- Cindy Medford sent this video to us of the crashing waves and wind (sound up!) in Galveston the morning of Aug. 26, 2020. Hurricane Laura would have been about 235 miles southeast at the time of this video.
it looks very nasty already..watching from South Carolina, my Cousins in Houston are heading to Carolina as I type
Hope they make it through safely. NHC has already said that the water is rising and will rise even more tonight.
SC native here
Glad to hear some people are using their God given intelligence to gtho of there.
Good for them!
I hope they make it safely to South Carolina.
@@luisdibarrasanchez1704 it took her about 11 hours, they got here !
Praying for all …
Here in Central Texas we're preparing to help and support for as many as we can. Please be safe for all down there.

I know the majority of evacuees are in poverty like I am. So paycheck to paycheck. Fewer options to get the hell out. May you have family or friends can help you...
Your in poverty but have internet access......thats some high class poverty compared to others.
EVERYONE STAY SAFE!!!
Sending prayers to everyone in the path of this deadly. Please stay safe.
Please leave the area. This is nothing to play around with.
I'm from Dominican Republic, and here Laura cross like a storm, felt the same.
Glory of Love never fails. It always perseveres, always hopes, always trusts, and always protects. Thank you very much for sharing. Glory and Dominion Be to the Lord of Hosts Most High Almighty Father Yah God Bless All...
A Hurricane can have many thousand eyes! I was once in the eye of Alicia '83 Houston & as the brighter. quiet eye of the storm passed directly over me, I noticed thousands of sea gulls in the midst of the eye!
Storm, serious
Those waves, cute.
Photography, nice
Beautiful but scary, South Texas is praying for you all.
So is south Florida. We were worried too when it looked like it was coming our way. Please leave. DON'T RIDE IT OUT
Praying?
Praying is for the people who are stuck there that didn't have the nuts to get out of there. I'll pray later for the ones that are washed away in their cars, stuck up on the rooftops, and wondering where their loved ones are.
Right now, I would rather tell them to get the fudge out of there, now.
THIS one looks like a Katrina repeat. It's big, and going to continue inland, imho.
I'm currently in the hurricane
Kansas praying 👍👍👍
are you praying to the same dude who's making it happen? Sounds like a waste of time 🤭
praying for you all
Galveston is lucky to be on the south side of this monster. They might even survive it.
No no... no. Appears, yes...but it’s exact track is not known
What?
That's a big f hurricane. Galveston is right there within it.
Time to pack up your stuff and your pets an get out of the area as it has pretty much already has made landfall.
Sadly, I am expecting lots of sad news on Friday about the people who "rode it out".
@Isaiah Or poor. Funny how Americans always forget about the poor. Except of course, among the growing legions of them....
@Isaiah Not a religious person, but these people are actually testing the "Galactic Outer Dimensions" rather than using the intelligence that it gave them.
Man.....if I see that thing coming like a spinning run away train, I am out of there and good night!!
@@danthemansmail Poor has NOTHING to do with getting the hell out of there.
Poorest of the poor, who are living in tents even know to get the hell out by foot as far away a they can. The only people who are poorer than that are the people who have no idea that the hurricane is coming.
Interesting story about the Granite seen there, I dived the former quarry in Huntsville where the granite was quarried. It's a beautiful dive park now and its were I did my training dives to get my open water diver certification. Hope all my fellow East Texans are doing ok after Laura.
GL to you all, I find it amazing you have weather like this so often, but just across the pond we hardly ever see anything as bad. you guys are so unlucky with that.
She literally hit landfall!💯💯 Stay Safe and Dry!💯💯
Bro i was literally watching the live beach cam an hour ago and saw someone recording on the pier. You posted this an hour ago, was that you? Lmao
Prayers for y'all from NC!! I understand completely the fear and unknown of these monsters....
You guys stay safe out there in Louisiana and Texas!
Stay safe!!! Prayers for all of you 💓
from category 4 to category 1in 60 seconds! while the media of course over-hyped Laura 1000x, figures!
God be with you people, praying for yall.
Praying for all of you all across the coast lines 💕
GOD Bless all of you down there.
Watching from Coastal NC, my heart goes out to all of you. Please be safe y'all.

God Is Great
She looks like a beast!! Prayers for all in the path of this monster. 🙏🏾 I know how many are probably anxious right now but don't try to be a superhero!
Get the f🤬ck out NOW!!
What are the odds that the building in this video is still standing tomorrow at this time?
Jon Min Meh I’m sure it’ll be fine
It's going to be destroyed completely probably
Buildings down here are built for this. If it’s built to code it’ll be fine.
Very low
@@713Don3rdCoast you're wrong. No structure can withhold 160-190 mile per hour wind gusts. Think again. The storm will be a category 5 by the time it hits land.
i am wondering why is there still so many people wondering by the beach right now ??? its really dangerous
I don't think this is going to be there after the storm. I would head West as soon as possible ASAP
I honestly don’t think it’s gonna be bad in Houston the weather keeps on changing it say it gonna rain at 2 n it didn’t even rain it got sunny it hasn’t even rained once n it said for the past day it was
Looks like a normal day on the Pacific Ocean
This hurricane ain’t gonna do shit it ain’t gonna hit :(

But, by now the writings on the wall. Move inland, duh, relocate. Maybe use your house if you have one for a vaca b and b? It's only going get worse.
