She knew her popularity was at an all time low. It showed when she died. There weren't 1/4 of the amount of flowers for her that there was for Diana. Diana cared about the people & was a good person. Her charities showed that. The queen didn't do anything for anyone if there wasn't something in it for her. The only time I saw any expression of love on her face was when she talked to her dogs.
That woman picked a non-issue with Lady Hussey to gain a second of limelight on Twitter. Shame on her! And good for Lady Hussey to return to royal circles on Princess Anne's side.
Susan Hussy did not ask any inappropriate questions of that woman who dressed in clearly ethnic attire. That was a set up and Ms Hussy deserves a public apology from her.
King Charles gave Tall Paul the trusted job of sorting out the Queens private correspondence to choose what could be published and what could not. In all his years of service he was trusted because he never once spoke to the press.
@chellib3533 I'm so glad you said this. Would it have been racist if she had asked a causasian person in london where their family was from? They could be from any Yorkshire or Cumbria or Australia literally anywhere. The question in and of itself doesn't seem racist at all

It's clear that black lady was being asked what ancestry she had. She was born in the UK but her ancestry was somewhere else. I don't think it's racism to ask that question. Their jobs died with QEII unless the new Monarch chose to re-employ them. As for Lady Hussey, she was asking Fulani a reasonable question, if she had known she was being entrapped, she would have asked about her family's origins. It was Lady Hussey's job to gather information that the host could discuss when presented.
Any way if Lady Diana were to be married with prince Charles until the time of the queen's passing she L D. would be only consort queen sided by king Charles.
Lady Hussey was asking Fulani a question that was not appropriate. and thus NOT reasonable - protocols were breached So get the point Perhaps in your uneducated uncultured peasant world such is reasonable -
I’m sure the queen’s dresser was bought a cottage by King Charles in a small town or village somewhere she probably chose where and has it until she dies and it will revert back to the royal family/ crown

This racism bs has gotten out of control. People have to change their perspectives, otherwise, they’ll never leave the plantation.
Where you come from (culture) is different from where you are born (place). The Lady was asking her about her heritage and she answered the place she was born.
When you ask someone a question and they answer, that's the end of it. If you keep pressing them to give you a different answer that's inappropriate. The visitor gave clear clues she didn't want this conversation to continue and a lady in waiting should be tactful and let it drop.
Absolutely agree. She could have just answered the questions my ancestors came from X but have been in the UK X number of generations. We seem to forget that someone the age of that lady has seen so much change we must allow them some room for error, political correctness is very new. I'm sure there was no offence intended
Nowadays one can't say anything without being accused of racism or sexism. Sometimes, one is just curious about others, without going into racism or sexism. The society today is really sick. Does every sentence we say have to be politically correct?
I agree. If someone can't recognize racism and just want attention....please. if she was racist she would have ignored her. Apparently, she was trying to learn something about her and be friendly. The complainer probably would have made the same accusation if she was ignored.
I take comfort knowing that all was put to right with Lady Hussey... No malice was meant in her questions as it is protocol for the lady in waiting or a woman of the bedchamber to brief Her Majesty on her visitors... I take greater comfort in knowing that the issue was put to rest by Lady Hussey and the party involved privately and Lady Hussey has since rejoined the Royal Household for Princess Anne
@henrimatisse7481 Well, no where did I state that I 'Need' to be comforted at all. Prayerfully, those that serve Queen Elizabeth were given retirement benefits after being dismissed after her death. Hopefully King Charles has a smitten of compassion in his heart
KC bought Angela Kelly a house in the North of England and she's now living nearer her family. There were (it's said) some people who didn't like her closeness with QE, but that's par for the course in royal households, since it also happened with a few of queen Victoria's staff.
Actually many of the Queen's house hold staff had passed their expected retirement age but had stayed on out of duty to continue to serve the Queen, I know for certain one member of staff who had come out of retirement to help with arrangements after the Queen's death. HM the King personally thanked them and gave them a further honour under Royal Victorian Order, which are honours that cannot be nominated for but are solely in the gift of the reigning Monarch.
You should remove the Hussey story, or pull the whole clip. It has been shown that Fulani is a fraud and Hussey tried to get a creditable story from her and she got the hump because she was very nearly exposed as such. You cite a Palace spokesperson but do not name it. The press tried to do a job on hussey and it failed and had to back pedal. Hussey is not a racist.
Of course she's not! This is yet another example of the perpetually offended finding slights and "racism" at every turn. It's their full time job. They enjoy whining and complaining instead of actually getting on with their lives.

