The centerline tank is a fuel tank, The 3 green on the plyon are M82 iron bombs. The big green with the yellow nose are the cluster bombs. Man I love that plane.

This is how desensitized and spoiled we are from lighter side of rc....he builds such big projects and high dollar builds the skymaster a10 is just a quick side series(yes he's done one before and painTed the foam one) but we see so much insane builds that the a10 is just a quick build lol....love it because I'd never be exposed to builds like this besides at an event...aside from a couple rebels and a boomerang ranger and some varf vipers and an odyssey that's it for my area

Nice quick build series! I like it. That dry weight is awesome! The "Slats" on the A-10 are there to smooth the air over the wing at high AOA. This helps to prevent turbulent, separated air from entering the engine and possibly causing a flame out. Speaking of flame out, one of the cool features of the Jeti DS-24 is the "Stick Shaker" function. I bring this up because you can set up an alarm that shakes the sticks respectively left or right for a left or right flame out. It can be tough to hear a flame out on a twin. You may see the smoke trail but due to orientation, not be able to tell which motor. In a twin, timely flame out identification is crucial. I used it for the first time in my PC-21 because turbo prop flame outs maybe easy to see, but also hard to hear. Peace of mind thru Jeti tech!

Building something that awesome is beyond me. That being said, I could fly it. I'd put a head tracking FPV camera in it and fly it with my goggles.

Is there any tech that would allow someone to fly one of these RC planes via a flightsimulator setup instead of the standard handhelp controller? Maybe put a camera in the nose and sides and add a wireless connection to a flightsim setup. Just a thought.
Anything is possible. There are rules in place with FPV stuff and Turbine aircraft depending on where your located.
A10 is my favorite jet !!!! My wife was in the Air Force 40 years, got to see many jets over that time. But the A10 !!!! Beautiful build !!

Gorgeous rc plane! 👍👍👍Now imagine, to bring this rc into full representation of the actual jet that you could use the compressor to run a paintball system for the Vulcan to go along with the that "BRRRRRRTTTT!!!" and make the ordinance usable by filling them with flour so you can have visible ground impacts. So of course this would add extra overall weight and the need for a more powerful compressor and jets would be required. Also to save using fuel for taxiing use electric motors on the rear wheels. As expensive as this thing is I would want a FPV camera system than simply eyeballing it as many rc flyers do. Great video at putting it all together. Test run sounded great.

Amazing. I've always wondered through all of my years of glancing at the large scale RC planes. How can you spend all that time and energy building such a masterpiece, when it seems like it wouldn't take much larger of a scale for you to become payload. You know, to ensure that all of the systems are working properly during flight...

More like "Super Cool". The A-10 is ground support on steroids. I know if I was a grunt, the sound of the A-10's turbo fans and the "30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary autocannon" would be a welcoming one (gun descrption from Wiki).

They want too spend Billions on a new platform that will suck hundreds of Billions in defense contracts that they will eventually get 10-15% of the total cash spent on the program once they become Civilian Consultants. It is always about the money… When in doubt see who will get rich by ditching something as potent as it is.
Most fighter pilots want to fly fast and not low and slow in the poop! The A10 pilots are some kind of special.
It’s 2024. The battlefield that this plane flies in no longer exists. See Ukraine and astounding amount of SU-25 casualties.

At some point with the engine warm up the pitch of the engine noise changes to match EXACTLY the pitch of my tinnitus and I can no longer hear it (the tinnitus). Fantastic!

The leading edge forms you installed are call “slates”. They help when the plane is at slow speeds by giving it more lift.

7:43 The leading edge "things" are called "slats" the translator says. 😉 In german it's called "Vorflügel". They increases the lift by accelerating the air flow over the wing.

Great jet! In Europe there is a problem with weight. From 24kg a model is treated like a normal aircraft. In Schweit, for example, an extensive (and expensive) approval by the Bazl (similar to FAA) would be required. Strength tests are then mandatory.
Yea our restrictions in Canada are currently very similar and in the USA there is a few different categories.

The A-10 represents death on swift wings for the most robust of ground forces, which are tanks and armored vehicles as well as Bunkers, So this Aircraft already has reputation and an unapologetic appearance that gave it the name "warthog." but in this black and Charcoal paint scheme with the Viper face paint makes this aircraft more beautiful AND menacing than it otherwise would already have intrinsically, which is then pushed over the top with the full array of ordinance this "Destroying Angel" brings with her. She is perhaps the single most Iconic aircraft in the arsenal of ground attack aircraft to ever have been made, and I hope that when this aircraft is replaced, that the replacement is just as menacing and carried a nod to the former aircraft that it replaced. You Have outdone yourself with this sweetheart of a build. great work and you certainly show that you are a very skilled and talented builder for such an incredible aircraft. everything about this Plane screams $$$$$ and you make it look as if it was built by Fairchild Republic themselves and ready to Rock and roll in the Scale world! Now someone needs to build a .22 LR gatling gun to fit this aircraft so she can attack ground targets on a range like in real life! LOL

Cools off a few ft behind turbine’s.
The peace on the bottom isn't a bomb it's actually a center line fuel tank. The racks of bombs are mk-82 jdam bombs . The cluster bombs are the 2 bombs with the round front. Plane looks awesome.
Written on the tank is a bomb which is why I called it that.
I was surprised that the ordinance weighed 3.75 lbs. I think you used all the adjectives to describe the looks of that jet, can't think of anymore

I have never seen an Rc turbine with what looks to be actual bypass fans in the front that actually rotate. Are they functional? Are they driven by the turbine shaft or just by the air moving past them. Either way, so cool.
It's a cool, unique feature on these A10 kits. They are functional but just move by air moving through them from the turbine. Helpful during cool down.

How do you take these monster airplanes to the field?
Dedicated aircraft trailer! Wings come off for transport.
For your canopy opening. Do you set up a logic switch so it won't open while flying? Just incase you hit the open switch.
Can easily do a few different scenarios eg. Gear needs to be down, turbine at idle etc. It's setup on one of the rear switches which are difficult to access.
On mine I did gear down and airspeed below 10mph.
