Very well done video. Its your best ever that i can recall. Can't wait to use our fixd sensor
Let us know what you think?!
@@DiaryofaFamily certainly
Fixd had not worked on any of my vehicles. And the way they charge you before you even get your device for their "premium" pacxage. Smh I had to get my money
My money bacx.
They charged me 60 dollars as soon that 7 day trial ended and I didn't even have the device yet.
Thnx for the follow up. I watched your previous video related to this one. This one is more kind of complete. Thnx again.
You are welcome. I felt the need to make this as the FIXD program is constantly changing.
Man this is a well put together video. Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Thank you and God Bless you and your family and keep you all safe while on the road RVing.
Our pleasure!
I hvae the Fixd module along with several other scan tools but my Fixd is my go to ..& love it so far & ive had it fro many many years now ..Thanks for sharing
same here. thank you for sharing.
Thank you, this is very well done!
Thanks.
Atleast its good to know you dont have to buy premium, but it was definitely informative to know what premium included. Great video...
We are glad it was helpful for you.
Thank you!👍👍👍
Great video. I rather spend more money to have a top end code reader. Yes it will cost more up front. But, buying the reader and two years of the premium service it comes out the same for top model. Also, with top models you can do more with your vehicle. Just a thought.
Thanks for sharing. Yes there are many options that can give you more functionality.
tks for the video. Very informative.
Thank you for the info it was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video it was very introduced you explain every question I've been having since I got it. Now I can start using it again cuz I haven't been interested in the premium. But for some reason I wasn't able to use it my internet service is very strong. I'll try it again
hopefully it worked out.
Best review of this product yet. Thanks
Thanks, Great information
thanks for watching.
Thanks for the info and God bless 🙌
Any time!
Very informative! Thanks bro 💯🔥
Thanks.
Great video, thank you.
You’re welcome
great content and very well explained.
Great video. Thank u.
thanks for watching.
Just bought Fixd through your link👍🏽
Congrats. You’ll like it.
how do you like it so far
Thanks for the video 😊
thanks for watching.
I just ordered fixd. I'll be back to review and update it periodically. I will be brutally honest.
I drive a 2011 Toyota Sequoia SR5.
This was only 20 bucks but I plan to give it a thorough work over and run through and I am not buying the premium service initially.
Good idea.
Where did you get for 20 i bought for 60 on amazon smh
@@angelhardass their website had a promo going on. But when I did a web search, there were a few places with it 20-30
@@-TerryBogard I just bought one $20 and waiting for shipping. I was so surprised that they shipped this product through UPS to USPS and u will get it from USPS (base on tracking number). I hope it's not fraud...
@@decondeghet I just road tripped across the country and my Maint light came on blinking. Scanned it with fixd and no errors. So I looked up the light and it was telling me it was time for an oil change. I wouldn't have known this without it, so far well spent.
FIXID is okay haven't had any issues with their App or device.
We’ve been using it for 3+ years and haven’t had any real issues with it.
good vid. thank you.
Thanks.

Nice video. You convinced me to buy a Fixd for myself. Thank you.
Thanks.
Awesome review homes... that's how to DESERVE your affiliate commissions, definitely! ✊🏾✊🏾💯
Thanks.
I like the premium service so far.
They have some great features on the premium plan.
Premium features not worth it. I would only be interested in the emissions precheck. Not going to pay $72 per year for that. There are better OBD scanners for much less money that can read the the status of all the emissions monitors. Don't waste your money on this.
The premium features are optional. You can still use the OBD features. That’s what is great about the free market. There are options and some people may like another option. Cool.
What's the best one would you say Camaro guy?
@@scalywag I can't tell you which one is the best because I haven't tried them all. What I can tell you is that I bought the OBDLink MX Plus and am very happy with it. I paid $125 for mine. Comes with a mobile app, has some enhanced features, there are no recurring fees, and you can use it on as many vehicles as you like.
Exactly
Blue drive is the best
nice video, have you tried the calling the mechanic feature? and how is it? Thanks!!
I have not. A lot of features that they have weren’t there when I tested it. Or were premium features.
Glory To God!!!
amen.
