In the Crop-Grassland-woods-Bushes ecosystem of india, specially around dusk , the Tigers orange hue and stripes just blends in perfectly that they almost become invisible. and it’s across a whole bunch of differing habitats , like the SunderBans, Panna, Ranthambore , etc , even at the foothills of the Himalayas . That coloration and striation just gives them amazing diversity of camouflage across a vast number of terrains . Look at the Siberian tiger for example, that coloration can even help it blend even in the snowy Taiga forests of Siberia. Natures perfect killing Design, the Tiger

After watching big cats on TV for decades, I thought I grasped their size. Then I went to the cat zoo in Canada and stood about 8 feet away from a lion. Before I stopped I could FEEL it's breathing resonating in my chest. It was a deep rumble. I felt both awe and fear at the same time. Then I looked down at his paw and was shocked at how HUGE it was. Bigger than my head. Something about seeing the paw made me grasp their size far better than decades of watching them on TV. I have a house cat as many of us do. Anyone who loves and plays with their house cat knows that they can sometimes get overexcited and get rough. A house cat can so some damage - nothing major, but you will bleed. Now imagine something 50x bigger. Every time I play with my cat, I think about those big cats at that zoo. How BEAUTIFUL they in person and how awesome they are in the literal meaning of the word, not the slang. Simply an awesome creature.

Before most people can get their associate's degree Iron Mike was Heavyweight Champion of the World. What else is there to do after that but spend money and chase your personal interests?
People, me included will never understand what Tyson went trough and where he was at one point of his life. This guy literally and I kid you not was the the biggest star and probably the most known human on earth for a certain time in his early 20s. That’s mind boggling. The fame; the money, the name, the status. To handle that, it would destroy a lot of us.
THe most known human on earth in contemporary history can only go to Michael jackson, in fact there is a video about mike tyson telling the story of when he met michael jackson, and he said he had to introduce himself to MJ. He said he thought he was a big deal until he met MJ :)

@@JustinL614 He’s definitely wise. You don’t go through the hardships he went through, survive and then not have wisdom to share. Just because you cant relate from your comfy white suburban home, doesn’t mean he hasn’t got wisdom
The smile is back on Tysons face. I remember that interview when he was training for the fight. There was an intensity there that isn't here anymore. Joe is actually wrong about his "staring into a domesticated dog's eyes" theory. This statement is true for wild animals. However, domesticated dogs have developed the ability to read human facial expressions and are actually very good about communication with their eyes and facial expressions. If your dog is scared to look you in the eyes its because he is practicing avoidance for some reason. Meaning, you have created some kind of situation where the dog thinks he is supposed to be avoiding you. Consequently, if you avoid staring back at a dog, then they might think you are fearful of them and they could be emboldened or empowered. This a common myth that's been debunked decades ago. It's not so much the eye contact but the energy behind it gaze. Ask yourself what kind of energy you're putting out with your gaze. If you have a calm peaceful soul you can look any dog in the eyes.
Joe would NEVER just blather on about something he has zero knowledge of. Oh wait, that's his entire shtick, huh? Cuz we all know it sure isn't his joke writing ability. Or delivery. Or charisma. I'd rather have bamboo shoots jammed up my urethra than have to sit thru a Rogan comedy special. That's a brutal 90 minutes.
Have him on the show more we all love Mike Tyson I’m sure you would be more popular with him on more. Such an inspiration to see a full recovery in such a kind hearted soul. Thank you mike and joe.
Dogs and humans actually communicate positive emotion, while looking into there owners eyes, like we do, the connection. They rarely ever find it challenging unless it's a aggressive dog. Or a wild canine, not domesticated dogs.
I remember meeting Mike when I was a security officer at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in the summer of 2006. It was about 5:30 or so in the morning and we got a call that some drunk was harrassing him in the main valet area out front of the casino while trying to leave with his driver. All of us security that rushed out were waved by Tyson's bodyguard/driver to stay back, that Mike was handling it. The next thing we knew Mike hugged the guy and said something in his ear, then they drove away.

