As a NYC bus enthusiast, it's amazing to watch this in 2022 and look at how much things have changed since then. About 80-90% of the clips in this video can no longer be taken due to buses being retired, transferred to different depots, etc. This brings back so many memories!
I like how american buses are different from any bus you find in the rest of the world, that space behind the last seats,is ALL of that the engine? the design, well,is a matter of taste but everything looks like it's made only to be functional
Jarrett Stewart wait a minute I thought New York is much larger please to film but is just to much people Every time I record a bus video people always see me Filming and I don’t want them to say why you recording me and the bus then the next thing you get In trouble.
NYC is taking its time with the racks. 2 years after your comment they are still nowhere to be found lol. The MTA should take notes from PAT on the way they spec their buses.
Jarrett Stewart oh, that's bad . The Citaro c2 is such a great bus in the designe and the engine and safety. Also the new eCitaro came out. Also great busses , me as a Geman who see the citaro like every single day on the streets , feel kinda the busses in the US are very old , some looks little bit modern and some looks like from the year 1995 .
@@jenswalter7062 I agree European buses look better. The best looking transit bus here in North America in my opinion is the New Flyer Xcelsior: www.newflyer.com/buses/xcelsior-family/
Hey. You Should Visit Staten Islands Railway And Busses. (The Railway Is Owned By MTA And Operated By MTA. Same As The Busses) You Might Find The Staten Island Railway A Bit Different.
Yeah take only this type of bus in 3:1 of English cities exchange of only two Virginia type submarine to study! for money.this who the gc company bus is in use here.Never use it any nowhere else except English cities.
the design reminds me of the buses of the 90s in europe 😂 these vehicles are not modern in 2022 😂 look at the 100% electric mercedes citaro elec buses. even Chinese bus are more modern. in addition hybrid engines are the worst after combustion engines

I can't believe all the NYCT O7 OG Hybrids are gone now. I remember when they were brand new like yesterday, the O7 OG CNGs too!
so true .
Most of these buses I remember I grew up with these and now I am said that they retired.
The quality is amazing. Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching.
Muito bonito os ônibus de Manhattan. Eu sou do Rio de Janeiro Niterói e me amarro nos busões de New York.
Obrigado por assistir.

Yes it is all engine back there.
Even the steering wheel is too basic for my taste in American buses
The old buses in London had black and yellow bands now they dont
@@WycliffStudios the steering wheel on some volvo buses are basic
@@blackman-bp4tq they’ve made it a little modern looking .
Damn I wish they still had the RTS nova buses in Staten Island
Choo choo! I'm a train and I approve this video ! :)

Something like that 1979 Yes they do, a lot of them and in all boroughs except Staten Island.
9357 looks so weird in Manhattan

Dude, You Know Why They Banned The Blue Lights On The Front Of A Select Bus Service? I don't
Here is the answer: secondavenuesagas.com/2013/01/18/flashing-blue-lights-no-longer-an-sbs-hallmark/
This time MTA used M60 buses a lot.
I am never going into that city again.

Only 2 doors on the articulated buses?
Jakub Gurba No there’s 3 Except for the New Flyer D60HF’s
More seats that way
I didn’t see Queens buses....
Now I see why MTA get a lot of views more then SEPTA because is New York people love New York
And live in New York:)
But do people really love the MTA? Your system is much larger and more locations to film.
Jarrett Stewart wait a minute I thought New York is much larger please to film but is just to much people

@@DARKNIGHT-525 You can just try and ignore people looking, otherwise look open spots amongst the crowds.
No bicycle racks?
The MTA is really slow in getting them. They have been trialing them on a couple Staten Island routes since September of last year: goo.gl/fAKQ2Y

no rack mechanism for bicyclists to place 2 wheeled bicycles?
+BUZZ New York City is behind on putting bike racks on buses. Even today it is not yet commonplace.

Lawrence They are on Staten Island Bus Routes S53 and S93 But other than that it’s no where else

Why doesn't NYC get some trolleybuses and streetcars?? It's all diesels, very dull!
The city is working on a streetcar called the BQX: www.bqx.nyc/
NO
They used to before they removed them in the mid/late 50's.
Jere Cullen It’s not all Diesels
There are a Few Electric and CNG buses
Rm-4 permissioned.
Got NYC also a Mercedes Citaro?
No, Mercedes does not sell transit busses in the US.

They aren't, but bus ridership in the city is falling: bit.ly/2FPKNwX