Thank you, you answered my questions and I successfully cancelled the "premium" $99 a year subscription that I would NOT have needed. I have an excellent mechanic for the Jags for years, just need to know- (if for example) - was safe to drive to the shop or have the AAA flatbed transport to the shop.
Excellent!
Well done, but no one to this point has made the point that the Gov free phone doesn't work for this.. If you know differently please fill me in.
Excellent video! Just used sensor for the first time bc engine sensor came on. Turn out a tire sensor is bad.
thank you.
Does it tell you which tire?
Very good video explanation
Glad you liked it
Does it read the mileage (to discover if a car's odometer reading is tampered or not) too? For example, you are buying a car and you want to check if everything is legit and good with the car. TY
Great.
Does it require a check engine light to be on it can it read problems that are there that may not have triggered the check engine light?
1996 is only valid in the US. 2001 and 2004 for petrols and diesels in the UK
Thanks.
I just ordered this the other day, and just wondered, can you use it on multiple vehicles?
While I'll be using it on my vehicle, I want to be able to scan my moms, as well as other family members cars.
The Fixd site says I should purchase other scanners for more than one vehicle, but that just doesn't make any sense...
Yes you can use it on multiple vehicles.
I’m in the same boat as that person. I purchased one of these devices but couldn’t use it unless I subscribed to a payment plan. Can’t remember the monthly amount but it’s roughly $40 a yr.
$99 a year.
What is weird is you don't have to do the subscription plan. there is a small X that appears a few minutes after you initially log in where it has the premium plans. Every time I have used it I haven't had to pay and I've tried creating a new profile on a new device and was able to bypass the subscription all together.
What does "clear code" actually do? Does it just turn off the warning light? Will the light just come back on again?
If your vehicle continues to have the issue it will continue to trip a code. Being able to reset the light is nice if you are trying to determine if there is a false error reading, but the OBD II system is meant to alert you on a potential problem, so take note of the code.
Since I have the FIXD gadget I have 4 cars. If I pay for the premium for one car, do I have to pay premium again for the other cars I own ?
Do you leave FIXD unit plugged into Port?
Or, unplug after every use?
I leave it plugged in. but it's up to you. with the live gauge features you leave it plugged in to use them.
@@DiaryofaFamily
Thanks for responding
Can I use live gauges for oil temp without internet?
I mean will it work on an iphone while i’m in the car? I’m thinking of buying this instead of several gauges, for a Toyota GT86
I believe the gauges dont need the internet to work. the internet is primarily used to reference the check engine code.
It should, it uses Bluetooth to link the scanner with the phone.
Good video. If someone could clear something up for me... Is it required to have the device inserted all the time? I had an issue with my A/C shutting off for 5+ mins then coming back on over & over. When I inserted the device, and checked the app, "no issues found", so I'm not sure if I need to leave it in place. Thx
No need to keep it plugged into your vehicle. It basically reads the codes that your vehicles obd computer puts out.
Do you keep the Fixed sensor plugged in while you drive?
Yes, we do.
I have it and it always says nothing is wrong with my vehicle every single time but other readers will show that there is something.
I don't use the premium. They claim it's not a requirement but I don't think it diagnoses correctly if you don't...???
Does the check engine light have to come on in order for this to work?
you can scan at any time. there are some codes that will linger in the system. it could be a sign of a larger problem.. I love this because when i go to my trusted mechanic i have at least an idea of what the issue may be.
Name your vehicle? I named mine Jodie Foster. It's a silver Jaguar...
Thats is fun. Thanks for sharing.
For some reason my fixd isnt connecting now
I bought one and it was helpful--sort of. It told me the battery on my van was running at 11 which was getting low. Bad alternator but FIXD didn't diagnose that. I took the FIXD to run it on a car I was thinking of buying but it didn't catch anything even though the car heater wouldn't heat up the interior, and the engine was getting hot. Why it didn't catch something so obviously wrong? Who knows?
It really depends on what your vehicle can detect. This is a OBDII reader, it can clear a checked engine light and give you the readout of what codes your vehicle is giving, if you van can't detect the issue then it won't throw a code.
One of the important questions that I wish someone would have asked is
how many vehicles can you use with the same sensor?
