The countdown makes my stomach drop even more
RyzeHasNoFriends same
Least it gives u a heads up, bro.
I like the countdown it really let's you know when to expect the start rather than just having to guess when it will
First time I rode this I realized at "TWO!" what was happening and I was terrified. Love this ride to death but I always get a little anxious at that part (even just watching a video...)
The countdown is the best though xD
This is one of my favourite coasters of all time. The ride itself isn't special. It's not the biggest, the fastest, nor the most innovative.
However, the _theming_ makes it something truly special. It's just pure, concentrated fun.
its called Disney...
Hate to be that guy but the launch is force less and I always have a headache afterwards.
Absolutely agree...with Young Lust, F.I.N.E and Love in an Elevator playing it makes the ride even better.

During my Disney internship I was able to ride this 23 times in a row before the park opened. Got to do it with lights on, off, music off, star wars music. It was the coolest.
Nice! They let you listen to the ride with the galactic nights overlay? That’s pretty rad
@@Theme_parchive yeah it was mad cool. I was apart of a group testing an app that I'm not sure was ever released, we had to have it running while we were on the ride lol. It was like 5:30 AM - a nice way to start the day 😎
Sheeeeeesh
Not sure why you would want music off
I worked the ride as a CP and I remember early morning test groups coming through once in a while!
Damn I never realized how boring the layout was until seeing this. The theming makes up for it, but it feels a lot faster and more intense than it actually is
Viraan I think there’s a corkscrew in there somewhere too but yeah it’s Disney so I guess they didn’t wanna make it too much or something lol
Still amazing though
I’ve seen the construction pictures & it basically looked like a twisted metal knot (the building was built around the completed coaster track).
FarFetched
Ikr
I think that this certain run through has reduced speed because I think it’s for young engineers trying to learn about how it was made
Pray disney never gets rid of this ride or tethemes
There are definitely plans to retheme this ride. There are 2 more phases in the works for the Hollywood Studios refurbishment.
The Paris one is already being rethemed.
Probably star wars
@@sunlit2590 Star Wars Galaxies Edge is on the opposite side of the park as Rock n Roller Coaster.
@@robradical7213 yeah so is that shit bay they built for star wars. That park is centered around star wars now. They could have built a completely different park for it. Instead they continue to destroy that place.
Why does every Disney roller coaster that is in the dark feel so intense but with the lights on it feels like your normal rollercoaster.
When you physically see your surroundings, you are coordinated enough to underatand your true movement. By blacking everything out like space and Rockin, you lose your sense of coordination and you really are relying on wind to the face and sounds. With some extra inagineering it can feel extremely fast and crazy.
That's why it's a dark ride
Because of the unknown.
Because it’s disney
Right like space mountain! Space mountain is fun and scary in the dark but with the lights on it’s actually underwhelming.
lies. no one just flies like that thru LA traffic. LIES, I tell you.
Zachary Scott u absolutely right.L.A traffic is like one of the worst in a west coast city and freeways are always shutdown
Well at that speed, you'd probably cause like 500 or so wrecks and a lawsuit at best. Realism isn't Disney's specialty.
People - saying that the rides are too tame at Disney
Me a c o w a r d - no I think they are just right haha
relatable
Yeah! They’re not suppose to be scary. The reason is cuz it’s a themed park not an amusement park. They make these things for the older kids and parents. But they don’t get to extreme. Ur technically suppose to be in all the Disney stories. That’s the whole point. That’s why Disney is my pace because I can’t do anything extreme. This is just perfect!
The thrill of this ride is unreal. Hearing that countdown gets me pumped everytime
Hearing the countdown makes me nauseous, but honestly the second I’m moving I’m pumped
Me to bro
same!
