The pipe set up is for a single engine/EDF where the intakes are, and it splits into the "Y" for the exhaust to exit. If you want a true twin, you'll have to modify the intake trunk and tailpipes to accommodate two separate engines. Very rarely are there "stock twin" planes without modifications to either make it one, or to improve what you're given to make it better. Also this particular F-15E is painted in an Aggressor paint scheme, whereas that squadron is F-15Cs, not the Mudhen. If the company would've done their homework, they'd know this... I know it's because it looks cool, but if you're going for accurate, then it should have a WSO too, because the F-15E is a two seater, CFTs, ferry tanks AND tons of bombs/missiles (literally). Oh, and an all over dark grey paint job.
Thanks James. Yea the FB F-15 used to be designed as a single OR a twin. But we have been told that the newer version (which this one is) is designed for both. Hey @moebettter. Didn't take a real good look at it but once we start the build I can comment more on the quality of the aircraft and the parts. I have no problem being critical and sharing what I do and don't like.
I think a closer film reference would be "Iron Eagle" with Louis Gossett Jr. Hmm, double checked and they use F-16's in that series of movies. Still be closer since at least their USAF LOL

As awesome as they are F-15s aren't Naval Aircraft. But should they ever make a movie about the Air Force version of Top Gun aka "Red Flag" the F-15E would very likely feature very prominently.
Gear, as stated, is the potential weak point on this plane. Looking forward to your build of it as i was really considering one but the gear reliability/issues gave me pause. What really stopped me though was the angle at which the gear is mounted on some I’ve seen. F-15 sits tall and proud with main gear straight down. Some of the FB F-15s have them angled out. Kills the stance. Looks like a proud eagle trying to stand after getting kicked in the crotch. 😀
Great Question Daniel. Primary reason is it's possibly more flexible than stainless or Titanium. On a setup like an F-15, F-22, F18 there are huge forces on the elevators. Also most manufactures make the surfaces removable so if you constantly sliding them in and out of the bearing block it could wear the aluminum shaft quicker than a titanium one. So ultimately I think for this application it's better to see a titanium or SS Shaft here.
