Goosebumps. Truly an artist, for whom technique is the springboard for exploration. I haven’t seen her live. But it seems to me she commands and rejuvenates these ‘set pieces’ not by ‘performing’ but by filling the form of each beat with her self-imagination, sensation, breath, extension, tension, release-she’s riveting.

I think Marianela is just the best dancer at the royal opera or probably in the wohle world because she can interpret such different characters in such a perfect way....I mean, she goes from Kitri to Nikya so perfectly
