My placement matches:
M1: 3 bots other team, 1 bot my team
M2: Two throw picks, both left the game.
M3: 4 bots my team, 1 bot other team.
M4: a decent enough game until the other teams tank crashed at the end.
M5: two throw picks but one was a genuine new player so we just tried to teach him and took the L.
Was placed low gold (every other split I've played this season was mid-high plat out of qualifiers.
10/10 ranked experience.
Of course it always is like that
I play exclusively casual, 4 out of 5 of my matches will have a bot
I will never play ranked in a game that doesn't actively punish/discourage afk

@@Veztai Considering I've been in plat before and my placement games consist of there either being a Raum solo tank, focusing lens solo support or inting Skye players - I think maybe it's not entirely my own fault here

What's worse is when the game gives first pick to onetricks or newbies who haven't even unlocked every character.
So they just pick whatever they play and ban any counters they have which ofcourse leaves enemy team to freely pick meta champs
Couldn’t climb out of plat last split, now I doubt I’ll climb out of gold. Casuals has a case of stupids, but ranked stupids are even more idiotic
Easy to see how someone gets Bronze when you see how your opponents picked their team.
conversations like this about raum are so interesting to me, like scorch Fernando being the better pick talk in the same stream, because a year ago when i started playing, scorch was considered a throw pick and raum was a really decent pick. and these characters have remained basically unchanged (other than raum's small heal nerf) and it's been the changes that happened to other tanks that have made them shift like this. it's just very interesting to me to analyze this.
Well, that's only partially true. Yes, other characters have changed more and that's caused the meta to shift, but they did still get a lot of cumulative changes. Raum less so (apart from Subservience taking a heavy blow), but Fernando got like 15 nerfs to Aegis over the life span of the current talent's implementation. It went from hard meta to an overrated talent that people pick out of tradition, and because it's still the easiest talent to play.
I have an idea for a raum buff. Give him cooldown reduction on his running ability when it gets interrupted into his base kit.
That's how you know ranked match making is so broken right now! Happens in my lobbies far too often 🙃
Raum buff: juggernaut talent includes cc immunity.
Heal talent includes more self sustain and reward for healing
Ult talent: activate it at 50% like Barrick's ult talent with a stun that doesn't last as long.
60% faster ult rate + only ½ cost?? You must be joking. Do you want people spamming his ult every 30 seconds??

Respect the bronze ranked community please. Theres people that just arent tbat good but still want the thrill of playing ranked. My girlfriend is one of them and I respect it
Hirez urgently needs to return to the old ranked system, at least it would be more rewarding for those who decide to play competitively, in addition to raising the rank of the character you play best, and rewarding those who help the team, instead of just counting victories or defeats. 😐
What was the old system?
@@zigzagintrusion In short, the old rank system was per champion, you could become a master with your favorite champion without depending too much on the team.
I went duo ranked with a friend, after finishing our 5 qualifying matches I got Gold II and he got Bronze IV... after playing the exact same matches. He certainly isn't the best, but ranks and matchmaking in this game are truly a mystery to me. 2 days ago I finished my 5 qualifying matches and despite winning 4 out of 5 and performing very well in all of them (only lost the last one because the enemy had cheaters, which I confirmed with the replay feature) I ended up gold IV.

Ive been getting into this game just 3 weeks ago. Came from OW2. I love this game even though i suck. Alot of stuff to learn. Not joining ranked yet, idk how to even play ranked lol
Thats why I don't play ranked anymore, the matchmaking is horrible and you get someone who leaves the lobby every other match

I've recently ranked bronze 2 times. Each placement i had afks/troll picks who fed. I also fell from gold to bronze too recently. Same reason. We lose a teamfight and boom, 2 afks.
This happened to me recently where I got queued in a masters game as a plat player and and we got demolished (I played Grover)

Hey Andrew, can we make a suggestion of actually punishing a player for giving up 10 secs 20 secs 1 minute in to the the game. Enforce the AFKs. Atleast that, in rank. So frustrating for us people trying our hardest to fill
Yesterday played 5 games.. 2 games norm, 1 game got a troll in a team, 2 games got afk-leavers. Very Good.
my ranked games actually go 10x better than my casuals. cause ill at least play ranked against people closer to my skill, but casuals in always fighting 5 stacks of gms
My friend and I played ranked for the first time a few days ago and our placements were so up and down. Either had plat level teammates or straight silver. Ended up placing gold IV
same bro just had to first pick andro and carry my games to d4
I gave up ranking after reaching to platinum 2. Too much troll, dc or new players falls into team. Pushing after that without 5 stack team is very hard unless you are a pro who can solo carry and that I'm not because I'm a team player.

