I think Marianela owns this variation. I'm not the biggest fan of her but out of all the dancers I've seen doing this variation, she's the only who can dance it with clarity in technique while also giving off that femme fatale look. She's not dancing as Gamzatti, *she is Gamzatti.*

She's my fave with Osipova but between these two and the others I've seen in this variation Nela is the clear winner. As you said femme Fatale. She's the only one dancing it with passion. Her Gamzatti WANTS. Almost desperately
While remaining regal to the end of course but still. It's so crystal clear. The embodiment of technique allowing you the freedom to interpret feel incarnate a role
Not only this variation of Gamzatti, but also the one of The pas de Action is perfect equally. Her execution is one of the best in the history of ballet
Love this performance but I also adore the version with Darcy Bussell. Her long limbs create such beautiful lines in this variation.
@@claireguillon7596 Yes, Nela is the perfect femme fatale Gamzatti. However, Osipova dances this variation as a broken-hearted, rejected Gamzatti, trying desperately to win back the attention and affection of Solor. Both equally wonderful, completely different interpretations.
Dancers are marvelous and divine creatures, and some a very fine, and some are some even finer ... but THERE ARE A FEW WHOM I BELIEVE WERE BORN TO JOIN THE "BALLET ART FORM" ... they have a gift and a spirit that others do not have, and WHY, OH I WISH I KNEW WHY ... BUT SOMETHING TELLS ME THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TOUCH BY THE HAND OF GOD ... AND I BELIEVE GOD'S HAND TOUCHED NELA NUNEZ THE DAY SHE CAME INTO THIS WORLD !!! SHE IS BREATHINGLY MARVELOUS HERE, PERFORMING THE GAMZATTI TEMPLE VARIATION !!!
Wow doesnt look like Marienela!! Thats why she is the best of the best.. because she can take on any role and totally own it!! So versatile and her technique is faultless. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏

She should be honored with the Nobel prize in dance
Dance, especially ballet does not got the recognition it deserves. Ballerinas are paid less than the "video girls" that shake their butts in rap music videos. Even the competition tv shows hardly showcase ballet. Its a tragedy!! Pro ballerinas even the primas make such little money and their careers can be so short. I gave up my dream to go to College. Quitting dance was the hardest regret.
But theres always time to take class, even if I havent worn a pointe shoe in years...

I'm surprised you say that, for me the red silky fabrics make the dance so sensual, and goes perfect with the role.
