Even if they had high budget, a game that has gone through multiple full dev team changes to the point that new bugs occur after a small bug fix due to bad code somewhere from the old dev team. The only way the game can be less buggy is basically by making paladins 2 with better foundations.
Paladins skins also have way more goi'g on. Voices effects, animations, musics. and are not just costumes for the base character. Most of thtime they are totally different.
@@vhirtue0594 yeah most mystics have a voice modifier. But when I say paladins has new voice lines. I mean that an epic skin has all the voice line redone. Paladins is attractive to many players due to its free-to-play model and the extensive customization options for champions and the change of abilities through cards and items that the game offers. The only thing that I have criticized since 2016, with more than 7000 hours in the game now, is the dynamic in this game. While the match is loading, the chat history with people is getting deleted. You have no option to make changes to settings. Alt + Tab during match load only works partially for players as it can lead to a crash sometimes. You can't edit your loadout in-game while the preparation is going. You also cannot create your own custom crosshair like in ow2. Compared to Destiny 2 in which you can open up your menu at all times and do whatever you want, Paladins has its limits with the old engine, additionally with its development past. Not to mention they deleted the ability to merge some skins couple years ago, and some deleted gamemodes and Maps which took too long to come back, so that it became less attractive than it was initially. The Game has a big potentional, still. Some of it has been used, and some still not. I thank every single second that I get to spend in Paladins as a player and as a viewer! I appreciate content creators because I personally cannot stream or record gameplays as qualitative as you guys out there, because I don't really feel like it during all these years even if I want to.
I dont know but for me the reason why paladins has better skins, is that most of them has a custom voice lines and also change in personality. I don't know if OW has that, but I think no matter the skin, the character voice stays the same. Correct me if Im wrong
The skins in overwatch visually look better and of higher quality which I guess isn’t paladins fault since hi rez barely funds the game. I personally hate the voice changers in paladins when you equip a skin because it takes away from the character and turns them into someone completely different which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on if you like the personality of the original character.
I like paladins more but I feel like I play overwatch more because the games are slightly quicker and I feel like the matchmaking is better and if I get a leaver than another player can join instead of a bot that comes in and feeds the enemies kills.
@@MrNanoodwhich is a bad thing imo why change the voice of your characters, all it does is takes away from their originality, and it must feel terrible for the voice actors to know that their voices are not really apart of that character.
Personally, I like Paladins better. I've only played Overwatch and not Overwatch 2, but I remember how much the visual clutter in matches gave me a headache. The maps look gorgeous when you fly through and just look at them, but in game I feel lost all the time becasue all the details clutter the screen too much. Paladins maps are simple in layout, which can get boring over time, but it's much easier to see and follow what happens on the screen becasue the details are on the buildings themselves and not on all the trashcans in the corners of the map. I also think Paladins give better feedback visually when you hit an enemy or heal an ally, like on healthbars and such. Like it's easier to see that I actually did what I intended to do. Also love the cards and talents, that almost all skins have specific voices and that I can buy event passes for free cause crystals aren't that hard to get if you have the patience.
Bans for ow rank would not be good. They just say they were gonna test it not add it. I might be wrong. But heroes are so important. Banning counter might just turn into Wich team as the best phara for example.
They had ranked bans back in OW1 for a while, and it was bitter sweet. It was nice to have a constantly changing meta, but like you said when hitscans are banned, it's just a matter of who's the better pharah.