Nah i shit you not, took a big break last split cause i got a game with my duo and all 3 of my teammates were fresh installs. Enemy team had a GM duo and all diamonds. Was total bs
I try to play raum, but... yeah, he's not good or all that fun. ultimately, he's kind of vulnerable with minimal shields and anti-healing his self sustain becomes negligible. i dont know how to really buff raum (reasonably/without being broken) beyond maybe buffing his shield/health cards and/or making the healing raum gets from the souls be immune to anti-healing or maybe reduce the number of shots it takes to proc the soul (its six shots right now, maybe drop it to 5 or 4)
Just make a portion of his self sustain immune to antiheal or make his fragments be immune if thats not enough but he'd be broken then tbh so option 1 sounds good to me.
This is one of the big reasons why you don't want to solo q for comp. I main flank and I'm not really willing to play anything else for comp for I feel i would just hinder my team and myself. I rather play something I i'm good at rather than sacrifice and lose the match anyway. I will have at least 2 others I can take with me to fill in the gaps with one of them being a flex/support main generally and a DMG main who also has a decent Ruckus. It's hard to do but I advice finding people to q ranked with so you will have an easier experience and the best chance of picking your best characters
Yeah this kind of thought process will kill you more than if you just solo queue in rank. Its much better to learn how to flex as a solo participant.
@@deadwalke9588 Totally agree. I think you should be able to play at least 2 classes, but really, playing all 4 is being considerate, and helps to understand the game.
Escaping vronze fest pool is tough. One day i got then got pulled back in from back teammates. Help me!!
Paladins has no rank play list....it takes damn near 7 minutes to find a rank game
Azaan is not even that bad for a Bronze with 3:3 and 30K damage.
I'm stuck in Silver 1... All of the games I play are extremely unbalanced.
why does raum even need a buff? he's an 51% winrate. if anything, he's almost perfectly balanced, according to stats, just underpicked
i am an average paladins player man i came back after 2 years my best was platinum 1 close to diamond. But after 2 days of gameplay i said lets try ranked but the teams are trash bots and so on i did lose all 5 matches and got into bronze 4 xD :)) and i cant even know how the matchmaker can be that bad. I have to carry my team and still lose.
On my smurf account i only use to play with my gf(she is lvl40) i found a Lot but a Lot of people above lvl 700, levels as big i found on my almost 800 main acc
my main account is masters or well was last split, my alt account to practice characters ive never played is bronze. really made me laugh my ass off, im using my alt to learn characters like Evie, sha lin, atlas, vatu. characters all under level 10 on my main. my win rate on these characters is dumpster fire atm

Everything was fine ... till the crossplay change.
After playing with the best players i quit ranked like I'm plat and my enemies are 5 masters also my team has 2 masters and 2 diamonds how is that fair
There is a lot of cheaters in paladins.
Don't get why even played ranked? It just not worth it, especially the playerbase is so tiny and majority don't play ranked anyway.
Paladins is such a pile of trash. Allowing people to do troll comps with no frontline is one thing that'll always make Overwatch the better game
yea but if paladinds does the same with choosing your role before the queue. you'd have to wait years for 1 match..

Me and friend ended up in bronze when we were matchmaking, we won 4 out of 5 games. Im acc level 107 and my friend is 127, we both used our mains aswell. Io level 55 for me and Maeve level 56 for my friend. This was last patch aswell
I literally could get in a match against Uberspady and z1 and the next game get a meave main who only knows how to insult and leaves the moment we lose the first point, ranked is amazing.

Yesterday i had a hacker damba in my team who would stun the enemy and insta kill him, it was ridiculous. And he got 67 kills 😂. IN RANKED!
Rankdes were weird since i remember, i started playing the game from beta, but my first rankeds were in season 2, after 5th game i was silver 1 (ended up in plat 1, but that doesnt matter), the very next game i was in one team with Kreepers, who was in Master at that point.
I saw in chat that moji needs buffed, and she absolutely does NOT need buffed, nor does she need a smaller hit box. She's already a monster as it is.
She's only viable in brightmarsh and that is if the enemy doesn't have andro/drogoz
Option to cancel her counter before it ends would be cool atleast

Had a game yesterday where my team double support trolled. The enemy stoped capping and 3 of them went on 120 kill streaks will I emoted in spawn. Paladins is great
Wtf is up with people clicking esc and quit every game its getting out of hands
