Stevie will always be the GOAT, and such a sweetheart. He always gave 100%. This whole live show tore up like this song. Thanks for sharing him with the world❤️ Donna
I cant stop coming back to this performance for another dose of Texas blues and for your reaction, even sick you were taking blows right and left from Stevies axe of a million riffs-! You sir are a trooper, nothing like seeing the youth of today laid back on their heels when they find some of Stevies most memorable performances, theres nothing like it today - im 60 and grew up in the mid sixties to early 80's when we had MUSIC-! No back track slack hack bass boosted crap, back then you had to PLAY and if it wasnt good it just didnt make it. That was the days of the legends and Stevie was one of the later and last ones, they played hard and left early & that, was a cryin shame.
As others have commented before me, you will definitely want to see him do Voodoo Chile live. SRV never played anything the same way twice, so everyone of these live performances are different: from the same show at El Mocambo; Austin City Limits 1983 or 1989; Nashville; Tokyo.
There's NO ONE BETTER !! THERE WILL NEVER BE NO ONE BETTER THEN STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN BECAUSE STEVIE PLAYED WITH HIS HEART AND SOUL!! THE GUITAR WAS A PART OF STEVIE!!!
I saw him live twice, words failed me the first time - the second time it was almost my heart--lol Hes just phenomenal, you need to check out "voodoo child" one night in austin texas
I am 68 and have experienced so much GREAT music in my life. But (worshipped Jimi) it’s simple - SRV is the GOAT. Love the stories. They said Stevie Ray went to the crossroads - they didn’t know what HE got, but the devil got guitar lessons! Eric Clapton said Stevie was
First of all: HOPE you are feeling better! This is my go to SRV to clear my head and the purpose of blues: express extreme emotions through music. He is letting that guitar have it😎
SRV is my favorite. Duane Allman was great and only 25 when he died, check out The Allman Brothers doing Whipping Post or Don't Want You No More/Not My Cross To Bear. They also feature Dickey Betts, another great guitarist.
Big thumbs up, brother...It's amazing to me how few "reactors" on RUclips ever comment on his vocal ability. Granted, it is easy to get lost in the guitar mastery that was SRV, but IMHO very few vocalists are as impressive or as convincing...
For Blues guitarists, BB King, Albert King, Johnny Copeland. Check out SRV and Copeland doing Tin Pan Alley live. But for just a great guitarist that you may not have heard of, check out Turmoil and Tinfoil by Billy Strings.
Stevie is the one of the GOATS for sure. Another is Johnny Winter. Also from Texas. In fact Stevie’s bassist was Tommy Shannon. Who also played bass for JOHNNY WINTER! Check him out! Here he is at Woodstock! Absolutely crushing it... m.ruclips.net/video/kJSEZeNrKNM/видео.html
Bruh, did you have Covid during this? Hope you are feeling better. Also, I subscribe to the theory that Jimi is the GOAT but the reaction universe suffers from not having as man live videos that really demonstrate that. Watch the Machine Gun vid from Band of Gypsies though. Also dont forget about my personal most underrated guitarist Jeff Healey. He is amazing.
Voodoo Clild, Superstition Crossfire the night he was killed in the helicopter he was playing before Eric Clapton. He died in 1990 he was 35. Eddie Van Halen
If you watch Stevie play the same song in different live shows, it will amaze you. The base or core of the song is the same. But the extra free style stuff is made up in the spot.
Check out johnny Winter , Highway 61 revisited, John Mayall and Walter Trout, The Last Time, Alvin Lee and Ten Years After from Woodstock, I'm going Home....
You will want to check out monster guitar shredder Zakk Wylde's version of Mississippi Queen, on acoustic. The title on RUclips is 'Zakk Wylde - Mississippi Queen Yeaahh (The legendary Les Paul is playing rhythm guitar in the background)
Voodoo child is another one that will blow ur mind. SRV =the GOAT of guitar slayers! None. Btr. None! 13gauge strings and still brakes them. Tunes as he s playing...as if anybody could tell it needed tuned...just srv knew it!mustve bn born with that guitar attached to his body! Ps hope ur feelin btr by now-8/18/20? Crank up ur volume if ya can?srv was meant to be heard ...LOUD!
I suggest you listen to the GOAT acoustic guitar player, Tommy Emmanuel, "Classical Gas". After this his guitar needed a cigarette! LOL Let me know what you think. Be well, Duke
10:20-10:30 consider your horizons widened... any other guitarists like this- no. Alex Lifeson, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Tommy Emanuel, Eric Clapton, more and more... There will never be another SRV.
Oops. Let me finish. Eric said Stevie was a conduit that the music flowed through, and that seeing him made people want to pick up the guitar and players want to put it down. RIP SRV.
Oh the irony! NOT that yet another millennial has discovered the GOAT...but that he can look like Donny Osmond doing so. LMAO! Im new here, sooooo the obvious question now is....Do you know RUSH?
Hip-hopers, rappers and crappy pop singers. Go back home, lock the doors. Don't come back until you can play 5 notes and sing "Mary has a little lamb". With no Autotune fake singing, neither studio fake tricks and tracks. What you hear is major league in music. You're still in primary school.
There is no one better EVER OR SINCE
Great reaction. Highly recommended watching Stevie perform Voodoo Child live in Nashville.
Yes! An absolute must-see!
Great version!
Stevie will always be the GOAT, and such a sweetheart. He always gave 100%. This whole live show tore up like this song. Thanks for sharing him with the world❤️ Donna

