I can hear vin scully for days and never get tired of his voice.
Tony brickstop
It's somewhat odd watching/listening to Dodger games this year. Even though the Boys in Blue are playing lights out this year, it just feels like something is missing. I'm only 27, but I grew up listening to Vin as I was born into a Dodger family.
Thank you for the nice comment, sir. I grew up in L.A. my entire life while listening to Vin Scully broadcast Dodger games. It's not the same not hearing his legendary voice but he'll always be embedded within the Dodger organization.
"High fly ball deep to right field she isssss goneeeee"

As a kid his voice used to irritate me, I think because I heard it every day lol... but the older I got the more I appreciated him, now I listen to him to help me sleep lol
Rest In Peace, Vin. You will be forever missed.
I love Vin Scully. He makes me want to appreciate life more.
I'm not even a Dodgers fan, I live in the midwest. But though mlb at bat, we've been able to listen to him some over the last few years. But sometimes after a long day, turning him on @ 9pm was a great way to relax.
I'm a die hard Giants fan but have the up most respect for Vin Scully and agree that he is a true icon in baseball history and will never ever be duplicated
Deep in Vin's DNA he was a Giants Fan. Should make any Giants fan proud of that!
This guy was a better human being than a broadcaster, and he was the best broadcaster there ever was. ‘Nuff said.
I wish Vin Scully was my grandpa and I'm a Nats fan!!
my grandfather came to this country and learned English from Vin. My dad grew up listening to Vin and when I was born it was almost all I knew, my dad gave me tapes for my walkman and I would listen to Vin during the off-season. it's surreal without him this year.
Vanessa C Your blessings came handed down from Vin to grandpa to you.
My grandfather did the same thing listening to the dodgers radio network.
The 🐐
I miss Vin. Although Joe and Orel are doing a great job taking over. Vin will forever be a Dodger legend and a legend in the broadcast booth
Chanchos Tacos agreed it's just not the same without vin
Vin will always be missed. Agreed joe and Orel doin pretty good, love the jokes and banter between two of them. The late great Don Drysdale was also ah gem to listen to back in the 90’s. Ah the Dodgers we have the best.
Joe and oral are terrible boot linking company shills
There’s no replacing Vin.
@@sidneygraham as an extreme Dodgers hater I no doubt agree but at least Vin is safe and sound watching Dodgers baseball upstairs wit his Sandy by his side and of course Tommy Lasorda.
There will never be another Vincent Edward Scully 🎙💙💖💔
He will be forever missed 😢 November 29, 1927 ~ August 2, 2022
The word goat gets thrown around. Vin Scully is without a doubt the Greatest Of All Time. The voice of my hometown and childhood. 😭
An honor well deserved. Congratulations on your accomplishment, Vin Scully.
Listen to Vin Scully for a full season and you'll not only have an immense knowledge of baseball history, but you'll also qualify for a degree in English Literature. He's a national treasure.
Considering what ESPN is all about now, that may be the classiest thing you'll see on that network for a very long time.
“God gave us memories, so we can have roses in December.” -🐐
Simply the greatest broadcaster the game has ever known! Class act of the highest order. God bless him!!
Pure class. They don't make them like they used to.
This is the only man who can work alone in the broadcast booth. There is no other like him.
Tru dat. His philosophy about working solo was he wanted to speak directly to the audience. And he mastered the art.
What a man
Legend. Pure class, genuine man. Stories for years. Pleasure to listen to you Vin.
You'll be missed Vin. May you rest easy in heaven
I grew up in L.A. my entire life while listening to Vin Scully broadcast Dodger games. It's not the same not hearing his legendary voice but he'll always be embedded within the Dodger organization. God Bless You, Mr. Scully!
The GOAT of baseball announcers! Also a great humble man. God always blesses the humble.
Vin scully is a legend thanks for the memories buddy
Rest In Peace, Vin.
I love that he used the James M Barrie quote “God gave us memory so that we can have roses in December” it fit this occasion perfectly.
The day he passes will be the worst day ever.😭
Yes it is
It was a very bad day
August 2, 2022.
Vin Scully = CLASS! He was never full of himself or out to get attention. . With Vin, you didn't need a t.v to " see" the game . His call painted the perfect picture.
He mastered the art of radio baseball. When he switched to strictly TV later in career it was almost a waste of his unique talent.
An Icon indeed. Well deserved.
Rest in Heaven Vin🤍🖤
What an incredible speech, a true legend
There will never be anyone in a booth who gets close to touching vin's greatness, and idc how you might feel, that's fact, period, end of story. He did what he was born to do
Vin is THE GOAT! "
Good Afternoon/Evening to wherever you may be. It's time for Dodger baseball!"
GOAT!!
Vin, stop making me cry!
This man is what America should aspire to.
pj2yyy2 underrated comment
Just pure class..We should all try to be a little more like Vin..