@@warpedreality6428 it would be worst with a player ban. if both team ban counters its super anoying. if both teams ban op heroes you end up with characters that have no use because in this meta theyr were only good due to countering said banned character
i would love a game without Ana, as tank or support. I dislike switching to kiri or bap just so my tank doesnt get melted after being anti'd. Or so my tree or trans actually heals and does its job
kind of the same thing with role queue for paladins. there are multiple viable team comp options you could go for. there are also sub classes like off tanks and off supports. you would change the entire game by locking team comp like they do in OW. in OW it works because you have no customization for characters
yeah but pala has like 60 + champions. ad customisation. so there you can make a pick and ban that allow the payer base to not taste the same op charater eavery game. @@Tunturisorsa
Honestly Paladins skins are way better than OW2 skins. Overwatch skins dont have any custom vfx nor voice packs.. whereas in Paladins skins come with new vfx and voice packs. It feels like your playing a new character. Like take corrupted IO as an example. That skin completely changes the characters personality. Mytical skins do have custom effects but they are just an upgraded version of their defaults effects and the voice is also default with a few new addons. Paladins easily wins it
ive played both and i enjoy both a lot. however, i feel that paladins is mechanically more difficult due to how many things you have to pay attention to during the game. another this i like about paladins is just how customizable the game is overall. from the skins of characters to the announcers you hear in game. it feels much more personalized, and it doesn't cost much to get things. i also like how some skins in paladins can change a character's entire personality to fit the skin. but in overwatch its mainly one or two words swapped out of their normal phrase. however the game legths and load times are what keep me coming back to overwatch. due to its lack in player count paladins struggles to find matches for players within short time frames. but this isnt a game thing it's a player thing.
i've played and enjoyed both as well with over 2k hrs in each but saying Paladins is mechanically more difficult is just not true. every hitbox in the game is huge may that be champ hitboxes or projectile hitboxes and when you put that together it creates a massive disadvantage for people that are mechanically better because someone can just aim relatively towards your direction and still get value while you may be better mechanically and still only find the same value + none of the movement intensive champs are as mechanically intense as the overwatch movement intensive characters. This is one of the reason I stopped playing it and switched over to overwatch because paladins is so hyper casual now with all the easy massive projectile heroes getting more value than mechanically intense ones may that be aim wise or movement wise. I do agree that one thing paladins has going for it is the customization.
@@ashonline77you can't unironically be saying that projectile champs are better than hitscan champs in paladins. Also overwatch has no movement acceleration so I can gimp you with ad strafe even if your aim is good. The lack of acceleration makes aiming in overwatch become predictive rather than reactive.
@@lukeaustin4465 I wasn't saying all projectile heroes are better than hitscan. I was saying some projectile heroes are way better than hitscan. For example, when I last played champs like vora was way easier with much higher value than something like kinessa who was a forgotten champ but you did have other hitscans that were stronger than some projectile champs. Again I quit the game in 2019 so things might have changed over time but this is one of the reasons I quit. Also instant movement /no movement acceleration in overwatch adds another layer of skill expression which paladins doesn't have. Overwatch isn't just predictive or reactive. It's both. Only projectile aiming is truly predictive in overwatch while tracking or flicking with hitscan is reactive. If you disagree, that's fine. I couldn't be bothered arguing over this anyway. It's a pointless conversation. I was merely explaining my pov of why I quit. It's okay if you don't think so.
@@ashonline77 it's predictive because being able to move at max speed instantly when you press the a or d key makes it so you have to predict where they're going to go when they ad strafe properly lol it's not rocket science. Why do you think they increased hitboxes sizes?
@@ashonline77 the only reason overwatch doesn't have acceleration is because the devs are rpg people, they don't have experience with fps games. Aaron keller was a wow guy before he joined the ow team, same with jeff kaplan.
Can't say I agree about the skins part. OW relies too much on recolours and I got the impression there's less unique skins per character. Also, Blizzard is way too worried about "recognizable silhouetes" to give heroes the same level of spin Paladins does on its champs. And I didn't even mention the voice packs...
I would like to say that in paladins, I got 2 epic skins and a legendary with a completely different voice, different move animations, and even custom battle music for $8, and then if you look at overwatch you can get 1 legendary skin with the default voice and no changed move animations for 20 fucking dollars lmao, sometimes even more
After 7 years (ish) in overwatch, I am trying paladins out for first time. I gravitated to frost witch Evie for similarities to mei's survivability; however, I love the extra diversity with a trace blink and mercy/echo fly/glide. To other Ana mains out there, without an anti heal, Pip's slow is very similar. This took a while to find and with not much internet information out there. Unfortunately, there is NO TUTORIAL about loadouts or items. It took about 7 levels to figure out on my own. Also, bugs, smurfs, cheaters have been experienced in both games, evenly. TIP: the audio of footsteps in overwatch is a bit off. As a Support main, first thing I miss starting paladins is ROLE QUEUE! I remember overwatch 1 before this, grumbles...
