Interesting fact about Operation Mincemeat: in a 1956 film made about it, The Man Who Never Was, Montagu did not play himself but instead plays the role of an Admiral who initially rejects the idea of Mincemeat from the actor playing Montagu and berates him for the idea.

Idk if it gets mentioned later, but they also went out of their way to make the Spanish hesitant to perform an autopsy by using his pocket litter to imply he was a Roman Catholic, a religion shared by most of Spain at that time that specifically banned autopsies as a form of corpse mutilation. So it wasn't just a nat 20 on a charisma check, they already didn't want to do the autopsy anyway.

Oh, Wales! My time to shine!
Glyndwr is the name of a old hero who wanted the Welsh to be free from the English, since the world was ending in 1400. Allegedly. More importantly, your pronunciation is rather close! Glyn is spot on! dwr, or water in Welsh, is a bit off. the W sound in welsh is like the oooh noise someone would say when in awe of something.
As for the town name, Aberbargoed, it's also sorta close. I'll split is up. Aber, meaning the spot where the river meets the sea. Pronounced correctly. Bar, which... shares the English word, so don't worry! and coed, which means trees. Think of it like... the OI sound when a copper says "OI,OI,OI". A-ber-bar- g-OI-d. Hope this helps!
Dear god I hope that I don't come off as pretentious. I just love my language a bit much, sorry.

St Pancras, as in the hospital mentioned, was the 14 year-old son of a rich Roman in the 300's. He converted to Christianity and wouldn't renounce his faith, so he was beheaded by the authorities. He's the Patron Saint of children.

My Grandad on my Dads side was in the Big Red 1. He enlisted after Pearl Harbor as a Sergent and his first tour was in the North African campaign. He took part in the invasion of Sicily, and by the time D-Day came around he'd gotten a commission. By the time of the Battle of the Bulge he'd made Captain where he earned his highest accolades and ended up back state side selling war bonds and recruiting for the rest of his contract.

Bricky / DK, keep in mind, with all the silly puns and descriptions, this was also the era of the British "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" (ie. the Special Operations Executive) that also counted Christopher Lee as its members.

For anyone curious, there was a fantastic movie on Operation Mincemeat that came out last year! Literally called Operation Mincemeat. Goes more into detail on just how much effort they put into making this believable. Would reccomended

Something rarely known that Operation Mincemeat helped: in 1944, the British did the same thing, this time putting the real D-Day landing plans on the body, knowing full well that the German reaction would be “I’m not falling for this shit again”, thus helping Operation Fortitude.
