      Tell 'em you're a Turkey. 🦃 They still have a Jurassic Park style raptor claw on each leg. Only pack of birds I've ever pulled a gun on while alone in the wild (did not fire). Just move away calmly, don't antagonize them, nothing gets hurt. Glad they don't eat people. Not going to be the one to tell them that we kinda eat them as a holiday special.

      Chickens actually hold the distinction of being one of the few birds species known to kill a human. Because (trigger warning for animal cruelty) a chicken in an illegal cockfight, with.a razor strapped to its leg, once stabbed one of its human handlers and he bled to death. True story.

    • @EskChan19
      @EskChan19 2 года назад +1

      That's true. We can tell that by the bones of the dinosaurs. Todays dinosaurs (birds) have indentures in their wings where the feathers hook into. Dinosaurs with feathers (though it's likely it wasn't real feathers but some kind of quill-like proto-feather) had these indentures too. The T-Rex did not, so it either didn't have feathers at all, or had them early on and lost them later as some animals today still do.

    There is the idea that the T-Rex's tiny arms are supposed to be attached backward, because they're wings. They had feathers too. Mindblowing idea.

    • @EskChan19
      @EskChan19 2 года назад +1

      SOME dinosaurs had feathers, or at least a predecessor to feathers that were most likely more like the quills on a hedgehog than an actual feather. But the T-Rex was not one of them. It might have had them when it was very young, but an adult T-Rex did most likely not have feathers, because the bones of feathered dinosaurs had the same indentures that modern birds have, where the feathers hooked into the bone. The T-Rex did not have these. It was a hypothesis that T-Rexes might have had feathers when dinosaurs having feathers first was discovered. But the T-Rex itself did not have them, that has been debunked since.
      Also no, there's not the idea that the T-Rex's arms were attached backwards for wings. There's never been a hypothesis like that. That would make no sense. We know how the skeleton of a T-Rex looked like. and arms only fit a certain way into the shoulders. Most likely, the arms of a T-Rex were either vestigial from whatever it evolved from, or used for balancing while running.

  •  2 года назад

    its all still about a balance, not every dinosaur is scaly just like not every dinosaur is also super ultra feathery or had gizzards and flaps. To this day trex body impressions still don't show much feathers so honestly a featherless Trex isn't completely wrong in that regard. Its just up to us to depict them in popular media which ultimately influences simpletons to go with the easiest narrative.