@@jada_9827nah bro, counterfeit in overwatch is literally retarded. The build option makes it to where you actually have to use your brains against certain characters. Countering in overwatch is definitely more brain dead.
When Overwatch was without updates in that limbo before releasing 2 I gave Paladins a chance. I had a lot of fun playing with the 4 roles and I even became a Tiberius main, but when OW 2 came out I noticed the difference. Paladins maps are tiny and matches end very quickly, skill spam is very constant due to loads and items, the large number of champions is a problem because many end up forgotten without buffs, nerfs and especially without cosmetics like skins and emotes . Tiberius my old main may have skins but to this day he only has 2 emotes and MVP poses.
Paladins is still better because of the item shop, in overwatch you just have to put up with cc and shields. In paladins I can buy wrecker and unbound.
Paladins has a lot better ability design I might say. +Talent and Cards system it's 10/10 for me and Overwatch is just 5/10 In Paladins when you just want to have fun you can do meme build or weird build and sit back and laugh without trying too hard. (Endless Ult Vatu, Flank Pip, Speed Terminus, Flingnando for example) But Overwatch will make you feel like try-hard all the time. Paladins skins also a wayyy better because of their own original voicelines most of them give unique personality to the character and funniers. I feel like this video is bias in favor of the Overwatch the youtuber didn't even give enough details about the good things in Paladins. Paladins character design (both mechanic and characteristic-wise) is also way way better. Not only you can play robot, human , animals you can also play Lightning Orc, Goblin in a Sentient Mech that bickering each other, Wuxia villian who is very hard to kill (Zhin), Fat Yandere Bombardier, The Sentient Bomb itself, Weeb-bait moon goddess, Elf with deagle, Self-riighteous Seraph straight from Warhammer, Edgy Ninja with teleport-behind-you ability etc etc. this make some Paladins duel feel like anime-fight while Overwatch feel like generic shooter where you died from stray bullet.
14:04 - when looking at maps, I would look at the map layout / design over how good it looks. It doesn't matter if your map looks cool if you can't tell what is an enemy and what is part of the map, or if it is easy to get lost or hit from an unexpected angle. Personally, I like paladins maps since they are almost always symmetrical, and the characters contrast well against the maps. Granted, most of this is solved with experience and map knowledge, but I felt more comfortable with the Paladins maps vs the Overwatch maps during my first few hours because of those reasons.
I first played paladins when it was on nintendo switch and i really liked it and felt nostalgic and decided to download it again on my pc and have been having a blast. I have been thinking about trying out overwatch 2 but whats holding me back are the bad reviews the game has gotten recently..
game is fun, the bad reviews are mainly from china where they had to remove it due to some publication issues. and other reviews are just criticizing the monetization of ow2 compared to ow1 (personally, it is better than most other similar games with f2p model). But yeah, game is super fun.
It’s just ungrateful, annoying and arrogant people review bombing the game because they are spoiled brats. I absolutely despise review bombing because it’s so irritating 😡 And before anyone says anything, NO I’m not defending Activision Blizzard as they do deserve some criticism. However they shouldn’t have to put up with review bombing and death threats either
@@itzpurple_queen9711 One of the rare times I agree with review bombing, overwatch 2 was made with minimal effort by people who would rather rape someone( rape allegations in blizzard) then deliver a good product. Ungrateful? The games are made for us so we pay and they make money, they don't make games cause they want to make us happy they do only for profit and to get as much money out of us as possible.
