I think the setup to D-Day could also be another good topic to touch on, since there was also a massive deception campaign there, similar to Mincemeat in purpose but ludicrously larger in scale.

I think laser pig put it best when it came to British in World War 2. They were so pressed down to the line that they literally decided to Chuck everything including the kitchen sink trying to see what would work essentially taking what he called the path of Wallace and grommet. No matter how Absurd or insane the idea was they were more than willing to give ita go. Also it was a wonderful act of kindness on all sides That the man was buried with the full military honors of a major within the British military and was given All of The proper rites.
