The OW community doesn't understand that the Paladins devs start working on each champion 6 months before release and they still often have annoying bugs that have a huge impact on the gameplay.
You used to be able to hold both m1 and m2 on moji for high dps but now you have to wait a little before left clicking when marking someone to get the most dmg
@@thamontine Moji fires every 0,7 sec while applying one mark every 0,08 sec If you were to hold down both m1 and m2 you would hit enemies at around 8-9 marks wich can deal from 509-652 dmg But if you were to wait around 0,1 sec for the tenth mark to apply than your shot would deal 1000 dmg So for just around 0,1 sec of waiting you can get an around 350 or even a 500 dmg increase. Obviously Moji isn't as straight forward as many think as there are situations where you would want to detonate the mark early like finishing an enemy below 650 hp or trying to destroy a barrier or deployable
actually something interesting about that cage fight ultimate; in paladins' closed beta buck used to have an ultimate called "imprisonment" that created a giant ring of rock around wherever he casted it, trapping enemies, and giving him 50% damage reduction while inside the ring. if you go on the fan wiki and look up bucks removed content you can find a linked youtube video showcasing it! anyway, really nice video!
A dome that locks people pretty much was a Paladins ability early on the games life. Buck's ultimate trapped people in a small ring made of earthen walls, which was basically the same thing. They changed that years ago though
not to mention that characters in games who use a hook in a way similar to Roadhog and Makoa existed way before Roadhog and Makoa... I really, really never understood all the outrage around similar games

Like with Roadhog and Makoa. when looking at D.Va and Ruckus, they are offensive mech based heros/champions, but play completely different, even when there abilities look very identical. Rockets, booster, dual weapons with low range.
ok i feel like its important to say : there are limited amount of mechanics that you can do in FPS game, though those things have similarities, and i 100% garantee any respectable gd will be playing competitor's game and take notes. None of this mechanics have anything extremely special about them to be a "clone".

another thing is that two games have different play style, Paladins prefers a more planned ahead style, building different decks for different effects on different champions, in game you get different items to buy to have different effects (although most casual players don't even know and just leave it on auto buy). OW doesn't have any customization on your character other than skins, but it change that by the fact that most of these characters were designed when the switching heroes were the main focus, so if you get hard countered, you don't have to stick to it. So even if one game tries to copy one another, it may not work on the grand scheme of that game.
im a paladins player at heart but been playing ow more this year , I think it would be awesome to have a paladins vs OW kinda like a marvel vs capcom or capcom vs SNK , bring all the characters into one universe , itd be so broken but so fun , having grover and ana on one team or buck and genji

I feel like the conversation that no one wants to have is the fact that neither of these games are particularly original, before Overwatch 2 came out the game had a 5% originality rate mechanically speaking (see Shammy's video on this subject, she made a whole spreadsheet). And tbh that's perfectly okay, firstly the games both have enough going for themselves to be considered their own games, it's not about what's in the games but how those mechanics and systems are combined to give the game its identity. Plus in my case being able to use my skills on Drogoz to learn Overwatch as a Pharah player made moving between the games feel more fun than confusing.
I've always said this about Paladins and Overwatch Paladins is more fun with characters with more interesting kits but lacked the budget and polish. Overwatch is more pleasant to look at and feels better to play with a larger community but had the most basic and bland mechanics when it came to heroes. and that they can both learn something about each other while Co-existing.

0ls. Do no compare o'e character to multiple others. It's not impressive. Honestly mauga's double weapons is just an interesting way of ramping up damage. So it's already similar to raum. No need to bring moji. The heal is just raum's but reversed. It's heal focused and you can get shield. While raum is shield focused and you can get heal. Mauga's activate ability then do damage. Raum do damage then activate ability. And the charge is basicly the same except maug jumps and raum go further.

1. Raum is bugged, anti-healing isn't supposed to affect Soul Armor. 2. CC is what makes him bad. If he was against a team with no CC, he would be free (which never happens).
You know that Raum's "heal" (which is actually over-health like mauga) doesn't get affect by cauterize right? He has multiple cards that heal his real heath based on the amount of over-health (or soul armor) he obtains. These card's healings are affected by cauterize, but his armor health gain will always be the same. It is a bug if the soul armor gain is affected by cauterize because it didn't do that before and there has been no patch note mention it, so it must be a bug.
as a paladins players that heard for a long time that paladins is a cheap copy of overwatc, seeing an overwatch character being called out for having a similar kit to paladins characters makes me feel kinda happy bc now overwatch is being called a copy of paladins, but at teh same time i know that is not the case

He has multiple cards that heal his real heath based on the amount of over-health (or soul armor) he obtains. These card's healings are affected by cauterize, but his armor health gain will always be the same. It is a bug if the soul armor gain is affected by cauterize because it didn't do that before and there has been no patch note mention it, so it must be a bug.

as a paladins players that heard for a long time that paladins is a cheap copy of overwatc, seeing an overwatch character being called out for having a similar kit to paladins characters makes me feel kinda happy bc now overwatch is being called a copy of paladins, but at teh same time i know that is not the case