Don't take this personally but it seems you're restraining yourself to not get destroyed by the Overwatch community, imo paladins is 100x more fun than overwatch, Blizzard doesn't take risks with the characters, the support and tank classes are so boring that I'm always thinking "I could be paying a Paladins character right now". I can't possibly see how does Overwatch come even near Paladins in abilities, granted a lot of Paladins characters are clunky and unfun to play but the concept is there and I'm 100% sure that is Paladins had Overwatch's budget they would destroy overwatch's player base. Both dev teams fuck up from time to time but while you're playing Phara fighting Widowmaker on Overwatch you could be playing a fucking jetpack Dragon that can one shot you with a punch fighting a hunter that can go invisible with a sniper the can be swapped to an SMG and throw a frag bomb
@@ElixoYT Just because he agrees with what I'm saying doesn't mean I can't share my opinion. Also the first line of my comment says that I think he's restraining himself, not that he's lying, c'mon man...
Paladins has more peak fun and more peak unfun than overwatch, overwatch just is just a constant experience but can be fun sometimes at the end of the day.
I would say that Paladins is mechanically more difficult. You used snipers for the example, but snipers in Overwatch can oneshot. Not in Paladins. Also there is voice packs in Paladins and you can get a lot of stuff for free. Also I would say the biggest difference is that Paladins is free and Overwatch wasn't... Overwatch has way more money and a bigger team. Paladins is being managed by way less people.
i disagree because in overwatch it is harder to hit shots especially if they are playing a character with a small hit box and fast movement like tracer idk what it is but aiming in paladins feels so forgiving it feels like the hit boxes are way bigger than the visible models
The comparison isnt even close, paladins is like a 9/10 and ow is like a 3/10. Eyes paladins has bigger hitboxes but in ow you can swap whenever you want, yes that tracer may be hard to hit but just swap to mei and now you dont need to aim, and if mei doesnt work you can then swap to torb, ph the tracer knows how to deal with a single turret? Go sym and place so many turrets the tracer cant even approach your team! Oh their teams breaking your turrets? Go sombra and hack the tracer and then hit your new combo on her and she dies instantly, not good at sombra even tho it's an auto aim hack and giant projectile? Go ashe and hit your tnt when shes close and blast away, not good at aiming as ashe at all? Play support and just play brig whenever tracer annoys you, now the tracer physically cant hurt you without isolating you so dont get isolated, oh your team's not around and hard to keep up with? Go moira and just be immortal with auto aim so the tracer cant even bother you. Meanwhile in paladins if you see an evie on the other team and its ranked where you can sorta pre counterpick, you have to decide right then and there Iif that evie is gonna be enough of a challenge to hit to require you to pick a hero like lian who has auto aim, and now you're locked in as lian, you have no more option other then getting good at your actual hero. The ability to change your heros whenever you want mixed with the fact the devs purposely create easy heros that deal with the hard to hit heros, makes ow bascially a baby version of paladins lol But that's just mechanical stuff, ofc brig and them still have some stuff that's hard like knowing what abilities to watch for and what to do depending on the enemy comp right? Well even in that area, which you might call gameknowledge, I would argue it's a hell of alot harder to remember every single loadout and talent possible in the game, then it is to just learn the base heros kits, which means in paladins you better know what every loadout card does for all like 50 or 60 heros and their talents as well as planning your shop perks for the enemy, which is waaaay more gameknowledge then what's needed in overwatch so literally even the one thing you could argue makes all these non mechanical heros in ow hard, is harder in paladins 😂
@@Saucey.Bawqua currently I hover around high masters low gm as an echo 1 trick, but I was top 500 back in ow1 when I actually played metas and counter swapped. And I can easily swap and win most games I play in gm if I wasnt such a fan of echo who is countered by anyone with a hitscan wep lol Once you learn counter picks dude you can win almost anything, mechanical skill almost doesnt even matter much but as someone who has played evie since she launched who is bascially aerial tracer and used actually hard snipers which most games snipers are harder to use then widows point and click style sniper with no sway or scope delay, so mechanical skill is rarely an issue for me. And the main reason I said 3/10 was to better show the distance between ow and paladins, i actually think ow is relatively hard compared to most games because of how fast pace and complex it is but paladins is the same thing with more stuff to learn and more mechanically demanding heros without counter picking, so I find in paladins I'm challenged way more often by trying to counterpick before the match and sometimes I pick something that's not optimal and I gotta fight with a handicap while in ow I can just swap again and make the game easy since everything in ow has a counter you can just swap to anytime which makes it infinitely easier. If ow removed counter picking today I think it might actually become harder then paladins or at least you could argue it's harder and actually have a case but ow devs want to make their game easier for maximum profit from kids like fortnite, while the one time paladins tried to add an easy champ with kasumi the community lost their minds because paladins community hates easy champs while the ow community defends crap like brig existing.