This was my first real roller coaster. And unfortunately, it’s most likely my last. I almost cried watching this. I went when I I was 7 back in 2000, just after it opened. My sister and I had only seen the posters for it, which made it look like a VR experience more than a roller coaster. I didn’t know what I was getting into until after we got past the recording studio in line, and hit the chain link fence. That’s where I saw the actual cars taking off and I burst into tears. (For reference, I was also scared shitless to ride TEST TRACK, so I’m not big on rides. I later discovered that test track is fuckin fun, and not scary at all, despite the cars whizzing over your head when you walk in) But I was FREAKED OUT when I saw RRC take off. I don’t do roller coasters. My family made me come along anyway. We were already in line for hours. I had tears all over my face, but I sucked it up. I’m mostly afraid of heights than anything else. The darkness helped SO MUCH. The picture of us during the takeoff is still in my bedroom, because my face is absolutely priceless and my parents had to buy it. I look horrified. We went back to Disney a few years later, and I went on this ride as many times as I could. I even managed to sneak a single rider run through right before the park closed, while my parents sat at a picnic table. Then I had brain surgery in 2013 and 2 more in 2017....
After endless research on pretty much every roller coaster death in America, MOST are due to pre-existing heart or brain conditions. (Which is really awesome news for healthy people!!! It’s really statistically unlikely that anything bad will happen...) But I could risk actually dying. I can barely handle an elevator moving too quickly anymore. So I just had a flashback of 7 year old me, screaming my ass off, and then having the best time of my life. 😅 Thanks for the video. 🙏🏻
This was supposed to be my first roller coast at age 13 but once my mom saw that it was a launch coaster and my sister, who was ten, had big crocodile tears in her eyes my mom let my grandmother take us the chicken exit. I love all the other roller coasters at Disney though and my sister is a big roller coaster freak now but at the time she wasn't. I'm still not that into roller coasters.
This made me sad
Man that’s sad, but obviously your health is much more worth it than any amount of roller coasters.
I was also gonna ride this once, and I knew what was gonna happen too! We got the fast passes in advance to make it quicker to the front but once we saw the trains, I FREAKED OUT! Seeing how fast they went, I was terrified, cried, and chickened out while my cousin and brother went on. I feel bad since my mom didn’t get to ride it but I will make sure to ride it next we go.
Wish u perfect health my friend
sad that this is like the only coaster with an inversion at disneyworld
True, even the new guardians coaster is not to have any inversions
There’s a coaster with a inversion in Tokyo disney
Max Thrills which ride?
Zachary Tannenbaum at Disneyland Paris there are 3 rides with inversions, this, Indiana Jones and space mountain.
Rock'n'roller coaster at Disneyland Paris has been closed a few months ago now
Soooo the people I was with lied to me and said this was a gentle simulator where you just drive around a city. They were like “oh no it’s fine it’s really gentle and you don’t go upside down or anything.” (I didn’t own a phone yet, otherwise I would’ve totally looked it up). No one told me to put my head back so it slammed into the seat when we accelerated and I was out. I came back around the 1:15 part of the ride. I had to lay down for 10 minutes after going on the ride because I have a condition that makes it too dangerous for me to go on a ride with inversions. So yeah I have fond memories of this... not 😂
Yeah a ride called “ Rock N Roller Coaster” is definitely not a simulation lol. That’s a mean trick your friends played on you
Take them to six flags and put a blindfold over their eyes. Tell them you're going to get some ice cream
Same thing happened to me but on avengers flight force
I don't particularly like loop inversion coasters and it sounds crazy but this ride is so smooth and the Aerosmith music playing still makes it awesome.
You barely notice the loops because the soundtrack is a blast and the launch from standstill is still in your mind.
I'd definitely recommend to anyone unsure of inversions. Give it a go.
This is what I needed to read. I am going to give it a try.
I agree. This was my first ever roller coaster with an inversion. For the longest time I was terrified of rides that went upside down. One day I decided to suck it up and go on this. And yeah the darkness and atmosphere makes you forget there’s any inversions.
Loop?
You mean the Sea Serpent Roll.
Bro i i didn't see any Vertical Loop on the Layout
You….you think this ride is smooth? I imagine you grew up with mostly Disney rides and haven’t been to a park with decent rides?
When I rode this, the launch terrified me more than anything. I barely noticed the loop.
My absolute FAVORITE rollercoaster so far, if not ever.
Same here :) that’s what my channel is all about! Best Disney coaster ever in my opinion
Andrew Tso No, because I’m a beginner of rollercoasters. So I’m leaving the opportunity open for an even better rollercoaster in the future. But so far, Rock n Rollercoaster is my favorite.
To me it Kinda felt like the revenge of the mummy at universal
ArsalanTheMonkey Haven’t been there yet, but if it’s like Rock n Rollercoaster, I’ll love it !
