The woman was excessively stressing over the quantity of food. St. John of Shanghai was telling her that, rather than stressing, she should pray and trust in the Lord. He showed this to her by doing it himself, making prostrations is a form or part of prayer where we put our hands, knees, and foreheads to the floor. I recommend doing more research into it, however; my interpretation may be misinformed.