@@Saucey.Bawqua yea ow feels harder to the average good player I think because people like to play their fav heros regardless but have you ever actually tried to counterpick? And really learn the counterpick meta, which doesnt just mean counterpicking the enemy but also incorporates swapping to synergize with your team, and I will agree ow is harder as an echo 1 trick than paladins is as a vora 1 trick which are my mains but that's because I dont have access to counterpicking because I rarely swap off echo nowadays while my opponent is swapping like crazy, by the end of most my games the enemy team is on d.va, soldier, bastion, illari and bap 😂 making my life as echo 100x harder then paladins will ever be on vora I think but the problem is I can swap and just beat their new comp and than it becomes a game of who knows their match ups better which I dont think is that hard, but since most people do only learn a couple heros and enjoy playing only those heros, they actually make ow harder on themselves which maybe is what makes people think it's harder, but seriously, when you really learn counterpicking it's just to easy to swap and synergize with your team to win most your games. But if you're only playing d.va and ana I could see how it seems harder then just playing koga in paladins.
I’ve played both loads (ow more than paladins) and in my opinion paladins is more better. Constant skins. Mix and match customization, new characters with unique abilities. Ways to switch the match to the side that’s loosing making it more fair
Ive been playing both for a really long time, one runs better but now is mega greedy and the other is unpolished but has interesting gameplay variety and varied skins. The only thing that would make OW better is if they made what Paladins did, chose your gameplay type. I hate capture point mode and miss old maps like Hanamura and Temple of Anubis. If theres just payload only mode it would be like a percent better.
Paladins is a multi-world fantasy setting. If you understand that, the lore makes a lot more sense. Their technology is based on some sort of crystal magic.
I feel like paladins can be extremely one sided if your team comp is bad and not even being able to leave a game means you have to sit there on a losing battle
Paladins skins have always changed everything btw , the appearance, the vfx , the sfx and the voicelines, while overwatch has started to do so just now and at a much higher price
I'd say that paladins wins if you throw out graphics. Graphics in paladins are stylized with money they had, ow2 they have AAA money, off course they have 10/10 graphics. Gameplay vise, paladins is 4 parallel universes ahead. Because one is way more complex, featuring nore moba elements, and having a lot more ways to outsmart the enemy, rather than outgun. In another it's way more dependent on shooter element. Essentially, it's like comparing cs:go to r6s. One is based around mechanical skill, another is based around tactical skill. Both are fps-es, both require plenty mechanical skill, but they have different things tied to that fps part. Same with ow2 and paladins. One is a shootet with abilities, another is moba with shooter element.
Problem is , Paladins does not quite live to its promise . On paper , you can customize freely your character with Talents and Cards . In reality , more often than not , only one Talent is viable and as for Cards there's less choice than expected .
While Paladins has a pretty strict pattern when it comes to maps where you have the main lane and two sides to flank, visually, I think all the reworks Hi-Rez did in the past few years sapped the charm in almost every single one of them. Design wise I think Overwatch has it due to the variety they offer, but I think they go so far with it, there are areas in every map players probably never go to.
Another thing with paladins vs overwatch difficulty is paladins abilities and kits are MUCH harder to understand. Like you can play like a game to 3 games of a character in overwatch and generally understand their kit but there were some characters in paladins like vatu for example that are very confusing
I play both game; so I just switch depends on the mood. Got 1k hours on OW and 500 on Paladins(cuz matchmaking time for Paladins in Asia is way longer). But at least you don’t have to sell your organs to buy skins from Paladins; however OW skins are better aesthetically and Blizz fookin know it. Also the skill ceiling in OW 2 got way lower since they went F2P because more people got access to it. And I genuinely hate both games’ battle pass in general.