Rachel Rojas go to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio they have a bunch of awesome roller coasters that are bound to be your favorite, it also has the nickname "America's Rockin Roller Coast"
I was showing this to a friend after my trip and I didn't even realize there was music playing the whole time.
Guess I was screaming too loud.
savannah marshall - Each of the trains plays a different Aerosmith song. I love screaming the lyrics along with them, but I’m a longtime Aerosmith fan so I know all the words.
@Dylan D'Agostino Mine did the first time I road it too. I've also had Sweet Emotion which really fits this ride too lol.
@Dylan D'Agostino have u ever on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios in Orlando,FL ??It's a coaster in which riders get to choose a song from several genres of music that they want to play during the duration of the ride .
I see now why the lights are off, the ride is boring as sin without that part
If you think this coaster is boring, you must consider 99% of Disney World's rides and attractions as dogshit lmao. I mean this is literally their best coaster, and all it is it a clone of Xpress by Vekoma.
RemixedVoice I’m just talking about the layout, it doesn’t really do anything, when not doing an inversion, it just meanders around, plus the mid course kills the momentum so hard
@@Specialguy29 It's still fast as hell.
With the lights on, the building looks like a trash dump with all the signs and set pieces cluttering the place.
@@RemixedVoice he means the layout is boring, which it is
With the lights on, it looks smaller than I imagined it would be.
ruclips.net/video/VlYWuzask-8/видео.html
Well, I'll tell you that it's a very different case if you were to ride it yourself with the lights on. also, the link is to a somewhat direct "clone" (not sure, might be the original version of the spaghetti bowl vekoma coaster, it simply had a later opening date).
This will always have a place in my heart. It wasnt my first coaster. But as an 8 year old in 09. It was my first looping coaster. I remember being so scared. When I saw the launch i started freaking out. Begging to leave. But my mom just said ill be fine. Part of me wanted to ride. Part of me didnt. So i didnt leave. In those days i remember them not having a count down and more just randomly launching down track at any time. My face in the picture showed it all. I ended up loving it. Fast foward to 2015. We get to go again. I waited in line this time as a 13 year old and one who loved coasters. Still a bit nervous but not scared. I loved it that time. We went back again on our last day as part of our extended hours pass. I rode it by myself once and then one lass time with my mom. Later that year she was diagnosed with cancer and died in October. Its only fitting that the first looping coaster i ever rode with my mom was also the last looping coaster that i got to ride with her. Will always be a top 10 coaster for me
That's beautiful, I went on at 11 scared out of my witts, like u, I wanted to leave and didn't. Haven't done it since, referring back to this vid to build myself up to it again. Wasn't sure if I wld do it, but after reading this, I think I shld. Well done for sharing ur story so publicly, and rest in peace to ur mom x
This is my favorite ride. I’ve been on it a million times but every time I’m in the line my heart races and especially sitting there knowing what’s going to happen and the countdown. Then I love it again the second it blasts off
I had the honor of being a cast member on the opening crew for Rocking Roller Coaster. That meant a lot of preliminary rides before opening to the public, some in the dark and some with the lights on. Lit up was, to me, always scarier because you saw every beam and post that potentially could knock your head off. RRC was and still is my favorite WDW ride.

That's pretty neat with lights on.
When you ride in the dark you really have no sense of how tight the tracks are to itself as it loops around.
Very cool.
i remember riding this when i went to disney studios before the retheming to hollywood studios when it was the old mgm. this ride was amazing. i'm blind, so can't see the theming, but the sound track when you're on the ride is really something, adds to the experience of a normal coaster, and that launch is just fantastic too. the person i visited the park with did try to describe the signs and things as we rode the second time. a very good coaster that has stood the test of time.
Yes indeed it has! :D

I meant he responded to someone who probably wouldn’t see it, chill
@@toplonghorn831My screenreader lets me read notifications and replies. plus there are some lights on videos where people are commenting on what they come across, especially during "in show exits." TPM vids is good for those, very audio heavy in all their videos. also, I was with someone who could see when I was riding the coaster. we went round twice, and the second time they were able to focus on the theming a bit more and describe it to me off ride. even with no theming, EG how I experienced the ride as a rider who is blind, it's still a really good coaster.
