    On top of working on my Armageddon coaster, I've also been starting a recreation of Rock n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith at the Disney Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, Florida. This is just a preview for that, featuring the track layout as well as the soundtrack (the compilation is copyright the Walt Disney Company, the individual songs are copyright Aerosmith, and the track layout is copyright Vekoma).
    Now keep in mind that if you have (or haven't) been on Rock n Roller Coaster, the actual ride is not this choppy. That's because this track is VERY difficult to recreate using RCT3 due to its very wide turns and gradual inclines and descents. I did my best given the RCT3 track template, so please don't argue that it's too choppy, not something i can control for a recreation like this.
    Anyway, hope you enjoy! =)

    @Pataricprsn98 I appreciate your concern for the accuracy of my video. Please keep in mind two things. First, this is the exact track layout. I know this for two reasons: 1. I've been on this ride more than you could imagine and 2. I've seen the ride with the lights on. Another thing to keep in mind is that a ride feels a lot faster in the dark. This recreation features the exact speed, duration, and track length. Trust me, this is as close as it gets on RCT3. I invite anybody to back me up.

    You're lucky.... that's one thing I have yet to see in person with the lights on.... I want to! lol

    Great job as usual. Now all you need is some signs, an indoor atmosphere, a red carpet style off ramp (with giftshop) and to tweak it a bit. Then it would be the perfect recreation of that awesome attraction.

  • @Hanrendar
    @Hanrendar 16 лет назад +7

    I work the attraction and have to say I am very impressed with how accurate this was. I was amused however that you put a holding block between load and unload - something that we desperately wished we had at RNR. We have 2 block zones in the ride and 2 in the return brake run, load, unload, and launch, which is how we can run 4-5 vehicles at a time. I made one based off standing in the building with the lights on and looking at the track in RCT2 before. Send me an e-mail addy and I'll fwd!

    trust me, the first time i went on it, i was sooooo nervous. it was my first launched coaster. then i went on it and when i came off i was like "WHOA THAT WAS AMAZING!" This is in my opinion the best roller coaster in disney world. The launch will take you by surprise because it's hard to explain the feeling no matter how often you watch it... it's a lot of fun though! And remember to smile for the camera! They take your picture during the launch (you'll see bright flashes lol)

    There are two Rock N Roller Coasters that have the same track layout. One is in Walt Disney Studios in Paris, France. The other is in Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

    @Pataricprsn98 wuhah, the track has 3 inversions, just like the real one. If you don't believe me, Xpress in Walibi World, Biddinghuizen, Holland is exactly the same, so look up that one.

    as i have previously mentioned. you set a block brake section to 60MPH. the train in front of it will not allow your train to continue (block brakes are safety measures that stop the train unless the train in front of it has passed the next block brake section). As you'll see, you don't launch until the train in front of you passes by the next block brake section (you see it coming towards you on the left passing over those block brakes, and once it passes, your block brake section lets you go)

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    Don't worry, these are perfectly valid questions! You don't have to make a corkscrew coaster, it works on others as well; however, I've found that this "launch strategy" does work the best with the corkscrew coaster. On others it usually doesn't launch to the correct speed except in testing mode.

  • @imagineer0988

    @melinedu92 Yes, they have the same track layout in both Orlando and France, but they have different scenery.

I hope to see your comment there soon!

    it wasn't me that switched, it's the audio file. what you're listening to is the source audio file that's played on the ride, and on the ride each train plays more than one song. that's why the song switch sounds so good lol

  • @kofulion
    @kofulion 16 лет назад +1

    wow I have never been on rock'n roller coaster when the light was on but the track is really really close to the actual track!! excellent job you done here

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад +1

    don't set up the block brake section throughout the entire launch platform. that's what you did wrong. ONLY set it up to the point where it BEGINS the launch itself. Set about 4 or 5 block brake pieces at 60MPH, those pieces ENDING at the beginning of the launch (where the train stops on my video before the launch is where i have the last block brake piece). Once you do that it should work fine

  • @imagineer0988

    As I've said many times, this is a preview of the ride and was NOT meant to be a completed recreation. For a completed recreation, please see "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster: Starring Aerosmith" on my profile page. Thank you!