Great video. Regarding graphics: sure Overwatch is artistically more impressive, but I like Paladins’ graphics better because I can actually see what’s happening 🤷
I disagree with which game is harder. As somebody who has at least above 300 hours on each game, the mechanics in Paladins are definitely harder, look at the mechanice of Evie or Vatu, arguably one of the hardest champs to master. Sure, snipers are easier due to hitboxes, but the champs in OW are much easier to master.
I agree with there being a range of difficulty in OW heroes. Newer heroes have higher difficulty. Sometimes you might feel they are easy but then actually hard to master (except for Moira and such.) There also exist those like Genji, Lucio and Wrecking Ball who takes a ton of skills and hours just to get “good,” not even to master. Wrecking Ball and Lucio in general are groundbreaking characters in gaming history.
If ur an overwatch main download paladins so if ur ever burnt out from overwatch u can play paladins and vice versa for paladins players it's always good to get off one game and enjoy the other
You are forgetting to mention how overly money hungry overwatch is to the point where they made an update and called it a sequel and made a cool skin just make it impossible to get without buying a 45 dollar bundle. If paladins had the same budget as overwatch then it would be an easy win for paladins.
But paladins would easily become another money-grab game '). Don't give them ideas. Plus, I must mention that OW2's money-grab is much tamer than any other online game of the same generation 😂
Engineering wise OW2 much superior, lots of features and designs are great. The whole color palette is much better in Paladins you can easily notice champs. The background and palette is so complex in OW2 it feels dead, lots of details are making it hard to track and realistic as if we are playing COD APEX etc. Gameplay wise Paladins is much better gives us customization and build our own unique way to play. This part is priceless meanwhile OW2 is extremely dull.
Paladins I'll say is better due to it's community unlike overwatch cause I be joining these servers in the game and meet some players who are just out right toxic for a lil to no reason while I'm just trying to chill
Both are better in diffrent aspects. Paladins still has some bugs that were out when the game 1st came out and it looks like an old roblox game. Ow is on a weird state since bobby is soon leaving so the game will get better on reducing fomo and they will start sharing more.
I have lots more narrow feedback on both games, and I rank Paladins above as a solo game to play as a main game, and Overwatch higher as a game to truly just play around with a party worth of friends
I think the cards and talents from paladins make it the better game to me personally. No matter how many times you swap heroes in overwatch, that doesn't make the characters in that game magically fun (to me).
way to say that you didn't look into paladin's lore, the "big worm" is some kind of godess of the apocalypse with vora being a messanger of sort and dude just went "why is there a big worm it just makes no sense" and dolesn't even think about the difference of money put into it and the difference of work force such an obvious overwatch glazer
I love Paladins, and I enjoy Overwatch. Both are good games, and I'll enjoy both for different reasons... Though Overwatch doesn't have Maeve... And Paladins doesn't have Genji... So I gotta play both.
People seem to ignore one simple fact when they see paladins as an "overwatch like" : the one you heard of first isn't necessarily the original, thats not how life works. I'm convinced blowzhard literally stole Paladins to hi-rez like bastards, and its obvious when you think about it : -For every character that is alike, paladins made them way more coherent with their lore and story : the mechanics of the characters gameplay are actually related to their lore, personality, and symbolics. -They also are part of a coherent universe together : an rpg-like medieval world with a few modern elements. While overwatch is a mish-mash of random profiles with weird personalities, no coherent context to see here. -It's not a coincidence if paladins has twice the number of characters overwatch has, and more. THEY created the characters themselves. -And finally, paladins has a lot more profound mechanics than overwatch : items, loadouts, talents, one more class, etc... Ever seen a student who copied the work of another end up with twice the pages on their essay ? Blizzard, we see you, and we know. Hi-rez might not have had the time or money to sue you, but life did, and so did a lot of players. You guys are thieves, and its obvious to anyone with a brain.
