What is this music, it's not Minkus and I have never seen it in any other Bayadere, rather strange to add a new music to a classical ballet.

I'm not loving the dull lighting, you can barely see the corps and Vadim just fades into the background :( I am going to Covent Garden to see this tomorrow and am a bit nervous as to whether I'll like this new version :/

But it seems to me she commands and rejuvenates these ‘set pieces’ not by ‘performing’ but by filling the form of each beat with her self-imagination, sensation, breath, extension, tension, release-she’s riveting.
