A week before Queen Elizabeth's death , My beloved dog of 13 yrs passed away and my emotions were intense and I was experiencing the same emotional heartache of losing a most beloved member of my family , I was experiencing the same emotions that the royal family and the UK ( those that loved the queen. I know not everyone in the uk does ) which made the queens death even more emotional for me . I was in england during july/August and everywhere i visited still had decorations from the Jubilee celebrations and when i visited Lincolnshire, we went into a little cafe for a coffee ( one of the best coffees I've ever had ) the cafe was rather small yet cozy and the staff were all dressed in 1940's attire, the radio was also playing music from that era ( i felt like I went back in time ) and there were many wwii trinkets to look at books to read and photos to look at , they also had a lifesized cut out of Queen Elizabeth ii and I asked one of the woman if I could take a picture with the queen and she said yes so i have a photo of me with the queen. My friends thought it was a real photo ( thats how real it looked ) . I guess my point I'm trying to make is that we were all blessed to have been given so many years with those we love , we watch them grow from infants to adults and we experience together the ups and downs of life , they are with us when history is being made , through sickness and health they have been there for us we for them , but time doesn't wait for any of us , it slips us by unnoticed until it slaps us in the face with a reality check. And that reality is we should never take for granted the time we have with our families, pets , and friends , time is valuable and we can't get it back , once its gone it's gone forever. And we lose a piece of us when someone we love passes away there is a void in a hearts and only time can help heal that void . This is why it's so important that we spend as much time as we can with our loved ones and let them know how much we love them while they are with us on this journey in life .
I appreciate your sentiments. We do indeed need to value each day with our loved ones. I’m sorry you lost your pet and am sure it was painful, as indeed with was when I lost my own dogs. But I would humbly request that these should not be compared to the loss of a remarkable person, not least our wonderful monarch. I lost my husband very suddenly when he dropped dead in front of me - no warning, here one minute, gone the next. You can well imagine the shock. The one comment that distressed me greatly, was from someone who said ‘ I know how you feel because I felt the same when I lost my cat’. Really? Her cat was the same level as the loss of a beloved husband of over 30 years, the father of my children? I found it totally insulting. Of course I didn’t say anything. It was obvious that the loss of her cat was devastating to her and she was missing it - as I missed my dogs - but what an insensitive comment to make to a new widow. How could her cat be in the same league by any means with the loss of the love of my life? I found it to be so so insulting. Our Queen was indeed remarkable. I saw her many times in life, and queued for hours to see her lying in state in Westminster hall, and was humbled by it. I think it’s great that you value her memory so much. Thank you for that. However I would humbly plead for folks to NEVER start condolences and sympathy by comparing the loss of a human being to that of an animal, even if in truth they love their pet more than anyone else in their life. It can be devastating.
In times like these, it's common for people to reflect on her legacy and the impact she had on the monarchy, the UK, and the world. It's also an opportunity to express condolences and support for her family and loved ones.
What an elegant interviewer! Empathic facial expressions, articulate, engaged, actually listening to her answers, and professional. A good pace. Very handsome too.
That was very kind of Ms. Truss to share her memories of that time, and in such a respectful way. I can't imagine how difficult that time must have been for her. Of course it was more difficult for the royal Family, but she had a big job to do and she did it with dignity. It's too bad she never really got a chance to lead beyond that.
Truss did get the chance to be PM and she's gone down in history as the worst one ever. Not to GN News though. To GB News she's a wonderful politician and human being.
I was lucky enough to see her majesty in Alberta Canada a country that she absolutely loved. The hospital in my home city is named after her. As time went on I got more fond of her. I was so deeply touched at those people who waited for hours just to pay their respects and to tip their hat and nod as a thank you. When somebody can impact every corner of the globe you know it's a life well lived.
That morning she had meetings with ministerial colleages and others. In addition to her duties in the house, she had further meetings later that day including an audience of her majesty the queen who died immediately after, as well as blowing up the economy.
Our queen was a very brave lady. She said when she was but a girl. I will devote my life to your service whether it be long or short. And she did so until her death bed. God bless our wonderful queen elizabeth RIP your majesty 🌹
A very good interview and kudos to the young man doing the interview. He’s very respectful, articulate and asks good questions. Our American journalist could sure take some notes.
We all have our opinions about Liz Truss but I will give her her due for that period because she had been PM for days and then all this happened. It really was a momentous time, I doubt many former or future PM’s would have found that easy.
This wonderful Person died just simply of old Age…the Heart is a muscle and it just simply gets tired and worn out…I don’t recall a grave illness, non of us is made for Eternity to live on this Earth…she was able to see her last celebration, her Paddington Sketch will live on forever, she was blessed with an alert Mind till the End and that’s an incredible blessing…now she is just simply reunited with her loved ones..❤