The reason why I think Paladins beats Overwatch when it comes to skins is that Paladins isn't afraid to do more risqué things with them. Yeah, I know sexy skins are cheap, but Overwatch is prudish and you know there is never going to be another Widowmaker, the femme fatale role is taken, now it's all adventurous/dark past characters that fight for what they believe in. Also, their skins are filed with gribbles, as in, sci-fi shit added willy-nilly. Paladins also has genderbent and even skins that change the character's skin color a fair bit. They just have more freedom to work with them.
I like Paladins character design more than OW but the gameplay i prefer OW its more smooth have better FPS and more fluids than Paladins (on console bcs i'm on console) the other thing is on Paladins you are forced to play with crossplay but not in OW so literally you can't play against PC on Paladins bcs so sensivity in Paladins on console is so ass i try everything its not smooth or regular but in OW you don't have this problem. I guess the cause is FPS diff 😅. OW matchmaking is better and the game is more balanced than Paladins. For exemple it was years that i haven't play Paladins and when i came back first i have to do some build change etc, after 3 games i decide to play Jenos and they have Maeve OTP lvl too much and she build anti CC to counter me and buy the resistance one to be less weak to her BUT it doesnt change the fact she 2 shot me anyway bcs its unbalanced and not fair, she can't be CC by anyone and 2 shot everyone and 4 shot our tank it was stupid af so i uninstall the game again. I appreciate content creators because I personally cannot stream or record gameplays as qualitative as you guys out there, because I don't really feel like it during all these years even if I want to.
ow2 is free to play also :D
I dont know but for me the reason why paladins has better skins, is that most of them has a custom voice lines and also change in personality.
I don't know if OW has that, but I think no matter the skin, the character voice stays the same.
Correct me if Im wrong
Some legendary and all Mythic skins in Overwatch have custom voice lines. Mythic lines have all new kind effects as well.
They can’t really make too many custom voice-lines because it would make it confusing
@@Devinthehouse12 I’ll admit, in Paladins it confuses me when everyone has a different voice for their ult.
@@sweethistorteait can yes, and I understand the reasoning behind why they don’t add many custom voiceline.
One of the reasons I quit Paladins… OW2 just has a superior matchmaking system but I am looking forward to seeing the new update
paladins is more fun and stuff but overwatch is better professionally/esport wise

Vora is really cool!!
Vora is the funnest character in either ow or paladins, I would highly recommend trying her if you do pick up paladins.
Its literally go crazy
she’s one of my favorite play styles in any game
for the skins category: Paladins also has it's own voice packs for each skin
In addition, skins in Paladins change the voice acting, decals, and abilities.
@@MrNanoodwhich is a bad thing imo why change the voice of your characters, all it does is takes away from their originality, and it must feel terrible for the voice actors to know that their voices are not really apart of that character.
But this is no longer their character. You can consider this an alter ego. I don't think Tom Hardy is offended by Venom's voice.

Both fun games imo, but the diversity in builds feels so good in paladins with the cards and talents.
At the end, you can pretty much say Paladins has the soul, Overwatch has the budget.
“why is there a ghost in paladin?” it’s a fucking magic game bruh 😭

Paladins easily wins it
U forgot about Amerkhan and German Androxus, it is funny and hilarious
They can’t make custom voicelines for overwatch skins
@@Devinthehouse12why not?
@@Steph1 cause it would confuse players
@@Devinthehouse12 then you’re just doing it wrong. It works fine in Paladins, so it’s possible
ive played both and i enjoy both a lot. however, i feel that paladins is mechanically more difficult due to how many things you have to pay attention to during the game. another this i like about paladins is just how customizable the game is overall. from the skins of characters to the announcers you hear in game. it feels much more personalized, and it doesn't cost much to get things. i also like how some skins in paladins can change a character's entire personality to fit the skin. but in overwatch its mainly one or two words swapped out of their normal phrase. however the game legths and load times are what keep me coming back to overwatch. due to its lack in player count paladins struggles to find matches for players within short time frames. but this isnt a game thing it's a player thing.
i've played and enjoyed both as well with over 2k hrs in each but saying Paladins is mechanically more difficult is just not true. every hitbox in the game is huge may that be champ hitboxes or projectile hitboxes and when you put that together it creates a massive disadvantage for people that are mechanically better because someone can just aim relatively towards your direction and still get value while you may be better mechanically and still only find the same value + none of the movement intensive champs are as mechanically intense as the overwatch movement intensive characters.
