You literally described what I wish my parents would understand when I was younger. If they could understand this then maybe today we would be closer and I wouldn’t feel the need to be different with them so we can have a simple conversation. It’s the reason whenever I talk with them I feel exhausted. Thank you so much for doing this amazing job!

I'm very glad to see someone doing work like this. I am now in my thirties and what you described as the intj eagle child was almost like looking in the mirror. I reflect back now and all those particular instances and eccentricities bubble up to the surface all over again especially with the vocabulary and things of that nature. I often had a hard time coming up because my parents did not understand me and neither did my peers. So I personally would like to thank you again for pioneering this work. I am now observing my son to see what personality type are you possibly is and I think that will benefit not only myself but him as well. I think more parents will greatly benefit from the same as well. Thank you again

So sorry I am just now responding! Thanks for your thoughtful response! I wear the team shirt for the types that are not made in the mold of our societal norms. Your type is so necessary to bring vision and a unique way of seeing the world. Did you ever take my Inner Child Assessment for your child? You could also buy my book at:www.wendygossett.com/product/your-childs-inner-drive-parenting-by-personality-for-toddlers-to-teens/. I am thinking of doing a virtual book club while we are all quarantined. Let me know if you are interested.

@@wendygossett5319 No need for apologies. I do not own your time, you do. As far as I could see you have been quite busy and I understand. I think if it wasn't for the quarantine you'd still be out and about. However, as for the book club, I think that is a good idea. As for the temperament test on myself, I don't think that is going to be necessary. I do appreciate your offer.
On another note, I could not stop laughing at you dancing in traffic and your son's expression was priceless.
Until we meet again, stay safe and stay healthy.

I am an INTJ female with a lot of childhood wounds. My mother once got so frustrated with me she once told me she would probably be happier if I was dead. Lol she couldn't control me no matter how much torture and abuse she put me through.

Someone close to me has your type and she is struggling! She is confused in her sexual identity and doesn't feel accepted by her parents. I am sorry to hear about what you went through. INTJ's have to be true to themselves. How are you now? What is your occupation if you don't mind me asking?

@@Himeko-wv7fu That hits a little close to home for me, especially that last sentence of your original post. I can tell you this, that Will you have, is your greatest asset. Never let anybody soil your vision, Never Let It Die. It is that sheer willpower, that intjs have that is their Saving Grace. I know it is what got me through during the dark times. So keep your head up and always move forward.

You’re describing my son! Empathy with others is our struggle right now. So glad to hear it’s part of his personality. Can you do a video on how to address this issue? He can understand others’ feelings, it’s just not the first thing he thinks of...

I teach parents to become students of temperament so that they can teach their kids to use it as a strategy for understanding people just like they would understand a game of chess. INTJs LOVE understanding WHY people do what they do. Since he can't get it from an empathy standpoint, he can get it from science. I do virtual appointments. If you go to WendyGossett.com you can check out my basic package. You get all the materials you need to teach your son what he needs to learn about "winning with people". I also have a book coming out very soon! I am posting a video today!

Wait, does she think I am a child? Do you know we aren’t children? Why are you speaking to me as if I am a child?
