I went and looked in the nest and saw this cuckoo just chilling in there. I put all three eggs back in the nest and told my youngest daughter to go get me two plastic Easter eggs halves and I put that cuckoo into that plastic Easter egg and sealed it up, let us see how strong it is to get out of that. One side is yellow and the other is green.

No, once a cuckoo chick pushes all of the other native chicks and eggs out of the nest the parent birds will then take care of the lone cuckoo chick as if it was their own. That is this species of cuckoo’s strategy of survival. It will never stop trying to push all the other contents of the nest out until it is the only chick that remains.

I disagree with your first sentence and the the rest of your comment. The camera man wanted to let the cuckoo keep pushing out the other chicks so he could video it for more posts. He will get more views. That is unethical. Booo.
