      Don't trust this. Let me give you an example of why these zealots don't want you reading God's word. Research what I say for yourself. Search orthodox Jesus and look at the pictures. Like catholicism, they depict a fair skinned, long hair Jesus.
      Corinthians 11:14
      Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him,
      but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
      So ask yourself, would the Son of God Christ Jesus have long hair?
      Why don't they depict him as described in revelation, with hair like wool, skin like bronze in a furnace, and eyes like fire?
      Because they are deceivers who want you to accept the false Jesus who looks like their effeminate depiction, is my guess.
      Another Bible verse says there is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus.

    Hey, very interesting. I too am in the process of making a similar video on this topic. I was raised Baptist, and I always senced discontinuity. My background as a 'data guy' has shown me that context matters, and to validate my 'mental schema' with those of the same time and place. Upon reading the church fathers, it has quickly shown me that protestantism is a heresy.
    Thinking of the rebuke of Peter by Jesus, Peter was well intentioned, yet was diabolical in position.
    Over time data does not get better, cleaner, or earn more utility. So, this implies St Irenaus has a better understanding than Martin Luther.

      Can it be that tradition and the Bible contradict?
      I think so.
      Heb 4:12: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

  • @djpodesta
    @djpodesta 3 месяца назад +2

    Interesting presentation. The presenter has raised some valid points about Protestantism’s use of Sola Scriptura, but fails to realise that Orthodoxy has its own flaws and selective observations of Church History prior to Orthodoxy winning the day because of the statehood of the Roman Emperors.
    All tradition ultimately stems from the interpretation of Scripture and there were many traditions during the first 2+ centuries that were ultimately rejected as heresy as Orthodox believers interpreted the Scriptures and came to a consensus based on the social influences of their day.
    The Orthodox made use of a form of Sola Scriptura to analytically draw out their conclusions then; just as the Protestants and Reformers do now.
    All both interpret some things correctly and some things that are wedded to their contemporary social influences, believing that they were then and are now, guided by the Holy Spirit.
    The funny thing is that everybody in Christendom thinks that everybody else is arrogant and wrong, and everybody arrogantly assumes their own correctness.
    Nothing has changed since the beginning. The fighting between Origen and Epiphanius of Salamis has been a mark of Christianity throughout the ages.
    Christ’s Church resides within all branches of Institutional Christianity.

    • @holyresurrectionofchrist
      @holyresurrectionofchrist  3 месяца назад +4

      That’s what the branch theory, which was invented by the Protestants claims. But the Orthodox Church rejects it as a heresy because it supposes that none of the Christian dominations have the full Truth but parts of it as well as some Truth in all of them. This is very dangerous because supposes that Christ did not established One Church but many which contradicts His own words.
      That’s ecumenism par-exelance and is a wrong (heretical) understanding

God may allow error during a season to reach a higher understanding. Or perhaps we need to be humbled. Following verse corresponds to my claim.

      @@user-ep5id4zj8s crying for your loved one and praying for comfort in distress is not the same as praying FOR the saints to intervene and the literal act of worship you bestow upon them. Missing your dead relative isnt worship. This was a very low IQ comparison you made

      Because every Protestant interprets the Scripture as they want. That's why there are more then 40.000 different denominations which is absurd

      @holyresurrectionofchrist the number is closer to 6 gorillalian different sects. This talking point is old and tired. Everyone is free to interpret the scriptures how they want, but they can be wrong, obviously. It's not our job to make anyone believe, it is our job to deliver the truth. People aren't as stupid as you think.
