    Just realized the Hollowmourne grand court likely originated from the guys Sigmar tasked with defending the Stormvaults. Talk about backlash.

    With all this new info, hopefully they get a warband in the next season of Underworlds.
    Maybe a horror and a few ghouls, all with better poses and proportions. Maybe a few bits of Bretonnian-style clothing and gear, to really salt the wound...

    I like to imagine that a FEC book might not be too difficult to do. It'd bas like your basic high fantasy Arthurian book about noble knights and kings, but sprinkled throughout Are moments that just don’t fit, such as timeskips, things being in places where they shouldn’t, etc, but none of the characters questions it. A few chapters in, we see another narrative featuring different characters following their own story, so now we have a double narrative. This eventually comes to a head when the two sides meet, with every few paragraphs swapping between the two narratives and revealing that the nobles were deluded ghouls all along while still keeping up the delusion being Arthurian heroes when told from their side. It would work as a great psychological horror-thriller and for readers who don’t know much about AoS, would make them wonder which side is the one telling the truth. Which side are the actual monsters on?

    Can Ogres turn in to ghouls?
    I have an idea for a small FEC army made of the weak baby Ogres left by beastclaw raiders, following in their footsteps and feasting on their scraps.

      Nothing but humans are talked about, but if a mind can be infected by the delusion, then yes!

    New subscriber here and I want to say I love your videos. While other people do a really excellent job planning armies and rating warscrolls, you have awesome videos on lore. As a seraphon player I loved your videos there, and as I still struggle to shove my brother into warhammer, I try to get him through with FEC. These videos are really cool, and keep it up!

    I don't know if you've talked about it in one of the older vedios but what is Nagashs veiw on the flesh eater courts? As they aren't dead per say i it's not something he can just willpower to do anything he wants right?

    • @GecktronLP
      @GecktronLP 5 лет назад +3

      > As they aren't dead per say i it's not something he can just willpower to do anything he wants right?
      Nagash can't force the Mordants as they are not really dead. He has influence as they are infused with dead magic but he can't dominate them as he can with Skeletons or others.
      Ghoul Kings on the other hand are vampires. So in theory Nagash has absolute control over them, but their delusions makes it so that Nagashs orders are changed to fit into their delusion, which makes them unreliable.

      Useful play things and sometimes minor obstacles lol. That is to say, he likes them more then other races (because they are still infused with death magic) but they are inconvenient in that he cannot assume direct control of them.

    Thanks for the awesome lore videos! I need help with the theme of my army though! How do I justify making my flesh eaters army from Ghyran if I want to run the Hollowmourne Grand Court which is from Chamon? Thanks for the help!

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  5 лет назад

      Hey there! When armies enter a realm they slowly take on the attributes of it. Therefore, if they were founded in Chamon, and moved into ghyran through a realmgate, they would slowly take on the characteristics of ghyran as well :)

    Are Ghoul Kings sentient?
    Because the delusion sounds like a "smart" delusion. As if it's sentient in how it adapts around new circumstances.
    Is the Carrion King sentiently controlling the delusion? Or does each Arch-Regent control his own army? Or is the delusion itself sentient somehow?
    This can't be just a "spell". It's too strong for that.

    • @GecktronLP
      @GecktronLP 5 лет назад +3

      The delusion is really just a form of madness. The carrion king descended into his madness trough Nagashs punishment.
      The Abhorrants are sentient, its just that they see everything trough the lens of their delusion/madness and act according to their view of the world. The magical thing about this delusion is how it spreads to the members of his court.
      The delusion is part of the ghoul king just as much as his left arm.

    Maybe someone here can explain to me how a Vampire would look ruling over a sun worshiping cult like the ghoul kings and blister skin. For thematic reasons.

    • @jakea3950
      @jakea3950 5 лет назад +1

      Well ghoul king's are vampires if that helps. You could still go with the theme, paint them a blood orange skin colour as they would still blister if in the sun.

    • @InquisitorThomas
      @InquisitorThomas 4 года назад +1

      The way Vampire React to the Sun is a bit odd in Warhammer, they have a lot of the weaknesses associated with classic vampires, they are hurt by the sun, they don't like being near holy symbols etc. but if a Vampire is strong enough they can essentially "tough it out" and ignore the relatively minor harm if they're forced to fight in unfavorable conditions.

    Quick lore question: Can a person be born into a flesh eater court?

    • @dennishaight1542
      @dennishaight1542 5 лет назад +2

      Perhaps, the FEC are not truely undead. Yet, neither are they truly alive. It is theoretically possible that a child can be born to the FEC and that the madness takes them from day one. Alternatively they may indeed be unable to have children. This is stuff GW doesn't like to get super in-depth on.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  5 лет назад +5

      Dennis nailed it. It seems technically possible, but not likely. I COULD see a small child being brought into the delusion after an FEC raid and some ghoul assumes the role of loving parent in the delusion.
