MTA Bus Company : 2017 New Flyer XD60 "Xcelsior" Artic Buses On The Q52 Limited & Q53 Limited

In preparation of the Q52/Q53 +Select Bus Service+ coming in a matter of weeks, the Q52 is slowly being converted into an articulated route in the meantime.
Select Bus Service begins on these lines in November, I believe the 12th or 13th, so these buses will become more common as the days go on.
What you'll see here are several videos of New Flyer XD60 "Xcelsior" Artics operating on the Q52 Limited & Q53 Limited making their way through the Woodhaven Blvd corridor.
These buses were originally supposed to be in service in Manhattan for the M101, M102 & M103 and to Brooklyn for the M shuttle, but were sent to JFK and LaGuardia for the Q52 & Q53.

These probably won't hit the M79 or M86. They'll likely hit the M14A & M14D.

If there's one thing I'm apprehensive about, it's the ridership distribution between the Q52 and Q53. I looked at the schedules, and the issue I had with them prior to conversion is still there.
If you're wondering, many Q52 trips are uncomfortably close to Q53 trips.

Remember that they both cater to different crowds. The scheduling is mostly beneficial for those that commute along the blvds, not so much for the folks down at the Rockaways.
We have a few months before they decide to make any schedule adjustments to the lines.