there is no other .
Always do SRV live, any song from this show, El Mocambo is awesome
Curtis Gunnarson absolutely! The best concert in RUclips is that one. Hands down. Every single song is just fucking electric!!!
@@joebauers8031 I'd have to agree, although depending on my mood bob marley live at the roxy is as good which is saying something
SRV is good medicine for whatever ales you.
SRV. The baddest cat in the jungle.
I have heard Stevie described as "the GOAT" - and I'm so old I had to look that up :) -- "Greatest Of All Time" -- duh!
🎸🐐
1. Life Without You live at Capitol Theater
2. Leave My Girl Alone at Austin City Limits
3. Tightrope at Austin City Limits
EXCELLENT songs-lots of emotion!
I saw SRV on sixth street in 1987. I am now 51 years old. IT COST ME FIVE DOLLARS. I hope the next generation appreciates him like I do
People may not know 6th street in Austin. Lol 😂
SRV “Voodoo Chile” Live one night in Texas!
“Little Wing” Live at El Mocambo!
This is the GOAT, any genre, and this is the greatest use of a guitar I have heard in my 58 years.
As others have commented before me, you will definitely want to see him do Voodoo Chile live. SRV never played anything the same way twice, so everyone of these live performances are different: from the same show at El Mocambo; Austin City Limits 1983 or 1989; Nashville; Tokyo.
My favorite is Austin City Limits1989 but all are amazing nonetheless.
"Change It" Live at the Capitol Theater 9/21/1985. He is at the top of his powers during that show.
Everything he touched was a masterpiece goat
react to SRV vodoo chile in Nashville. Awesome
"Stop Stevie Stop"! Lol you kill me!😂 There is no other above SRV..💞💞💞
So you're like, Yeah he's killing it and Then ... The Magic Spin ...
There's NO ONE BETTER !! THERE WILL NEVER BE NO ONE BETTER THEN STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN BECAUSE STEVIE PLAYED WITH HIS HEART AND SOUL!! THE GUITAR WAS A PART OF STEVIE!!!