This interview is cringey and hard to watch😕 he was trying so hard to get all the drama and the juicy bits but Liz was playing hard to get and wouldn’t blame her cause some of the questions were kinda like duhhhh wasn’t it obvious kinda things. He didn’t know which direction he wanted to go, if it was a formal interview or a gossipy candid real life conversation. If it was the latter he should’ve just told her straight ‘you know if you wouldn’t mind sharing with us your personal experience, i was crying and confused when the queen died. What about you??
This is a remarkable interview that Liz Truss gave. She may not have been Prime Minister for long but she will always be remembered as the last one during Her Majesty's reign.
Thank you, Liz Truss, for sharing your very special meetings with the Her Majesty the Queen, for her mental state and duty. Your moment in history will always be remembered as the lucky PM who was last to meet her, and upon whose shoulder's the spectacularly complicated goodbye would be executed. Thank you Cameron for this interview. You have really developed your reporting style. This interview was clear and concise. It was great to hear from LIz Truss and her "in the trenches" blow by blow of the last few days of the Beloved Queen.
The doctors must have asked her to take it easy, but HM never took it easy, never had a day off work. Disciplined, headstrong and duty bound till the end. As it was with her predecessor, Elizabeth I.
She was a beautiful soul she served us well a glorious Queen. But I could see her days was coming to a close. She was frail, it was her time we all have a time no one is getting out of this place alive ❤️
Now I see why TRUSS only lasted a few weeks as PM! How she got the job at all is a mystery.. and it’s a shame she was the last person to be photographed with OUR QUEEN.. because she definitely doesn’t appreciate the enormity and significance it was because she’s not very bright.. and she’s boring..
The most important meeting she had was the last conversation with her daughter Princesse Anne and her son Charles the future King at the time. Always one step ahead of everyone else. God bless the Crown.
This interview is awful! It's more like an interrogation and I hate that he kept saying about the Queen 'dying'. Yes she was dying but there were more sensitive ways of putting it like 'failing health', 'declining health' etc. GB News please ditch this interviewer!
I think the British people had a blind spot when it came to Queen Elizabeth. They believed she was somehow immortal. Not really, but they seemed to be surprised when she died. Even Liz Truss said she saw no indication that Her Majesty was "gravely ill". Really?? Sorry, but when I saw that photo, and the giant bruise on her hand, I actually posted, I am so sorry, I think this is the last time we will see the Queen. I get it I guess, but if she had been anyone other than The Queen, it would have been obvious that she only had a day or two left. She barely even looked like the same woman who was on the Balcony at the Jubilee! I do miss her, I prefer her greatly to the WOKE Charles, who needs to knock it off with the GREEN crap! The Monarchy is NOT supposed to get political. Queen Elizabeth knew that. Will Charles and William even learn??
The Queen was very proud of the commonwealth and she died thinking that her wayward grandson and that manipulative bitch he’s married to tried to destroy it on the grounds of racism. She didn’t see that karma reigns on those two idiots .
People knew she had only months if not weeks to live. that they just do not say these things does not mean they do not know. Of course her hand was noted by people esp health professionals.. As our cousins across the pond we were happy to share her with you 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
@@JdksejejxnxndndI don't know where are you from and if you know something of history...Do you know that we were part of UK??? We had a war and got our independence from them!!!
As an American, I so agree.
I feel sorry for Ms Truss that she was in her role as pm in such short matter of time when everything happened but I think she acted with grace and dignity in that moment...R.I.P YMQ E.II what a Icon massive respect for all the hard work she achived during 7 decades as Monarch🙏🙏❤❤
Don't care

What a beautiful post. So true. Thank you. ❤
Liz Truss, wasn't given the chance to do the job of prime minister, she was voted out far too early.
What do you mean voted out? She quit.
She gave up 😂😂
She was a crap PM
She wasn’t voted out, nothing so democratic. She was frogmarched out. Totally disgraceful. The Blob didn’t want her and forced her out.
She carried out her duties to the end. Great lady
Like she promised
What a wonderful interview!
It’s a shame Liz Truss didn’t get the chance to be Prime Minister.
Truss did get the chance to be PM and she's gone down in history as the worst one ever. Not to GN News though. To GB News she's a wonderful politician and human being.
She did and she f'd it up big time.
Please guys, don't tell her that Winston is not doing well these days.