Me watching this to convince myself “it’s not gonna be that bad”
Edit: I ended up riding the roller coaster was rlly fun the only part I didn’t like was the beginning
It won’t be. After the launch it’s smooth sailing. Not even really that intense.

First launched coaster was this one. Something about how violent the launch was really stuck with me - even going on TTD, Accelerator, etc - I can still remember how the launch on this one took my breath away
Nice
57 mph in 2.8 seconds, roughly as fast as a Mclaren Senna.
THANK YOU! I love launching coasters, mainly due to this one, but it's very forceful. People really underestimate it.
I like it dark cuz you don’t know what happens next so you don’t expect anything.
Yeah this is only for employees. Imagineers, and inspectors. This was footage taken by inspectors
Just rode it, really fun. I was nervous about it going upside down but I actually loved that part. I would highly recommend this to anyone scared of going upside down, it will change your view of that.

Pretty small ones, maybe 10ft drops
Can’t remember too well bc I went 2 months ago though
I’m scared of going upside down and me and my family might go so I’m trying this ride!
that countdown is just so different then any other launch coaster ive been on. The theming on this ride is INCREDIBLE . Disney, never EVER retheme this because omg. this. is. my. fav. coaster. ever!
I remember my first time going on this my dad lied to me and said "It doesn't go upside down" and when it did in the middle of the ride I was yelling at him- We ended up going on it twice and this is the ride that got me brave enough to go on the Hulk ride FIVE TIMES IN A ROW and Rip Ride Rockit
I mean while i was at the line there was a voice message that said "Remember this has dark areas, fast speed and upside downs" (i was terrified while hearing it)
This is the type of roller coaster where you can never put your hands up or out of the cart
I’ve done it.
Here's something even more terrifying to do for some people: Don't hold onto the restraint. It's amazing especially on the inversions

@pinkpassiverogue right, thanks
Yeah, still is for 5 year olds lol. Especially with the lights on. Rock N' Roller Coaster was the "big kid" coaster that broke my fear of inversions way back when, but it is very tame and with the lights on, very boring compared to other coasters I've been on since I was a kid. @@eyebrowse I haven't had the opportunity to ride a new Vekoma yet. They look amazing though and I hope we get one in the US soon.
@@CEmanified same, really hope their reputation as good doesn't precede them
@@CEmanified im in a cursed park with one of the smoothest old vekomas and one of the roughest

This is a pretty simple coaster and feels soooo different when seeing it in the lights! With all the lights, music, and dark, it is sooo thrilling!
hopefully someone can answer this. Im terrified of roller coasters but loved incredicoaster, will i like this?
Yes. It’s similar to incredicoaster only shorter
@@Theme_parchive i just left disney and it was my last time. i didn’t ride this.. and i’m kinda sad. should i ride it next time? i like slinky dog, test track, splash mountain and 7 dwarfs and thunder mountain and pretty much all the other rollercoasters at disney, lol. do u think i would like rock n rollercoaster? i was too scared when i saw the launch..
@@Theme_parchive and i also have never ever ridden a ride that goes upside down.
@@ella-rk5tn you don’t even notice the inversions. The forces keep you pressed into your seat the whole time. It’s a very smooth ride as well and the seats are pretty comfy. If you like most Disney thrill rides you’ll love this ride. The fastest part of the ride is the launch at 57 mph (slower than test track) and it doesn’t retain that speed for very long. It’s pretty much a family coaster with two inversions.
Yes you will like it, Im usually scared of most coasters but the worst thing is the launch because of the sheer force of launching you around 60 mph but after that its really fun
I hate this ride the loop is the worst part!!
Imagine dandy‘s world characters on this ride oh wait I can do that already LOL here are reactions(do the rest in my replies because I’m only doing my OC and flutter in this one because they’re both next to each other)
Layla: ⏃⊬ ☊⍀⏃⋔⏚⏃!!(ay cramba!!)
Flutter: !!!!!!!!!(AHHHHHHHH!!!!)
I still remember getting on this, this was the first time I had ever been on a Roller Coaster that went upside down. I had until then been scared of that. Since this is inside a building, I didn't know that it went upside down until I got strapped into the seat and the announcement said something about keeping your hands inside because the track has loops and I was like WHAT! NO lol. But I did it anyway and loved it, been on as many roller coasters that have loops as much as I could since then.
