The cuckoo chick was very unlucky. First, the 2 host chicks always pile on it together; second, it wasted a lot of energy & time pushing at the wrong direction; third, human intervention by constantly placing the chicks back.
they already pushed them out many times but luckily they put them back in the nest and not eating much so it will eventually die sooner if they stop feeding it behind cameras
You are right, it did still try to push them out. But the chicks are too heavy and had a hard time to free himself from their weight when it come underneath them to push out.
Looks like you seldom see how the bird mother tidied her nest. And how the chick pooped, they volley their buttock toward their mom when they are going to poop. If the mother tidied well, different kinds of ant will attack them from the smell. After feeding the mother did always wait for if they poop or not beside the nest if
@@valahlawnmual4069 I liked it especially because the baby bird made his caca right in the cuckoo brother's face 😆😩 of all the ways he could have directed that caca, he put the poop right there in baby cuckoos face 😂 and I can't help my strong urge to attribute human qualities to these nestlings, maybe because how much I look forward to seeing another day of them. Their behaviour seems so much like the way some human big brothers will tease and do kinda mean stuff to the little brother. In the past week, I've even started calling them all by human names. I call the cuckoo Harvey, the big one is Peter, & middle child is Joshua 😁

The youngest will surely starve to death if it doesn't get food soon! The videographer should dig up some earthworms and grubs or find some small crickets and grasshoppers to feed Junior!

Looks like cuckoo still trying to push. Bird chicks grow very fast, if the cuckoo gets timing wrong they might not able to eject nestmate