Ngozi Felani was a created name. Her real name was Marlene Headley. She also changed how she dressed. Previous photos of her don’t show her in African attire. But let’s park that because maybe she wanted to connect with her origins. The so called transcript of that conversation was her version of what was said and not a verified version of the conversation. The charity she had Sistah Space benefited from funding from a few sources. No one knows exactly how that money was passed on to those in need.
At 0:53, Lady Susan Hussey's question to that British woman with an assumed African name, is deemed "inappropriate". It was NOT an inappropriate question at that event hosted for women from all over the world. The woman was wearing African clothing and a sort of coronet, to an event which was attended by a number of Royals from different nations. The woman had attended on someone else's invitation, and was carrying a recording device which was a breach of protocol and good manners. Lady Susan was "set up"!
If someone asked me where my family is from I wouldn't be offended and I would answer. Generations are very different in the way they speak, not everything is A BIG DEAL.
It is normal that in an institution like a house, over 70 years the staff changes for a thousand different reasons, but there are posts that want to sow unrealistic and malicious doubts.

GOOD FOR PRINCESS ANNE!!! After years of selflessly, and without pay, tending to the royal family, Miss Hussey certainly deserves better backing from the royal family than what she was shown from King Charles and Camilla! Thank you Anne for stepping up and helping someone who has served your family for many years!
The woman is in her late 80’s. She should have the decency of retiring instead of insisting to take a salary and prevent someone from being promoted. We all know that she is not up to working at the level she used to work 10 or 20 years ago.
I’m no monarchist but here in Ireland it’s a normal question to ask someone where they are from it’s historical question to find someone’s name and clan to see if we’re still fighting there family.
You should update this to reflect the very god things that happened to the late Queen's staff. Lady Susan Hussey did nothing wrong or racist, and 'fell on her sword' for the family for appearances' sake. She was then welcomed back and became a Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Camilla until the Queen abolished that position title in favor of the title of Companion. Lady Susan has represented senior members of the royal family and also accompanied them to church, Royal Ascot and other activities whereas Ngozi Fulani, aka Marlene Headley, has been exposed as a fraud. You might also have mentioned that Lady Hussey was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in the 1971 New Year Honours, Dame Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (DCVO) in the 1984 New Year Honours, and promoted to Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) in the 2013 Birthday Honours. She was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Version of the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal with 30-, 40-, 50- and 60-year bars, and in 2015 she received the Sash of Special Category of the Order of the Aztec Eagle, the highest Mexican honour awarded to a foreigner. Quite a different picture from the one you painted here. "Tall Paul" has been entrusted by King Charles to be the person to go through all of the late Queen's private papers. He will be engaged in that for quite some time, and certain ones that he specified have already been made public, revealing actions and opinions not previously known outside a very small circle of family members. Your comments about Angela Kelly are also incomplete. Kelly was not just the Queen's "dresser," as you have described her, she made many of the Queen's thousands of outfits over the years and became an extremely close friend, including being in the Queen's small COVID "bubble." She moved out of her grace-and-favour apartment at the palace because King Charles purchased and gifted her with a house of her own near her family. Sir Edward Young was granted a life peerage as Baron Young of Old Windsor sitting as a crossbencher in the House of Lords. He was also made a permanent lord-in-waiting, and appointed a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath and a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. Dame Mary Anne Morrison has been Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order since 2013, having previously been Dame Commander. As it turned out, due to the years' long renovation work now taking place at Buckingham Palace, Clarence House will remain King Charles and Queen Camilla's primary residence.
Initially I would have expected KC3 to keep most of them on, since most of the jobs still had to be done. No doubt some would have taken the oppertunity to move on, and the king would have had people he wanted to bring in.
Exactly. I would have responded to the Elderly woman that my ancestors were from Nigeria but my family came to the UK in blank year. You're right she is a cow. A person from London will ask a new aquaintace where are your people from and the response might be Cornwall. It's just their way of asking, not meant as disrespect or racist. People in the Southern U.S. or the Appalachian mtns. aka Hill people always ask who are your people or where are you from, it's just their way.
