  • Fault code readers and scanners can very quickly eat through your budget for maintaining and servicing on your own car, with many units running into four figure prices. And as good as they are, many people on the more amateur/hobbyist end of the vehicle maintenance spectrum don't need most of the features which those units offer...
To that point comes the Blue Driver OBD-2 code reader, a Bluetooth plug-n-play unit which connects straight to your phone using their own free app. Scanning all systems doesn't take particularly long, and the fact that it allows for deleting past codes is a big help to cleaning up the dashboard of your daily driver. On a budget of around $100 it certainly seems like a useful item to have in your toolbox, so let's take a look at this scan tool in action from my personal experience with it on my Cadillac Escalade ESV, to review the BlueDriver OBD-II scanner, and determine whether or not it's actually worth picking one up for yourself.

I can honestly say I’ve had mine for roughly 3-4 years now and have not experienced any problems with it. Definitely worth picking up to keep in the car!

3:47 how are you driving on the left lane while the steering wheel is on the left also?!

Easy, just drive, lol. Left hand drive imports aren’t difficult to use in England, just keep close to the kerb and you’ll be fine

@@HSGAutomotive I think if you are driving on the left lane, the steering wheel is supposed to be on the right. It always should be opposite.
I thought this is a universal rule 🙂

What are those crazy zig zag lines on your roads for?

    • @HSGAutomotive

They indicate absolutely no parking or overtaking allowed there because you are approaching a pedestrian crossing
