mario (at least IRL, with only one of each token available.) I don't think you can show the Pixie a Mario's false token. I'm not sure why Adam suspects JC as Mario, unless he thinks he may not be the Pixie, but the Drunk or the Mario.

The marionette voting on their demon there is 100% the correct move, the only out was the double bluff.
In a spy game, you'd have to make sure that the spy's vote never counts as a good one, right? that's just unfair otherwise
It's still a player confirmed not to be the demon. Plus the innkeeper can choose both of them in that case and then execute the spy
I really wish they'd change that intro bit, the fire crackling and the high pitched noise always hurts my ears at the beginning. Massive sensory overload :(
High risk, high reward play. Clockmaker is Too strong with a day 1 outed evil. Not much of a chance for Alejo to win.
I assume there's a jinx between Lil' Monsta and the Vizier? Because a player that can't die in the day holding the baby seems unapproachable for good.

I don’t know about the show, but based on the books, I *might* be tempted to say Choirboy would be more of a “probably not”- or even potentially a “maybe”- than a hard “no”. There are septs (religious buildings dedicated to the worship of the Seven- most common religion in Westeros), and I believe during the battle at the Blackwater or somewhere close-ish to that time, Sansa attends a service at one and they sing some kind of hymn dedicated to the Mother. So it’s completely plausible that choirs could exist and contain choirboys, though they might be called something slightly different.
…then again in the context of a BotC game with my friends, I’d probably keep it simple and just say “no” as well, lol
Shouldn't Adam have learned that he had the choir boy ability as they said he didn't break as he did claim. Cause he learns the second the player is dead so the drunk wouldn't stop that info if I'm correct?
Pixies don't learn when they get their ability (or it would confirm people), they only learn if/when they have a chance to use it.
Hi, I'm not sure if this is mentioned on the stream but how do the poisoner and vizier work together? Because if the poisoner poisons vizier on night one, vizier is not announced publicly right? And then even if the poisoner doesn't poison the vizier from night 2 on and the announcement is made there, vizier will have spent a day learning roles of good players.
Yes, that's exactly how it would work. - Ben
seems fair, you've got both minions giving up their powers for day in exchange for just having standard info-gathering ability. And once the poisoner does switch to a different target then the good team will immediately know that there's both a vizier and a poisoner in play (barring other explanations like pit-hag or sailor)
there's also no way to actually know whether or not your fellow minion is a vizier until day 1 starts - you could be poisoning a witch or a spy
@@kinotherapy yeah you're right actually. at first I thought it'd be quite advantegous for the evil team to have that combo but there's still the trade-off as you explained.

@@likky1 They have no effect on the Game, so the storyteller won't reveal them at the start, and also doesn't have to defer to them after every nomination either. Ben did when they were drunk.because they had already announced them as Vizier and if they didn't, they confirm them as drunk

Shade malding at 1:43:43 about executing the vizier off a innkeeper demon/vizier drunk is so funny. First time playing BotCT maybe? Dude should watch the vids on this channel! Minion execute on 7 is very good :)
Problematic script, imo. As Jojo clearly showed, the flaw is that the IK can just shut down the Viz and they can prove the demon since ST has no choice but to drunk the Viz if they are both selected. The AH has no way to directly kill the IK so that player can play fully outed. Mostly, I'm not a fan because, once the strategy is revealed, it is kind of boring and predictable. From the reaction of the players at the end, you can see that it was a rather lackluster game of BotC.
What about a legion game with a poppy grower
As a storyteller, should I be asking the vizier to make a choice? I think it makes more sense to still not confirm the role, force the character to make an affirmative choice, especially on a script where a pit hag may have made a change from the vizier to something else.
It's good to not ask, just say at the beginning that you won't be prompting but you'll let them think for a second
You can do it either way. They can always say "no" or say "yes" when they know it won't go through because they've changed character or whatever. - Ben

This seems really contrived and pretty far disconnected from the way the game is intended to play.