Same here. I first rode when I was six, This ride pretty much shaped me into an enthusiast
Same, this ride was the first ride I ever went on with inversions, I’m from the UK so a few months when we came back we went to Alton towers for my brothers birthday. I rode the smiler 3 times that day.
You’re welcome (; it’s Charlie on my RNRC channel btw)
I forgot to mention you found it lol
ProjectSunset it’s ok
My club at my school went to Disney world last year and rode this with the lights on for a class, and also space mountain, it was very cool.
The launch and the countdown by Steven Tyler it was the only thing that made me nervous but the rest I love it (in the dark of course)
I first went on this thing when I was 6 I think and it fuckin TRAUMATIZED ME. I didn’t go on any coasters or rides for like 3 years after that..
I would love to ride RRC with the lights on
It would be an interesting experience
@@Theme_parchive there is a coaster in the netherlands called Xpress platform 13 and it is the rock n rollercoaster in open air. its in a park called walibi holland (former six flags)
CEO OF SLEEPING yeah didn’t it open in 2000 as Superman?
I went on this when I was 7 years old having no clue what it was and it was the worst experience of my life 😭😂
All I need to know is: how many times do you go upside down? 😂 bc that’s the part I hate the most
Only three times. Twice at the beginning and once towards the end. The ride is mostly a bunch of big turns. And you barely feel any of the inversions. The forces keep you in your seat the whole time. So it really feels like nothing. It’s a great ride. But It is the most intense Disney ride. So if you’re not prepared for it I recommend riding a tamer ride like space mountain and working your way up to Rock N’. Hope this helps :) -ProjectSunset
Nadine this is my absolute favorite Disney ride (next to to tower of terror) and Disney really does a great job of making the ride really smooth you can barley even feel that you are going upside down. However, the launch at the beginning makes you loose your stomach, it feels like you are going down a huge drop. The closer you sit to the front, the faster it feels, and you get the feeling in your stomach more. So if don’t like that feeling, I would recommend sitting in the very back, you feel it way less. I sat in the very front and very back on the same day, and I can confidently say that the back is more tame. Which usually isn’t the case, but when it comes to launch coasters, the front definitely feels faster. :)
Dance Moms Divas as long as you face forward and keep your head back the launch is less Jarring. Since the forces are so strong it pushes you back into your seat. Which is part of the reason the rollover and corkscrew aren’t felt that much in terms of going upside down
Would love to ride this, but I'm 56 and I don't think my back could take the pressure.
Young kids, don't just dream about this ride, DO IT!! You might not get another chance.
Kellie Amison that first loop is a sea serpent roll over. It’s one inversion but it sends you upside down twice.
If been on it ....
I hated it. Soo much I felt sick waaaa the worst day ever at Disney was that ride I i know why it had to be at Hollywood studios BECAUSE IT WAS REAL
Never go on it EVER ITS TOOOO FAST and ours was dark not with lights on
I can't believe I actually rode this thing.
1:38 Reminds me of X2
I always wanted to ride rollercoaster but I get anxiety and horrible panic attacks [ I still remember vividly riding the roadrunner at six flags 😓 ] let's just say I was like a shaking chihuahua that had trouble breathing lmfaooo
Just say to yourself that if you don't ride it youre racist
@@bt2149 PFT- IM NOT TRYING TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK THO XDDD

@@bt2149 no - I'm just not trying to go to the hospital again thanks.
@@runawaystarfish5943 Sorry, I don't talk to racists
The ride is kinda wack... I don't know why they hold back like that...
You starting great and then nothing..
It stops because the train ahead has to clear the block section ahead to avoid collision.
BlueTunnel 2 I mean I'm talking about the ride itlself.. There's nothing impressive except the start and the loop
I agree. After the launch it’s meh
@@kevinraza8010 It's an indoor roller coaster and it's extremely compact. It's not supposed to be Kingda Ka
First of all, it’s Disney so they don’t want to make it too intense so families can still ride. Second, since it’s indoors, they can’t have it do too much because riders can’t prepare for what’s coming.
vim pela live do jon vlogss
i rode this for the first time a few days ago, but i was so scared that i closed my eyes the whole time. now i wish i had kept them open Lol