So refreshing to hear vin speak. Miss him calling baseball games.
Pure class
Vin Scully has been in broadcasting for longer than my father has been alive wow
*Legend.*
Greatest of all time
No matter what team you root for, you always root for Vin Scully
I was born same year Dodgers moved to LA. Typical Little kid listening to Vin on radio after lights out. ( In 60s games started at 8). He could make any game interesting with his anecdotes and mastery of the language. I'm 63 now and still smile when hearing his voice.
He's as skilled as any poet laureate ever.
Nothing better than listening to Vin broadcast a Dodger game on the radio on a cool fall evening with a bottle of suds to keep you company.
Many more years, Vin, of happiness and blessings.
Vinnie has always had that humility that adds to his being a legend.
How could you dislike this video
Wolfblood1V1 because he's a jealous clown
Must be a bunch of vagiants fans
@@alektoledo4436 sickening
I miss him already 😢😭
Amazing. We will miss your voice, Vin. Enjoy retirement!
The greatest. Thank you, Vinnie.
I have listened to Vin Scully my entire life of 60 years living in Southern California and I’ve watched so many great videos honoring the great man that my Vinny impression is getting pretty good.
There will never be anyone like Vin again. I will forever love him.
"It's time for Dodger baseball !"
We love you man. Not just dodger fans, but all of baseball. If you are a fan of baseball, you are a fan of Vin Scully.
The best!
This guy could read the dictionary and it would sound like poetry!
This man is a real treasure
Rest in peace vinny🐐
Straight, clean, clear, class. Not many like him anymore, and we are lesser for it. Thanks for everything Vin.
Timeless...
Room went quiet in aww of vin scully. He commands a room
Proud of him!
His voice is the best at game calling. 100%
The GOAT of broadcasting and the GOAT of meth making on the same stage. My dream came true
I love baseball, but it moves kinda slow when you're tweaking, lol!
It's time for Dodger Baseball
Somewhere in heaven right now Vin Scully is hanging out with The late Stuart Scott
what a gentleman
GO BLUE!!
Carlos Ruiz 😂😂👎👎
Carlos Ruiz lol LAKERS BABBIIIEE
I want to be a baseball announcer because of this man and bob eucker
Legend
Thank you Vin.
This was way well deserved
89 years young, Congrats!
*DROWNS IN UGLY TEARS*
seriously tho.
All of my respect goes to this man.
I love you Vin. Thank you
Every time I hear him I think a baseball game is going on
Glad he was honored while alive 😥
Vin could make someone who fell out of love with baseball (not that that's actually possible) trip, stumble, and fall right back into it after the first pitch
He's How old, hard to believe!
lets go dodger baseball!
Bryan Cranston awarding Vin Scully. I don't need anything else to say
While almost everyone will associate Vin Scully with the Dodgers, and rightly so, we must also not forget that he called World Series games for CBS Radio and NBC TV for many years, doing the 1984, 1986, and 1988 World Series for NBC. In addition, he did football and golf for CBS, and was the lead for CBS' coverage of the Masters from 1975-'82, and his is the voice you hear on the TV coverage of the 1981 NFC Championship Game and the famous TD pass from Montana to Clark dubbed "The Catch". Scully worked that game with Hank Stram, and worked a number of NFC playoff games in the 70s and early 80s, almost all of them involving the Dallas Cowboys, at least three of which were NFC Championship Games (1975, '77, and '81).
Scully then moved to NBC in 1983, and did baseball and golf there for seven years, and moments he called for NBC included what is, to this day, the only grand slam HR ever hit in an All-Star Game, which was hit by Fred Lynn in 1983, the legendary finishes to Game 6 of the 1986 World Series and Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, as well as Lee Trevino's ace in the 1987 Skins Game, which he was the voice of, not only at NBC, but also at ABC for a few years. And of course, the single most legendary moment of his broadcasting career was doing the second half of Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Scully called the final out of the most impossible gem of them all and was still calling no-hitters nearly SIXTY years later.
When working for NBC in 80s it pissed me off because he missed all Fri Sat and Sunday Dodger games, lol! I mean Jerry Dogget was ok, but it just wasn't the same.
Vin Scully, Vin Diesel, Vin Baker, or your car Vin. which one will remember?
I REMEMBER LISTENING TO THE LA DODGERS RADIO NETWORK FROM 2002-2016.
What a Legend!
damn just the best
tears, tears, tears
The best to ever do it
Truly the 🐐
This man can make the most dumbest story sound so amazing. This man is Gold.
Hes the best ever he is Los Angeles
Who dislikes this? Grow up.
This is the REAL GOAT
In original story Vin tells he says he was walking by a Chinese laundry, but now on ESPN he feels the need to self censor himself when there is absolutely no reason to.
I sure miss Vin Scully.
The day we lose Vin Scully is the day a part of baseball dies
The most recognizable face in radio
wonderful speech. great guy. hope he has a great long retirement.
