The centerline tank is a fuel tank, The 3 green on the plyon are M82 iron bombs. The big green with the yellow nose are the cluster bombs. Man I love that plane.
Nice quick build series! I like it. That dry weight is awesome! The "Slats" on the A-10 are there to smooth the air over the wing at high AOA. This helps to prevent turbulent, separated air from entering the engine and possibly causing a flame out. Speaking of flame out, one of the cool features of the Jeti DS-24 is the "Stick Shaker" function. I bring this up because you can set up an alarm that shakes the sticks respectively left or right for a left or right flame out. It can be tough to hear a flame out on a twin. You may see the smoke trail but due to orientation, not be able to tell which motor. In a twin, timely flame out identification is crucial. I used it for the first time in my PC-21 because turbo prop flame outs maybe easy to see, but also hard to hear. Peace of mind thru Jeti tech!
This is how desensitized and spoiled we are from lighter side of rc....he builds such big projects and high dollar builds the skymaster a10 is just a quick side series(yes he's done one before and painTed the foam one) but we see so much insane builds that the a10 is just a quick build lol....love it because I'd never be exposed to builds like this besides at an event...aside from a couple rebels and a boomerang ranger and some varf vipers and an odyssey that's it for my area
Building something that awesome is beyond me. That being said, I could fly it. I'd put a head tracking FPV camera in it and fly it with my goggles. Beautiful aircraft, Sir! 👏👏👏
Gorgeous rc plane! 👍👍👍Now imagine, to bring this rc into full representation of the actual jet that you could use the compressor to run a paintball system for the Vulcan to go along with the that "BRRRRRRTTTT!!!" and make the ordinance usable by filling them with flour so you can have visible ground impacts. So of course this would add extra overall weight and the need for a more powerful compressor and jets would be required. Also to save using fuel for taxiing use electric motors on the rear wheels. As expensive as this thing is I would want a FPV camera system than simply eyeballing it as many rc flyers do. Great video at putting it all together. Test run sounded great.
Is there any tech that would allow someone to fly one of these RC planes via a flightsimulator setup instead of the standard handhelp controller? Maybe put a camera in the nose and sides and add a wireless connection to a flightsim setup. Just a thought.
Amazing. I've always wondered through all of my years of glancing at the large scale RC planes. How can you spend all that time and energy building such a masterpiece, when it seems like it wouldn't take much larger of a scale for you to become payload. You know, to ensure that all of the systems are working properly during flight...
@@thelightersideofrc Only thing it needs is a mini gun and a guidance system. The Democrats could win again, ya know. Just kidding. Just kidding. But it would make for a good border deterrent.
7:43 The leading edge "things" are called "slats" the translator says. 😉 In german it's called "Vorflügel". They increases the lift by accelerating the air flow over the wing.
The A-10 represents death on swift wings for the most robust of ground forces, which are tanks and armored vehicles as well as Bunkers, So this Aircraft already has reputation and an unapologetic appearance that gave it the name "warthog." but in this black and Charcoal paint scheme with the Viper face paint makes this aircraft more beautiful AND menacing than it otherwise would already have intrinsically, which is then pushed over the top with the full array of ordinance this "Destroying Angel" brings with her. She is perhaps the single most Iconic aircraft in the arsenal of ground attack aircraft to ever have been made, and I hope that when this aircraft is replaced, that the replacement is just as menacing and carried a nod to the former aircraft that it replaced. You Have outdone yourself with this sweetheart of a build. great work and you certainly show that you are a very skilled and talented builder for such an incredible aircraft. everything about this Plane screams $$$$$ and you make it look as if it was built by Fairchild Republic themselves and ready to Rock and roll in the Scale world! Now someone needs to build a .22 LR gatling gun to fit this aircraft so she can attack ground targets on a range like in real life! LOL
Totally awesome. Your building technique is excellent. Because you are a perfectionist, you don't skip many details that most modellers out wouldn't even think about. I am a perfectionist too, though I still learn new things everytime I watch your videos. 😇 May I humbly suggest something? Would you consider (in the future) numbering your videos (in the video title) for each episode so we can follow them easily? Yes, your channel numbers them when you go there but it still bundles bunch of videos together. For example, in your A-10 series, there are two different builds. And when one follows them on RUclips (outside your channel), it gets so confusing sometimes because RUclips doesn't suggest the right one. And after the last video once you are finally done with the specific build, the whole series title can even be put in (x of y) format. That way when we start watching, we would know how many videos are involved in that specific build. Just a sugestion of course. Your videos are still awesome as they are. 👍 Thanks
At some point with the engine warm up the pitch of the engine noise changes to match EXACTLY the pitch of my tinnitus and I can no longer hear it (the tinnitus). Fantastic!
They want too spend Billions on a new platform that will suck hundreds of Billions in defense contracts that they will eventually get 10-15% of the total cash spent on the program once they become Civilian Consultants. It is always about the money… When in doubt see who will get rich by ditching something as potent as it is.
I have had an eberspacher diesel night heater that had made as much noise at night as those engines. 😂 Seriously though pretty coool stuff especially when you consider old RC tech from my era as a teenager in the 80’s . Wonder if is possible to emulate the sound of a Vulcan bomber with a scale model, ooooh that eerie sound was something to behold . ❤🇬🇧
Nice job, Jonathan. However, I don't care how cold it is outside...pointing 2 turbines at your plastic vehicle's plastic bumper cover could leave a mark. :)
Great jet! In Europe there is a problem with weight. From 24kg a model is treated like a normal aircraft. In Schweit, for example, an extensive (and expensive) approval by the Bazl (similar to FAA) would be required. Strength tests are then mandatory.
Some day when I make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year I'll be able to afford to buy one of these :) Wish I had your skill at building them so people could pay me to build them for them! I love flying but one of my favorite things is to put together and set up an ARF.

