Osipova embodies the character of Nikiya. Her movement was a vehicle for portraying the personality of the character, not merely to exemplify her long lines. The other two did not convince me of any specific person or defined character role, just elegant execution of moves. But Osipova wins this one.
Okay they were ALL great performances but Osipova's performance made me feel things. Her whole body was WAILING in pain and anguish. She was so distraught she could hardly control herself. Zakharova is a statue, she has the better lines, precision and extension. But Osipova is an actress, she throws her character's emotion to the audience, every single movements is full of emotion, so her interpretation makes lighter her dance, all seems more natural from her. Maybe Zakharova is the best product of russian's ballet in terms of body and lines (tall, skinny, ethereal), but Osipova reaches better the target of Art (face, gestures and energy)... the Osipova dance is warm, smooth, makes you relize how much emotions feel the character; her dance is the expression of human feelings.

I think out of the three I like Natalia's interpretation the best. The reason is that here is more dramatic rather than that of a damsel in need of rescue.
i just like how osipova shows emotions. The other ballerinas really fail to portray the despair and frustration. osipova always. Although i have to say this is not my favourite show of her. Her performance in 2008 was better.
Really interesting tweak (or else I've just been inattentive) that Magdayeva is handing the Brahmin the antidote before Nikiya ever receives the flower basket. So this collection scores for showing different elements of production as well as three glorious Nikiyas. I've always preferred Makarova's music and staging for the flower basket dance, although I know it's not in the original production or any production derived from it. There's something so tender about the way Nunez approaches the action there. And I love the absolutely murderous "You!" she flings at Osipova, who is also a great Gamzatti. Thanks for putting together this great compilation. Nunez's phrasing and musicality will always speak louder to me than Zakharova and Osipova, but they're all fabulous!
@@observer1111 Sorry, her production incorporated some music by John Lanchberry in the flower basket dance and in the last act, where she choreographed a knockout variation for Gamzatti and a pas de quatre with Gamzattie, Solor, Nikiya's shade, and the rajah. I could have phrased that better.
@@minissa2009 Oh, I never knew that! I know John Lanchberry had rearranged a lot of the original Minkus score for Bayadere (“to give it a more Delibes feeling,” he once was heard to say), but I didn’t know he had added his own original compositions for some of the variations Makarova choreographed.

Okay, okay, okay… You twisted my arm hard enough. You have now made me a fan of ballet! With watching Osipova, just👏! Thank you for posting these ☺️
Oh, and I subscribed 😉
Great, such a good news 🥰 thank you!
@@DanceLineBallet Thank you too!
God creates a woman destined for divine expression, and she trains sacrifices bleeds for years to become this artist, then she pours everything into a musical, balletic masterpiece, we can only watch in tearful awe.
Thank you so much 🥰❤️
the first girl did amazing she showed so much emotions when she got bit by the snake and she was so graceful
They are all beautiful and perfect, but Osipova made me cry, she just made it so sad and tragic!
Osipova ..osipova....the best
Tutte Bravissime, Magnifiche ma Svetlana per me é Sublime
Come darti torto 🥰
Son exquisitas!!!!!! Admirables!!! Desde Argentina. Abrazos!!!
I was waiting for this 😍 so tragic ✨
Nunez is the Dancer Dancer....she is what we inspire to portray grace and strength.
Really wonderful. This dance reaches almost the level of an Indian Odissy dance in which the Divine Krishna I adored.
There is something to saving the very best for last! You want to leave every performance with that happy way down deep feeling and Nela the belle of them all gives you that and much much more...always! You just can't follow her, better always to go first then watch perfection in motion and learn how it's supposed to be done!
Incredible Natalia!!
Moc krásný zhled krása člověku který má něžně tělo a ruče to všechno něžnost úžas cit super vijadrit se
I think out of the three I like Natalia's interpretation the best. The reason is that here is more dramatic rather than that of a damsel in need of rescue.
This is a BEAUTIFUL ballet I’ve watched it on PBS when I was young and loved it then as well‼️🥰
The first version ❤
All of these are amazing but Nuñez's confrontation with Gamzatti for that one split second made hers the best for me
This is my FAV ❣️
i just like how osipova shows emotions. The other ballerinas really fail to portray the despair and frustration. osipova always. Although i have to say this is not my favourite show of her. Her performance in 2008 was better.
Agree, 2008 was mach more intense. Nevertheless also here she was the stronger actor to transmit emotions.
Zacarova as Nikiya, Osipova Gatmazi, ❤️❤️❤️
Sono tre splendide ETOILE!!!! Meravigliose, espressive e tecnica superlativa!!!
in this variantion zakharova's lines and technique shines
Marinela Nunez makes me crying, so intense!!!
Meraviglioso.
Grazie.
L'importante è che ti abbiano trasmesso 😊🙏❤️
Excuse me, maybe Google translated badly? You wrote - "Makarova's music" ??))) But the music of Minkus!?) Explain !?