If it's asking you to name car #1 Which means you are connecting it with your app To use it for that car, can you take the sensor and put it in car #2 And do diagnostic tests within the same app
Yes, you can set up multiple profiles. We have used the app in our Dodge truck and our Mazda car.
it doesnt work on any car i tested it on. 2006 lexus is250, citroen berlingo, hyundai getz. non worked, didnt even connect to the sensor, only found the connection
I've just got one and I haven't got a problem with it making a connection with the sensor
All right my phone didn't put down what is it I said I got one a few months ago and it will not connect to the sensor my car is down I bought it for a reason and it's not doing me no good I got to wait until I get the money to take it to the shop to pay a hundred and something dollars to have it put on the computer to find out what's wrong with it because fix it is not capable of telling me anything or even connecting to the little sensor so it can whatever the problem is so disregard my last complaint cuz my phone did not print it out correctly you need to send me something that works
@@deanbeardsley2907 maybe the problem isn't with the OBD reader. Just sayin
I had used fixed to bought some used cars and I glad I had premium service (pre emissions check). Some cars owner unplugged their battery terminals to reset errors codes. At this point if you use fixed to check the car "fixed " won't find any problems. But with premium pre emissions check will failed for oxygen sensor, EVAP , and some other sensors because computer had been reset.
Thanks for the tip
I've failed emissions test on inspection TWICE. Will this tell me WHY? What is causing the problem so I can fix it???
If your vehicle can identify what the problem is through the OBDII system then yes.
I know my power steering pump is going out in my car, its kind of obvious and I believe its leaking to, not 100% sure on that.
Would that app tell me if its leaking?
If your vehicle can detect the problem it’ll report it to the OBD reader.
Does it reset the lights once you fixed the problem?
you can reset the check engine light.
Hey, Is FIXD better than all the other similar gadgets or better for value & money? I live in Australia & want to know if the auto stores have them for sale here?
There are pros and cons to every product. Research and find what’s best for you.
This one I have used since 2013 and it has always been right and no subscription price. Autel MS300 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader
Can i monitor missfires on the fixed up?
Scan keeps saying everything is OK, meanwhile engine light on solid whenever not moving and alarm blinging away. 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager
I’d take your mini van into the shop. The obd II can only read what your vehicles computer is telling you.
Is it easy to cancel the app premium subscription?
Hi man can’t you tell me how erase or delete the codes on this scanner please
Have you watched my review of the FIXD app? I go over all that. ruclips.net/video/upeC-kLE73A/видео.html
Most new cars tell you with wrong with cars. The thing about the app obd reader are not faster enough when you at auction 🤦🏾♂️
this is a great tool if you don't have the newest car.
Trying to learn how to work it the e
Excellent
In reality, they could make it more obvious to users to add a button that says "No thanks"
I can not get to scan
Can I use on multiple vehicles
yes
Will this work on my 1990 Ford Festiva
Probably not. The OBD system was implemented in 1996.
. *I purchased one not knowing they want you to create an account; I don't want to create an account, and as it's Bluetooth, why should one have to, unless they are tracking my data.*
*I'll just stick with my wired one and keep my privacy.*
That's your choice. Though most of your privacy is already gone if you are online. have a smart phone or are apart of any social media.
@@DiaryofaFamily :
*Only if you allow it.*
They are tracking your data. Whenever it works (often it doesn't work at all, I keep trying to connect with frustration ), they Email me the info about the codes it threw .
@@snoglydox yup privacy is everything... lol
I tryed it but it say it dosent pick up the sensor please help!!!
Make sure the blue tooth adapter is set into the OBD II port securely. Also make sure your device is using the current OS. If that doesn’t work contact customer support. fixd.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Thank you
You're welcome
Does this FIXD app also reset the oil service light ?
Our truck doesn't have a oil service light. and we don't have a way to reset it ourselves and I haven't seen that in the app.
Do you leave it hook up all the time or unplug
We leave it plugged in.
So when you use the Fixd App from your own device, you are saying that you can scan multiple vehicles? I did not know if during the setup and the naming of the vehicle, once named I would also be able to also scan an name any additional vehicle within the app on my device without paying the premium fee.
Yes. We have both our vehicles setup within the app. No extra fees or premium services required.
What if you used the fixd on a different car and have a new account
We used it with multiple vehicles. you can just add a new vehicle in your profile.
