That, sadly, is how people get on in life to his level...
Often the best team doesn't consist of the best players, as well as he's probably saying that collectively as a group of players but has played with in what in his option are better individuals from other teams who played in the same positions as all of the Everton players.
Great players of that generation, what a phneomal line up
Gary Linker is the top scorer of the 86th World Cup
As a Rangers Supporter ..To watch Butcher & especially Gazza was unbelievable....Both in there relevant positions were a mile ahead of anyone in the UK.
Not 1 foreign player. Says a lot about his era. Pretty much the England team of the 80s/early 90s.
I'm pretty sure he was meant to pick his English 11, so there clearly wasn't going to be any foreign players.
The weird part of it is he did go to Barcelona, but the side he played in was average with the exception of Zubizarreta and Schuster
Toostable ... and he did not pick Diego...
Actually, it just says a lot about Chelsea supporters, that they cant tolerate a team thats actually English.
That Barca side got to the European Cup final the season before he joined and won the Cup Winners' Cup in his final season there.
Diego? Who is Diego?