Mike was and is pure talent. He gave so much praise to Cus D'Amato because Cus always steered him on the right path. He kept Mike away from the sharks like Don King until he passed away. Cus would never have let Mike do cocaine like King did. If you don't believe me, look it up on YT where Mike admits doing coke on a plane ride with King. He also sued King for 100 million that King had stolen from him over time. But through all the trials and difficulties that Mike went through, he fought just as hard as he did in the ring to overcome those obstacles in life to be the man he is today; and to this day is my favorite boxer of all time.
Animals see through varying degrees of the light spectrum and processes it differently. Tigers actually blend into their natural habitat quite well from the visual prospective of their prey.
And an example of this is that African invasive species in India or when tigers rarely escape zoos scientist have noticed that the animals co evolved with tigers are much better at spotting them
they blend in well with their environment even to human eyes, their stripes mimic shadows you wouldn't really see it if it's being stealthy in the places it's adapted for

Man! I could listen all day to Mike Tyson! There's something so genuine, direct and heart to heart about him, and he's one of those rare guys who have known/know what real hardship and suffering are and have overcome more than their fair share because they have the psychological tools to do so, possess immense resilience & a huge heart and have had the necessary support from people close to them at key moments in life.
I'd love to meet him but I live far away and I wouldn't dream of bothering the guy in his everyday life!
He goes to events though a guy I know has a picture with him shaking hands at some event I'd give him a hug if he let me.

I’ve grown up watching Mike Tyson and it’s truly amazing how much this man has evolved mentally, spiritually, philosophically, and socially.. But he is still a killer so don’t cross that line. It’s like the old saying goes: “it’s better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war”
I agree
You should get that tattooed on your lower back.
Mike is a renaissance man wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. Such a fascinating dude.
His childhood is one of the most f*cked up things you could ever really imagine in the Western world. I'd like to think that the man has found some sort of peace. In whatever weird way he can find peace now.
and ecpert in pilosophy and warfare
Something about his love for tigers is heart warming

I have never seen a more real and authentic version of Mike Tyson. That's what Joe Rogan brings out of people. Joe just has that nature about him where he brings out the friendship in people. Just wild.
Listening to Mike Tyson talking about the difference between tigers and lions had me snort laughing for five minutes solid. Gold.
Joe and Mike talking about young Mike Tyson all along

Another classic Rogan clip. Been a few great ones lately. Listening to Mike Tyson tell us about a tiger fighting an alligator lmao you can't make this stuff up. I gotta watch the cast, I hope he talks about ancient military history again the man is well versed on it.
U good?
If you're interested in cat-on-gator encounters, jaguars hunt crocodilians regularly. They kill them by biting through the skull. There's some footage here on YT showing a jaguar hunt a cayman and then drag it up a steep riverbank with ease.

What a legend. Iron mike is so humble and he seems so chill to hangout with. Definitely on my bucket list to meet my favorite champ growing up and always will be🥇👑🙏
If you knew the old mike to now mike. You would know. All the dmt he’s taken has made him a humble guy and appreciates life and his kids. Do some research on it. You’ll see. We’re all human and make mistakes. Just glad he turned it all around

My mom was holding their new puppy when one of their farm cats decided it (the puppy) needed to die...house cats can do serious damage.
A big cat will quite literally tear you to shreds
a 12lb cat will fuck some shit up now imagine one that weighs 400+lbs lol
No way your house cat injures you dog are you 12?
If my 8 month old tabby kitten was the size of a tiger I think I’d pretty much be living with a tiger and I’d probably have been to the hospital already about 4 or 5 times
Mike Tyson despite his flaws is an amazing person and an amazing athlete, I still have the Sports Illustrated issue where he punched a hole through the wall of a gym when he missed the heavy bag. He has had quite a career postboxing from TV shows and podcasts. It’s amazing to hear Joe talk with him and you find out if there’s more than just some heavy-handed knucklehead behind who is Mike Tyson. Joe please have Mike Tyson on more episodes very interesting human being

Bit of a reallife anti hero.
It's actually not that hard to punch through sheetrock.

The more and more Mike goes on interviews and just socializing in general, you can see how comfortable and open he is!! 🙌🙌😎😎

Welcome back Tyson, interested to see if he scares Joe again in this podcast!
The smile is back on Tysons face. I remember that interview when he was training for the fight. There was an intensity there that isn't here anymore. Mike Tyson has me on the edge of my seat listening to every word. He's really awesome
It’s true for cats tho
And you ain’t been around a Chihuahua huh?
I look my dog in the eyes and 99% she's happy and does nothing. If she pissed on the floor she will avoid me.

Joe would NEVER just blather on about something he has zero knowledge of. Oh wait, that's his entire shtick, huh? Cuz we all know it sure isn't his joke writing ability. Or delivery. Or charisma. Dogs and humans actually communicate positive emotion, while looking into there owners eyes, like we do, the connection. They rarely ever find it challenging unless it's a aggressive dog. Or a wild canine, not domesticated dogs.
You got to be a true alpha to own a Tiger. Tyson is a crazy guy lmao.

Ah yes didn’t think of that
And an example of this is that African invasive species in India or when tigers rarely escape zoos scientist have noticed that the animals co evolved with tigers are much better at spotting them
they blend in well with their environment even to human eyes, their stripes mimic shadows
