Met this 18yo at a tint shop who parents had just bought him a Scatpack as a graduation gift. I asked was it ok to give him some advice about these cars. I told him to don’t listen to his friends while driving. Be respectful to others on the road and even if he is doing the right thing, he will still be looked down upon. A real respectful young man and appreciated my advice.

Giving a kid a V8 car makes no sense to me.
Giving a kid any high powered car a v6, v8 or any other displacement. I have a grandnational with about 500hp and a kid in a nissan gtr pulled up and wanted to race on a busy interstate. He probably was pushing 700 to 1000hp. I'm not putting my life or anyone else's in danger. I a f150 cross the line and hit me head on in my camaro. I fractured my whole entire left leg. I can still hear and feel that impact.

Retired police sergeant, traffic homicide here. The worse thing you can do, is buy a powerful car, for an inexperienced driver. Tragically, I've had to make death notifications to those parents. It usually takes a tragedy to open the eyes of the rest of these kids. Most young people feel invincible and don't realize you can be ended in seconds before you even know it's about to happen.

Absolutely sad situation I would like to add that you should not confuse a car meet with a takeover. I attend a lot of car meets and this never goes on. The terminology is important because it presents an idea to someone when they hear it. These events are called takeovers and takeovers only. And the car community completely are against it and do not support it. Introducing car meet to this issue brings on heat on the ones who actually meet, look at cars, hang out and talk 👌

treat these high horsepower cars like a gun, I dont even cut up while I have passengers , yea if its open road and late ill push it to 160 etc but I never have n won't ever do it with passengers
