- Apologies for the lack of uploads last week. To make up for it, here's an epic, 16-player game of Trouble Brewing which we capped off our May Megastream with. It makes use of The Voudon, a Traveller who's presence means that only they and the dead may vote.
Storyteller for this game: Ben Burns (community manager for the Pandemonium Institute)

The highlight of this game was Amy doing the info dump to Ivy and Ivy realizing how bad their situation was
The discussion about the spy game was great, too. It can't be a spy game, the kills are just too bad even if they try to hide that it's a spy game!
Amy was the MVP of the evil team.
Even if evils didn’t know Evin was mayor, they were told publicly for multiple days that he was confirmed by most of the town and never tried to kill him.
I loved this evil team. Not because they were especially effective but because they just could not stop throwing each other under the bus. The fucking poisoner considered poisoning the imp to make sure the imp couldn't star pass to them AND THEN THE IMP STAR PASSES TO THEM! Fucking outstanding.
man... it was hilarious in hindsight
@@alejoblack368 When you announced "You don't have to do this. I'm the demon. I'm already on the block" and Kohav shouted back "Mayor win!" I laughed until it hurt. Thank you for the video!
This was such a fun game to play... if I'd thought it through I'd have forced a fiddler between me and Harmony but I had no idea there was a mayor so I thought we could get there organically and more entertainingly
The voudon poison check is pretty genius. 😄
I may have already watched this on twitch twice, but it's a really fun game, so it's time to enjoy a third viewing.
I think Amy's argument against the Major bounce at the end is wrong. The whole premise is that Evil is an informed minority. If they fail to communicate that is a mistake on their part. Nothing more and nothing less. Might communication look sus? Yes, but that is part of the game! And it can be worked around by communication chains (which of course make communication difficult but that again is part of the game).
In a sittuation like this with the major basically deliberatly only being attacked right before the final day I would have bounced the kill as well.
end game solve(?):
2 evil put someone on the block, then when the goodies do the removal, 2 evils and a surprise evil traveler put the new person on the block instead.
Only alive players can nominate. Without Alejo nominating there are no nominations, and once he nominated the evil team had no one left to nominate.
Need NRB players with pandemonium institute gamers!!
I think it's happened once or twice already. Elliot had a banger of a run as Witch. Maybe the best and luckiest Witch game I've seen ever (online). However I agree. Sully would become even more beloved.
Pandemonium players>NRB players.
I noticed that Alejo's first day as Imp he didn't leave the town square at all - Amy should have taken him aside, right?
I think kohav could have forced a mayor win by saying "We lynch Matt, I'm the monk, I'll protect Evin through the night forcing the imp to kill me since they can't kill the other saint" instead of trustnig for the mayor's ability.:)
amazing game all the way through though
Just what I wanted for my birthday!
Happy birthday!
Hippy bath day!
Missed a perfect opportunity to do Voudon’t fear the reaper.
This was awesome
My favorite part was when the creator of the game outed the good team's roles to a baddie.
An evil Voudoun't should never be in the same script as a goblin. They would quickly end the game by nominating and executing the goblin.
Just like Ben said “then town will just exile the Voudon and execute someone else”
@@fawful9992 and this would always be a D1 move on such a script, so Voudoun't doesn't function on such a script. It would waste time and do nothing.
@@RoderickEtheria why would this "always be a D1 move"? the voudon knows they'll be exiled if they do this, out themselves and the goblin as evil without getting a goblin win, and lose their power. if I were a voudon I definitely wouldn't do this
How does one get into a game? Not necessarily with this group but online nonetheless..
If you're looking to play online, the fan-run Discord server is a great place to start. They're super friendly there and often have games for new players: discord.gg/kjHk4kT
As lockdowns are ending, some of the groups that have one of our prototype physical copies of the game are starting to run live games again. Check out our 'Where to Play' page to see if you're near any of these groups: bloodontheclocktower.com/play

In games like this is it just etiquette not to look at the cottages each night or how does that work?
The cottages are set to only be visible to the Storytellers/admins. So the players can't actually see them. When they're thrown into one by the Discord bot, they can only see the cottage they're in. - Ben
If you’re an admin, you can see them even if you’re not the storyteller, so yes a non-storyteller admin collapses the category so they only see the channel they are in. Seeing anyone else’s channel would be cheating, as you would know who gets visited in what order.
Well…… now I grabbed a beer
With a starpass to recluse, as it is 'may register', could it fail if the story tellers wants it?
Yes. But you'd be being a bit mean if you didn't allow it to happen. - Ben
Omg. Kohav has such a cute voice
Yea I know, she sounds about 12
Oh look it's daddy Ben
Is there a reason an evil voudon who doesn't like the dead-vote balance couldn't self-remove by exploiting the Traveler rules and saying, "I'm leaving the game?"
Not at all. That's a totally legitimate play. However, it would also remove them from the voting pool. Given that the evil team is so small, that's likely to remove a quarter of a third of the evil team's voting power. - Ben
The Butler is a little dull as a character and I would not be very excited if that was the role I got dealt, as it doesn't give you much to do. Couldn't it instead be something like "Each night, choose a player (not yourself); tomorrow, you are mad about agreeing with their nominations and voting"? Or have I missed something clever & strategic the current version of the Butler adds to the gameplay?
It looks dull, however because you can not voet every time, you are focussed on who votes when and why. From that you can get quite a lot of info. Other players might not keep track of voting paterns as much, but you HAVE to...
It's possible that madness might be a way to change up the Butler a little, but as the 'introduction' script, Trouble Brewing is one that we definitely wanted to keep madness out of.
- Evin
@@BloodontheClocktower just look at how Ben B. used the butler in his game as the imp. Game expo night 3 I believe. Get the butler on your side and that's another vote for evil.
Could be a funny new outsider role called the "Hostage" or "Tag-Along"
@@TheFinalChapters The same way you enforce any rules in a game. If someone regularly ignores them, you stop playing with them.
Godlings, wouldn't it have been amazing (though highly anticlimactic) if Deviant had said "Ivy" instead of "Fran" when taking his shot in the dark?
Scarlet woman catches it, but still funneh
I wish these were done like NRB tried watching these and it's just not as fun just having Daddy Ben sitting there is nice but it's definetly more boring
Mayor wins feel like a waste of 2.5 hours to watch. Seeing something from that double saint would have been so much more interesting
to be honest, games with lots of players are a bit of a drag. because of alpha gamers like Amy a lower percentage of players get to speak