Those damn 13 gauge strings are harder than hell to play, but that sound is second to none.
SRV is blues and this was one of the best performances of his life.
The maestro at work!
@9:37 😆I love THIS moment most of all...when watching people react to this video.
He was a god.
He’s the only guitarist who could cover Hendrix better than Hendrix himself.
Big thumbs up, brother...It's amazing to me how few "reactors" on RUclips ever comment on his vocal ability. Granted, it is easy to get lost in the guitar mastery that was SRV, but IMHO very few vocalists are as impressive or as convincing...
Guitar swag.
You have witnessed The Greatest Guitar Player of all time! SRV! Eddie Van Halen "Eruption" do that one next.
And that, is how ya do that. RIP SRV
Supernatural Stevie
Amazing
His albums are fantastic to be sure but his genius was playing live which I was lucky enough to experience TWICE!
Life Without You (at Capitol Theater) if u haven't done it already. Fire!! Enjoyed reaction...thx!
"His own style" is playing behind his back is 99.9% better than any other player.
For Blues guitarists, BB King, Albert King, Johnny Copeland. Check out SRV and Copeland doing Tin Pan Alley live. But for just a great guitarist that you may not have heard of, check out Turmoil and Tinfoil by Billy Strings.
Lucretia Dewberry BILLY STRINGS!!!! That’s a bad m’er f’er right there! Saw him live in Dallas one of the best shows I’ve ever seen!
Dust In A Baggie and Turmoil And Tinfoil are both outstanding!
My new favorite is Meet me at the creek. It's none minutes of joy.
Here’s my list of guitarists that I think are on Stevie’s level that you really need to check out...1)
Stevie is the one of the GOATS for sure. Another is Johnny Winter. Also from Texas. In fact Stevie’s bassist was Tommy Shannon. Who also played bass for JOHNNY WINTER! Check him out! Here he is at Woodstock!
Absolutely crushing it...

"Lenny" by SRV
Another guitar as you might want to check out is Joe Bonamassa
Check out johnny Winter , Highway 61 revisited, John Mayall and Walter Trout, The Last Time, Alvin Lee and Ten Years After from Woodstock, I'm going Home....
You will want to check out monster guitar shredder Zakk Wylde's version of Mississippi Queen, on acoustic. The title on RUclips is 'Zakk Wylde - Mississippi Queen Yeaahh (The legendary Les Paul is playing rhythm guitar in the background)

SRV is very much missed, he was such a intensed guitarist. My top two favorite is Jimmy Page and SRV.
Tightrope is a fantastic song by him live in Austin..be the first to react!
Voodoo child is another one that will blow ur mind. SRV =the GOAT of guitar slayers! None. Btr. None! 13gauge strings and still brakes them. FYI that was BLUES-!
Kevin McHale reincarnated. Especially the Munster eyeshadow effect.
I didn't mean to offend. I appreciate your taste in music and your insight when you react.
Did you have Covid-19? You published this March 12th and described a lot of the symptoms. I hope you're okay man.
At that point in time I would not doubt it lol but no everythings fine!
Check out Steve vai . Tender surrender.
Voodoo Chile live one night in Texas
I suggest you listen to the GOAT acoustic guitar player, Tommy Emmanuel, "Classical Gas". After this his guitar needed a cigarette! LOL Let me know what you think. Be well, Duke
check out THE ROBERT CRAY BAND
Love him😎

This isn't a song you want to listen to when you have a headache. Haha
Oops. Let me finish. Eric said Stevie was a conduit that the music flowed through, and that seeing him made people want to pick up the guitar and players want to put it down.
RIP SRV.
Go on RUclips and listen to prove it all night by Bruce Springsteen but it has to be live it's a great guitar solo
Yo Im going to learn to play this. This was next level!!
Look at Eddie Van Halen
Too bad it was cut short, only if
Oh the irony! NOT that yet another millennial has discovered the GOAT...but that he can look like Donny Osmond doing so. LMAO!
Im new here, sooooo the obvious question now is....Do you know RUSH?
When he did this gig, for all his virtuosity, he was so broke he could barely feed himself. Think on that.
Playing behind his back isn’t too tough, especially for him...your hands are in the same position...SRV is the best there ever was or will be