Its been TOO BUGGY for me to use recently.
I'm going to Harbor Freight or somewhere to get something else.
What kind of bugs?
same here. software is acting randomly. Sometimes it connects and others it doesn't . Cannot connect while am standing next to it.
I just purchased Fixd sensor in Pakistan for my Japanese Subaru Pleo Plus 2015. App is asking for VIN number which Javanese cars do not have. How to resolve it?
Message FIXD.
move to usa
My code on the back
Of it doesn't work. SAID ITS NOT VALID. Brand new from the website.
Manufacture defects do happen. Contact FIXD and they will help you get a working unit.
My FIXD is giving me a code but i scanned it at a mechanic and auto zone but there’s no code found.
Sometimes vehicles give false codes. Also FIXD maybe giving you a possible issue based off of previous codes. A lot has to do with your vehicle.
Issue Forecast looks like the only thing I care about... Assuming I give the App ALL the Data about my car will this app tell me "Time to Check/Change oil" "Replace Filter" "Top Up Power Steering" ?
Yes
@@DiaryofaFamily do you need a prescription for that
They charged my card $99.00 for the premium and I didn't ask for it. So the bank had to freeze my card. Rip off!!!
They just did this to me this morning how can I make it stop?
I was told you dont need wifi to use this tool that it works from Bluetooth
Yes it runs off the bluetooth.
Never heard of it and don't see a need If you own a newer car under warranty.
We don’t. Thank you for your opinion.
Not all.of us are willing to trade the high end of five digits of money for a quick loss by depreciation for something to get one from point a to pint b.
Its not free here at the auto store kinda but not you have to pay like 20$ but get it refunded when return guess they been stolen alot
that is one way to do it.
Will it reprogram your Immobilizer system?
no
Does this tool tell you how full your dpf is?
if your vehicle can read it then probably.
@@DiaryofaFamily, thanks for the reply. I'm currently playing email tennis with FIXD as I've recieed my unit but I can't get it to work. The blue light flashes Once but when I enter the number and search it can't find it. It's really frustrating Tried turning it off and shutting down the app etc but nothing. Any ideas.
If u really need the premium service I say just buy it when u need it then cancel it
That’s a good idea.
Does that sensor read freeze frame data?
It may. That’s not a term I’m familiar with.
Didn't see it when I was messing with the app
The premium process confuses alot of people. It needs to be more clear of an option
that is tre.
this scanner can erase fault codes?
yes
so is it okay to just plug it up and leave it plugged up
Yes
@@DiaryofaFamily thx
I fixed the code on my truck but I don’t know how erase the codes
I would re-scan the error should come back up. Then there should be a clear button on the menu after you’ve scanned that’ll allow you to clear it.
@@DiaryofaFamily ok thank you
thanks for the review.........
My pleasure
Can it clear a code after the problem found was fixed?
yes
@@DiaryofaFamily show me how. Official website says it can't when it comes to emissions but show me how other non-mission codes can be. And thank you for your reply I'm just curious how to again clear codes that are not emission affected
Hello, can I register my car and perhaps a second car On same registered name?
you can use multiple cars on the same reader.
Got one it dont work
You can Email FIXD and see if they have any ideas. There could be a few reasons it doesn’t work. Your cars OBD port may be damaged, your phone isnt up to date or the FIXD dongle is defected. All of those would contribute. But contact FIXD. fixd.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Very informative clip thanks. Why does not fixed works on older and not in newer cars i wonder?
It’s because the OBD II system wasn’t required until 1996
It is so annoying that during using this device, they always want you to buy the premium subscription and also $70 a year is too much. I was watching this video and wondered if you have kind affiliation with Fixd. By the way if you try in their website you can buy this device for $19 instead of $59.
I plugged mine in and started driving in my moms car to test the speedometer thing just to see it. After maybe 5 minuets of driving the check engine light came on and said that there was 4 misfires along but the car felt the same. I'm not sure if its a true issue because I cleared it twice. Who knows.
There could be something wrong with the computer. This really only reads the codes that the vehicle sends out.
@@DiaryofaFamily Took it to a friend today. Apparently i just had coincidentally plugged it in at the right time.