This can go as high as 30.000 thousand us dollars in parts and big knowledge in fixing all of them as a whole.
Cool and expertized craftmanship.
👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
that's so cool , unfortunately its for rich kids :P
@@craven1749 Yeah 😕
Stellar work. You found a way to make an A10 look mean and beautiful at the very same time. Incredible…. can’t stop looking at it.
Wow, thank you!😎🙌
Has to be one of the best builds you have done that scheme is something to admire
Thanks very much!

I love the A 10's they are an awesome plane. Just fricken Awesome Mate
Thank you very much!
A10 is my favorite jet !!!! My wife was in the Air Force 40 years, got to see many jets over that time. But the A10 !!!! Beautiful build !!
Very Cool! Thanks for watching!
Very cool! And....de-ice your truck as well! 😀
Exactly!
Super sweet build ! Got to love the A10. Looking forward to seeing it fly. Great job!

Too funny. I did that a few days ago!!
Awesome video!
Thank you!
I think you did a fine job with the A10. I admire your skills even though I tease you about stabbing everything.

*Might as well of just built a full sized A-10.*
HAHA. Little different price bracket!
the canopy could be video screens projecting the cockpit and pilot and stuff......hell yeah

12:34 Hello Jonathan,
Can you tell me what these black foldable stands are? Thank you
They are automotive "Hood Stands" often used in the painting and glass industry.
Awesome looking plane
Thanks a lot!
Great site man,excellent work.😊
Thanks a lot 😊
That is awesome turned up to 11!
HAHA. Thanks!
That a10 looks really nice

Anything is possible. There are rules in place with FPV stuff and Turbine aircraft depending on where your located.
WOW It's really cool 👍
Thank you!
Id love to build one of these just to sit and stare at lol. I wouldnt have the stones to actually fly it haha
Big = Easy to fly!
Sheesh how far rc cars planes and boats have come since i was a young buck
No kidding! The past 10-15 years has been massive!
WOW I mean loss of words on that controller
😎
Alot different than when I had a RC in 1988.😮
HAHA. no kidding! A bit has changed!
Are the front Turbo Fans just spinning from the suction of the engines? If so that's so cool and ingenius!!
Exactly!
Freakin amazing, just absolutely gorgeous!❤

Gorgeous plane and build! That green jet hanging on your wall, by your flat screen, caught my eye ... What is it??
Thank you! The green one is the Hangar 9/horizon hobby Havoc EDF.
The leading edge forms you installed are call “slates”. They help when the plane is at slow speeds by giving it more lift.
Thanks

I never will understand why the Air Force hates this plane so much.
It's probably because the army absolutely loves it.
😂

Most fighter pilots want to fly fast and not low and slow in the poop! The A10 pilots are some kind of special.
It’s 2024. The battlefield that this plane flies in no longer exists. See Ukraine and astounding amount of SU-25 casualties.
That’s a beautiful plane
