It was great seeing him get so emotional talking about getting called up to England, half of the players these days would only cry if they didn't receive their wages... what a legend!

Can’t stand Russel brand but full respect for comforting gazza when he was choking up

05:02-05:07 when Gazza says: "I felt a bit lonely" and Russell's immediate reaction is to reach out to comfort him. Then Russell withdraws his hand, recognising that it's better to speak with compassionate words than to show his empathy physically. I felt such a pang... this moment will always be ingrained in my memory. God bless both of you, Gazza and Russell.

Ó Braonáin although I don't follow football, I know what Gazza went through in his personal life. It was good to see him smiling and joking... Really uplifting!
Football is kind of a religion, a sort of a replacement for a dogmatic God in secular society. It's what we make of [insert a belief system here] that matters.

Gazza is a 'living' legend. He was simply brilliant. 2 footed football genius. He inspired so many children watching him play at Spurs, and doing wembley soccer skills tv programme etc! He scored so many amazing goals which I was fortunate to see. 1991 FA Cup Semi Final 35 yard free kick vs Arsenal is hard to beat!

Don't care what anyone says about gazza !!!..Hes a true gent and was prob the best English footballer I've seen and I'm 38 now, also being an Evertonian had the dream come true of Watching him play for my beloved blues against Newcastle at Goodison 2002 I think we drew 1-1 and he came on last 10 mins in which we were 1 down with 5 to play and awarded a pen in which Gazza and Unssy were almost arguing who was gonna take it , Unfortunately for Gazza it was unsworth who stepped up but Fortunately for us converted it and saving a point for the mighty Efc!!!...Thanks for the years Gazza👌👍

Gazza, for me the most gifted English footballer of all time, the free kick v the Scum, the cruyff, the cross for Platts goal v Belgium, and the best of all that goal v Scotland, there has never been a player that has even thought of what you did to Colin Hendry, Gazza, you have no idea how much Spurs will always love you.

In the modern game every youngster is coached Upto the eyeballs to be a certain type of player but the joy about Gazza was professional football was like a game in the Park, he just enjoyed himself and did what come natural to him. If it wasn't for injuries, how great a player would he have been.
It's great seeing him in form and I for one wish the best

There's a moment with Gazza which made me realise what's missing with our national team.Just the thought of playing for England makes Gazza choke on emotion. And that's what is lacking in the national team. They have no passion for the team. Its almost an inconvenience to play for England. And as for Rooney beating the goal scoring record it's a fucking joke.Bobby Charlton won the World Cup and Rooney hasn't because his goals have little impact on Englands progression in ANY competitions.Linekars golden boot from the World Cup is worth having.Rooneys goal record isn't worth the paper it's written on.

It clearly didn't mean enough to make him do everything to ensure that he was fit and able to play for England at every opportunity. His choices on and off the pitch restricted him to 57 caps over 11 years. And despite his passion, he still didn't win anything with England.