  • @imagineer0988

    as many as you want. a station acts as a block brake section but more than one isn't necessary

  • @imagineer0988

    add a block brake section. the train will stop there until the train in front of it passes the next block brake section along the track (it's a safety measure used by coasters in case a train gets stuck or something, i just used it to make the train stop there)

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    that all depends on the length and speed of your coaster. you have to play around with it and figure it out. the fewer block brakes and the more trains you have on the track, the more times the trains will stop because they will get backed up. Also make sure that you check off "Block Brakes" under the settings of the coaster (right about lift chain speed)

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    no i actually got the sound from a friend. it's source audio. i did have to mix in a little bit of a live recording in the beginning while waiting to launch because the source audio file doesn't include any waiting time, it goes straight into the launch, so that's the only thing i actually mixed myself

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    1. Corkscrew
    2. Block brakes set at 60MPH
    3. Hold Shift and move the mouse up when placing the first track piece for the coaster

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    just set up the launch as a block brake system set to 60mph block brakes. the train won't move until the train in front of it has cleared the next block brake section (the braking tunnel on my coaster). so it'll stop until it gets the all clear, then "resumes" it's 60MPH speed

  • @imagineer0988

    It's the in-game cam that comes with RCT3. Just press CTRL+SHIFT+F11 when you want to start filming and the same when you want to stop filming. The only downside is that the game goes really slow because it just takes pictures frame by frame and then puts them into a movie file for you. The movie always comes out really smooth no matter how much your game lags while filming, but unfortunately it doesn't record any sound

  • @imagineer0988

    I've been on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster a LOT. I lived in Disney for a while and went to the parks almost everyday. I'm sure you know what you're talking about, but the loop at the beginning is not your typical "vertical loop". It's a "heartline roll". I promise if you look it up you will find it. If you prove me wrong from a reliable source, I will remove this video from RUclips.

    I'm not sure. Unfortunately, it's hard to describe how it works. Just play around with the block brakes and see what happens. Experimentation is the best way to learn sometimes. I learned everything I know through experimenting and trying to learn how to "bend the rules" on RCT3 =) and of course looking at what other people have done has helped tremendously as well!

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    nope, the track layout is exact. even check out pictures of the building, you'll see it's impossible to go the other way because from the launch tunnel it would hit the edge of the building. check out construction photos online

  • @5ONE41
    @5ONE41 16 лет назад

    I could've sworn the first element on RnR was a loop. And you may want to reconsider all those banked tracks, especially n the straights at the end when the speed is lower. The lateral G's just seem like they's be uncomfortable. Good work overall though. Better than I could do. :)

    Young Lust, F.I.N.E., and Love in an Elevator

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    Yes, you can put normal brakes..... you should put at least 4 consecutive block brakes set at 60MPH to ensure it hits the right speed (if the train is longer than about 6 cars, you should increase this number of block brakes according to the length)

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    it's custom scenery from "Rollercoasta" called "Launch Set" that can be found on the Atari forums online

    I can assure you that this is the track layout... the ride does NOT have a vertical loop. You can look up proof of this on rcdb (roller coaster database). It has a heartline roll and a corkscrew. I've been on the ride plenttty of times and have studied the ride profusely. So trust me =)

  • @RCT3guy101

    some one told me that one way is to put the breaks down to 0 so it could be paused right there then add the station to were it stops and edit the video to make it looked like its just stopping and moving again lol
    nice coaster by the way 5/5 :)

    if you don't know what a "block brake" is then it's too hard to describe. I'd recommend looking it up in the RCT3 handbook and searching online for it. Block brakes are used by real roller coasters, so look up online what purpose they serve and how to use them on RCT3

  • @imagineer0988

    you should check out my "Rock n Roller Coaster - Full Experience" video (it should be the first under "Related Videos" to the right or you can just get it from my profile). It'll take you through a realistic version of the queue, preshow, ride, etc

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  15 лет назад

    I'm assuming you're referring to the lack of scenery, in which case your comment is both correct and incorrect. You are correct because this lacks scenery, where as the actual read is filled with scenery. You're incorrect, however, in assuming that this is a finished ride. If you look at the title, it clearly states the word "Preview", which indicates an incomplete attraction. If you go to my profile page, you can see the completed attraction ("Rock 'n' Roller Coaster: Starring Aerosmith"). Ty!

  • @imagineer0988

    it doesn't launch the train for you..... it just acts as a piece of scenery for show. you have to make the train launch itself when u create the track by establishing a block brake section with a high speed (such as 60MPH, etc)

  • @imagineer0988
    @imagineer0988  16 лет назад

    like any other scenery that you might not recognize, it's custom scenery. to get it go to the Atari Forums