Liz Truss ... the last real PM of the UK
Occupied Britain.
😂😂😂She was the worst of all time. Mind you, Sunak is another one who has to go!
And you’ve ended up with the worst ever in Keir Starmer.England is on its knees and not likely to stand up anytime soon.
Thank you this was a great interview!🎈🇺🇸🎈
What an honour for Liz Truss to be part of history in that last public picture with her Majesty.
An undeserved honour. To think the late Queen went from Winston Churchill as her first PM to the hapless Liz Truss as her last beggars belief.
That was her only claim to fame. Meeting the the Queen. As PM? Not so much 🥴
She’s a republican

A very good interview and kudos to the young man doing the interview. He’s very respectful, articulate and asks good questions. Our American journalist could sure take some notes.
This is a troll right? This is a bad interview
Interesting that Ms Truss speaks of our lovely late majesty with infinitely more respect and care than her crappy little ginger grandson.
God bless the Queen, a truly remarkable woman to the very end, may she rest in peace.
The Queen was the Greatest Monarch in British History, Rest in Peace for all time
Her Majesty kept her promise. She did her duty with courage and resilience right up to the end. We will not see her like again in our lifetimes...
I do not think any of this needs to be discussed
We all have our opinions about Liz Truss but I will give her her due for that period because she had been PM for days and then all this happened. It really was a momentous time, I doubt many former or future PM’s would have found that easy.
The late Queen did her duty until the end

It seems Her Majesty’s legacy is keep your commitments. Public service is a noble calling because of Her Majesty’s example.

The young man does the typical squeezed vowels of his generation .
Yes it's a generational thing. I don't like it. 🙄 Mrs. O FROM ENGLAND 🇬🇧

Queen: No, I'm not having tea once a week with that, not doing it, no way, I'm out. Charles can deal with her, he's had his eye on the throne for years, only reason I stayed alive this long was to annoy him by keeping him off it. Now, where's my gin.
Her son as dutiful as he is will never outshine his mother.
Charles is just a place holder for a few years.
Why would there be any need to outshine ? He will bring his own chapter into play.
It was a perfect farewell. Thank you.
Is it just me that thinks this interviewer is a ghoul? A wonderful woman who happens to be your Queen has just passed. How does he think she felt and reacted. Working through your tears.
A very sad moving and a very strange time in history, Not just a loss for the United Kingdom but also where she was also head of state as monarch, in the three Crown Dependencies, the fourteen British Overseas Territories then across the Commonwealth. R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II.
This was very well done. Also, I believe that Mrs. Truss handled a difficult situation with great poise and grace.... As did HM The king.
The late QE2 dedicated her service till the very last hour. Lord, we recognise this. She has run the race, finished her course & there awaits her is a crown of LIFE. RIP dearest friend.
Service, the late Queen was the embodiment of Universal Service. That's why a Medieval Bow displayed by TigMaggot was so disrespectful to Queen Elizabeth 2. 😢😢😢

We should be asking, why is this being discussed now? When we have more (perhaps connected) issues causing chaos in the uk.
There are other channels doing exactly what you’re interested in. Why aren’t you there, instead of wasting our time with your silly comment here? Are you unable to read this RUclips’s heading? Is literacy a problem with you?
It's the anniversary of the Queens death( the first one being the most poignant) and the accession of the King and they've got an interview with the Woman who was PM at the time that's pretty big stuff that will interest a great many people still plenty of other stuff being covered as well.
Thank you Cameron for this interview. You have really developed your reporting style. This interview was clear and concise. It was great to hear from LIz Truss and her "in the trenches" blow by blow of the last few days of the Beloved Queen.
May the Queen Rest In Peace and good thing she did not know how Liz Truss brought UK down to knees within the 44 days of her premiership.
Excellent interview. Very prepared and precise questions.❤
The doctors must have asked her to take it easy, but HM never took it easy, never had a day off work.
Disciplined, headstrong and duty bound till the end.
As it was with her predecessor, Elizabeth I.
Fitting tribute for an iconic queen.

I’m not sure
She was a beautiful soul she served us well a glorious Queen. But I could see her days was coming to a close. She was frail, it was her time we all have a time no one is getting out of this place alive ❤️
I think the Tories made a mistake ditching Liz Truss.
What a well done interview! Thank you from an American who loves the monarchy and loved and admired Queen Elizabeth.
I’m glad Liz did an interview with GBNews!
I don't really see the point of this interview
cheap PR and glory hunting
She doesn't seem to remember most of it or what she did bit like the rest of the time she was in office.

Every body has views.
Caring about the environment and our future isn't partisan, it's decency
People knew she had only months if not weeks to live. that they just do not say these things does not mean they do not know. Of course her hand was noted by people esp health professionals.. It is rude to labour the point about these things while she was alive, she was a Queen. Probably the greatest women in our life time. Delia Morris
Charle has planted 20 000 trees in his life time. They take a long time to fully grow .We are breathing the oxygen from them. Its a shame your council can't plant a few trees in the parks where you live.
