Fun fact: a bunch of psychiatrists were asked to rank movie psycopaths for their realism. They all agreed Javier's depiction of Anton was the most realistic
I watched it then as a kid, I watch it now as an adult. I still feel Anton as this otherworldly thing. Like, he 'looks' human, but that's about it. Even then, barely looked human. Just the way he talks, he looks and his mannerisms. It feels like an otherworldly creature is 'mimicking' a human. Honestly, I don't think I'll see another character like that ever again. Javier is too unique for it.
It's called the "Prince Valiant" haircut and a lot of guys had it in the 60's in the early seventies on through the first couple|of years of the 80s... 😂 Like John Fogerty from Credence Clearwater Revival! 😊 Or Brian Jones from The Rolling Stones! 👍🏼✌🏼
I heard somewhere that this is part of his depiction as a sort of grim reaper-clothed in all black, kills with a farming tool, and hooded (the hairstyle).
This guy is probably the best actor in the world, no actor makes you hate them as much as javier does. From James Bond to no country for old men, he plays the villain like no one else.
If I had to compile a top 5 list of best movie villians of all time, Anton Chigurh would be in there. Absolutely no question at all. Javier Bardem played a complete psychopath with his own skewed moral code brilliantly.
Tenho que admitir que de longe Anton chigur foi um dos personagens mais assustadores que eu já vi e javier bardem desempenhou esse personagem brilhantemente
Interesting, the creative collaboration and inspiration that happens in making a film. Never knew of JB before this but had no hunch that he was foteign. Chilling.
Yall need to remember this was the era where people cut their own hair or had a relative do it. You saw some wild haircuts, I was rocking the chili bowl until atleast 96
I know he doesn't like the haircut, but it's kind of a blessing I think. because without that haircut he looks very different. if he had his normal hair, people would see him out on the street and be scared lol. but without it he looks like a normal guy
My dad loves and hates this film at the same time. He cannot stand the ending or the film's pacing, but he fully believes anytime Javier Bardem's character is on screen, it completely redeems any and all faults he had with the film beforehand.
The movie is fantastic. Some people think it’s boring but the more you pick up on the themes the more you appreciate it. There’s so much complexity beneath these ambiguous characters. Keep watching and analyzing. Think of the character’s mindset. Why they’re doing that. It gets so deep.
Insane that he could change his voice and accent to sound like Anton. His acting is superb.
And yet Arnold...😂
OMH HI MR.BOSS
It’s not exactly far off from his normal voice my guy 😂.
The Anton voice is literally just his normal voice at a calmer tone
Literally any good actor can change their voice or do different accents
This guy played the hell out of that part.
Call it. I said call it.

I think it’s a great idea, when a character doesn’t say much, to have a striking and memorable silhouette.
"I don't have some way to put it. That's the way it is."
--Anton Chigurh
Anton is in my opinion the scariest movie character ever, theres just this aura about him, javier did an amazing job
It‘s such an intense character I can‘t even see the actual actor as normal mentally stable person if you know what I mean, he just has that look
Fun fact: a bunch of psychiatrists were asked to rank movie psycopaths for their realism.

100 % terrifying
@@seligaprv8669 thats facts, I actually can’t look at him as a normal person

I was a senior in high school in 1979. In central Texas. 90% of the guys in my class had this exact same haircut. Including me. It’s period correct.

He's getting older. We need him to be in more movies. He's such a terrific actor. Such depth.
He’s in a solid movie called “the good boss” you should check it out if you haven’t already.
Getting older ???? How old are you ?

Such an iconic look for a movie villain. “And then all of a sudden I have this thing on my head” 😂
I love his accent. Oh my goodness. He's so good looking.
He has bug eyes

Its a perfect movie. I look at every scene and there isn't any part of any scene I would take away or change. Just 10/10. I only wish it were longer.
Probably the best film of the 2000s.

Such a hard tossup between those two!
Both were amazing.
Stop ruining it for yourself by watching shorts and just go watch it. There's a 100% chance you won't be disappointed
Javier is an enigma you can seem so kind and also seems so terrifying in his roles
What business is it of yours where I’m from, friendo?
Chilling
That entire scene is a masterclass of suspense. I really felt for the old guy.
If the rule you followed led you to this of what use was the rule Javier Bardem was cold in this movie as Anton Chigurh
At that moment the interlocutor knew he was going to be murdered...
javier aged very well man, love him
I like the interpretation that is like Death's hood that was missing on his character, that blackness smoothly surrounding the head
#1 all time psychopath 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You just impress all the world with this personality
He should be playing Doctor Doom. RDJ doesn’t have what it takes
I love this actor. He is so good in everything he does. ❤
Legendary movie!!
Iam german from eastgermany and this man is an iconic in our Land.
Best wishes from saxony germany .
He did one hell of a good job playing this character!
I heard somewhere that this is part of his depiction as a sort of grim reaper-clothed in all black, kills with a farming tool, and hooded (the hairstyle).
His natural voice is so warm and kind, and Anton's voice is how I would imagine a demon to sound
One of the best acting i've been given to see.
👏👏👏👏👏
one of the most iconic villains ever
I once heard that his hairstyle is to resemble a hood, to further sell the idea that he is death incarnate.
I really admire his charactor, a man with principles.
Whoever came up with the haircut deserved some kind of movie award. It's a great movie but the haircut puts it over the top.
I always wondered about that helmet! Thanks for clarifying that Javier!👏👍
I'm so excited to see Javier as Jose Menendez in MONSTERS Season 2 ( the same creators of DAHMER 2022 )
One of my favorite movies.
Iconic character.

That's such an iconic movie it is sad that it overshadows his career. Because I've seen him in other things and he's very good
The best villain so far

“Whatsh the mosht you ever losht in a coin tosh?“
Legend
His character gave me Mr. G vibes the way he was always after his target in a non rushed manor but always applying pressure
We need more from that character. 5
Freakin love Javier!!!
The end scene where you broke your arm and just walked off … I will never forget that. ever
My man, ❤
Antonio Chigurh. One of Hollywood’s classic bad guys.
Q: Whose idea was it for the haircut?
What he said: The Cohens
What I heard: The coin’s 🪙
What’s the most you’ve ever lost on a coin toss?

"You've been putting it up your whole life and don't even know it!"

Anton Chigurh is my favorite villain.
I need to know where his deep Aton Chigur voice went?
He should play Benjamin Netenyahu in " The 2nd Holocaust" movie
Javier your amazing actor and so handsome too 👍👍👍👍
Javier Bardem should play Doctor Doom.
It was the scariest character and scariest haircut😂❤

Javier was amazing as Dora the Explorer.

We need an Anton prequel
Supposedly its supposed to look like a cowl, so he would look like Death in silhouette
He's look like negan TWD to me😂
at first i always tought he was him playing that charachter.
He still plays Aton to this day 😂
He looks like a grown up coconut head from Ned's declassified and I love it ❤

Javier Bardem reminds me of Ricardo Montalban
Then told Penelope, hey baby!!!
If the hair cut brought you here,of what use was the hair cut?
this movie ranks number one when it comes to playing a psychopath
I know real psycho's and he did hella good on this
He should carry a air tank with him still even though thats just a character
Is this the same guy from everybody loves raymond?
I think that haircut is perfect for Anton, only a Psychopath would rock that hair style
I still believe that he is Anton Chigurh.