Ly, I live in Africa and have never seen any woman living in any African country dressed as shoddy and untidily as her. All our African ladies from their different tribes dress beautifully and neatly and you can see they take pride in their traditional dress. Fulani looked a hot mess and dirty. Sorry to say it.
Where are you from? Racism? Bwhahahaha….that is ridiculous. Anyway, everyone knows that wasn’t racism, and was only an attempt to be inclusive or polite.
A perfectly legitimate question. It wasn't racist. If anything was racist it was the accusation of the woman with the colourful garb, who I understand came from London, but preferred to dress as though she came from the Niger Delta.
⚔️Some ppl, of whom, be uneducated, so will answer a question, that they presume, is a racist question, that begins with: ‘Where did Ur ppl come from?’ Is, because the replier, was lacking in a pride of their roots, and finds themselves to be isolated, and or self pitying, perhaps. We must move on, from racism being relevant to that kind of question; by the former Lady in Waiting’ reply; I can see that she doesn’t have an gram of racism, within her, otherwise, she wound’t have asked the question. The very person E111R is the one, who had her in a trusted, and position requiring loyalty, without issue, is where to look, for her history: Her credential’s can’t get any higher.🛡️
'Ngozi Fulani' is, in fact, one Marlene Headley. She ran the charity called 'Sistah Space' [sic]. While she grew up in London, her parents both came to the UK from Barbados, so it would have been perfectly reasonable for Ms Headley to state this when conversing to Lady Susan, as she must have known full well what Lady Susan meant. Ms Headley was also dressed in a faux tribal outfit during the exchange, so it's hardly surprising that she was asked about her origins - women brought up in Kilburn tend not to wear invented african costume to official functions! Lady Susan is now, by the way, 'back in the fold'. Angela Kelly decided to move back to her roots and, apparently, was gifted a decent-sized detached house in Yorkshire. On his retirement, Edward Young was made a peer and a Lord-in-Waiting to HM King Charles.
That is a question that Maori in New Zealand are asked. usually by other Maori. and it is not being racist at all even if a non-Maori were to pose the query.
I am a 5th generation, native Floridian and people who have moved to the state in more recent years are always shocked that people lived here before Disney. They usually want to know more about where my family originated. It is just a matter of curiosity, no need to take offense or to alert the media.
Lady Hussey is actually a personal friend of the King and a Godmother to the Prince of Wales. I do not think she has a salary but no doubt receives expenses.
I always wondered what happens to a monarchs clothes when they pass. The queen never wore anything twice so there must be thousands of suits, gowns, and hats. They cant very well donate them. Her more important pieces i know will go into a museum or displayed in the palace but what about the rest?
Just because Fulani is paranoid and racist herself, doesn’t mean Hussey is racist. Fulani is the one at fault here, I now will never have respect for her until she apologizes to Hussey.
Racism is a terrible and serious thing when it's real and yes, it shouldn't be tolerated. Ngozi Fulani made a mistake here while in full traditional African dress, as she has with past unsubstantiated claims of racism.
If someone born in England attends a formal function in tribal clothes, I would assume it would be polite to ask them about their culture and tradition.
I think you will find that the piper doesn’t wake the King up. He pipes at 9am to warn the household that the King will be up and about so watch out ! This was the same for the Queen. Get your facts right.
Lady Hussy was asking where in Britain she was from. That was clarified later. She specifically asked after she realized she’d been misunderstood. The woman still felt it was racist to ask where anyone was from.

Thank you for your clarifications.
That is not racism. It’s interest.
If you think how many countries England ruled, where are you from is another way of saying we might know the same people.
Initially I would have expected KC3 to keep most of them on, since most of the jobs still had to be done. No doubt some would have taken the oppertunity to move on, and the king would have had people he wanted to bring in.
No doubt Camilla had her say with regard to that. She managed to involve her family at Christmas, more so than Kate could.

We must move on, from racism being relevant to that kind of question; by the former Lady in Waiting’ reply; I can see that she doesn’t have an gram of racism, within her, otherwise, she wound’t have asked the question. Racism actually could be the other way around too. She is the one who answered the question with disgraceful!! She is the very racist one!!
There are so many inaccuracies in this presentation it should be taken down.