The recognizable silhouettes thing is so annoying...
Only reasons ow has over paladins are caused by the massively larger budget

I think u should have added 1 more category: company (in terms of engagement, how much they listen etc)
The unique voicepacks based on skins makes Paladins win in my opinion. Graphics-wise, Overwatch is really pretty but they do not have personality.
Each champion can be built, so paladins is a better game just by that alone
not objectively, the card system makes it harder to balance heroes, i'd say the build option of paladins is a bad thing
@@jada_9827nah bro, counterfeit in overwatch is literally retarded. The build option makes it to where you actually have to use your brains against certain characters. Countering in overwatch is definitely more brain dead.
Paladins 100% does skins better IMO. I’ve been playing both for years though.
Paladins is a better game.
Overwatch has a better "online community"
+Talent and Cards system it's 10/10 for me and Overwatch is just 5/10
In Paladins when you just want to have fun you can do meme build or weird build and sit back and laugh without trying too hard.
Game is basically overwatch 1 with some changes
It’s just ungrateful, annoying and arrogant people review bombing the game because they are spoiled brats. I absolutely despise review bombing because it’s so irritating 😡
And before anyone says anything, NO I’m not defending Activision Blizzard as they do deserve some criticism. However they shouldn’t have to put up with review bombing and death threats either
@@itzpurple_queen9711 One of the rare times I agree with review bombing, overwatch 2 was made with minimal effort by people who would rather rape someone( rape allegations in blizzard) then deliver a good product. Both dev teams fuck up from time to time but while you're playing Phara fighting Widowmaker on Overwatch you could be playing a fucking jetpack Dragon that can one shot you with a punch fighting a hunter that can go invisible with a sniper the can be swapped to an SMG and throw a frag bomb

i wouldn’t say overwatch is realistic lol

Paladins has more peak fun and more peak unfun than overwatch, overwatch just is just a constant experience but can be fun sometimes at the end of the day.
This feels a little biased in favor of overwatch tbh lol
As a Paladins player i say play what you want. If you found your main thats your answer.
I never played paladins, so i dont know wich one is better.
But i known i play overwatch mostly for the characters and the fast gameplay
Which one has better jiggle physics?
Paladins
I would say that Paladins is mechanically more difficult. You used snipers for the example, but snipers in Overwatch can oneshot. Not in Paladins. Also there is voice packs in Paladins and you can get a lot of stuff for free. Also I would say the biggest difference is that Paladins is free and Overwatch wasn't... Overwatch has way more money and a bigger team. Paladins is being managed by way less people.
Though paladins has huge hitboxes
i disagree because in overwatch it is harder to hit shots especially if they are playing a character with a small hit box and fast movement like tracer
idk what it is but aiming in paladins feels so forgiving it feels like the hit boxes are way bigger than the visible models
The ability to change your heros whenever you want mixed with the fact the devs purposely create easy heros that deal with the hard to hit heros, makes ow bascially a baby version of paladins lol
But that's just mechanical stuff, ofc brig and them still have some stuff that's hard like knowing what abilities to watch for and what to do depending on the enemy comp right?
And I can easily swap and win most games I play in gm if I wasnt such a fan of echo who is countered by anyone with a hitscan wep lol
Once you learn counter picks dude you can win almost anything, mechanical skill almost doesnt even matter much but as someone who has played evie since she launched who is bascially aerial tracer and used actually hard snipers which most games snipers are harder to use then widows point and click style sniper with no sway or scope delay, so mechanical skill is rarely an issue for me.
Overwatch now has the same hitboxes as Paladins
And one more thing about skins. Some change the character itself. Pip/Pepper. Nessa/Valentina. Vora/Ruby Rose.
Paladis is actually VERY heavy on lore. The thing is that it's not avaliable ingame.
If theres just payload only mode it would be like a percent better.

yago and kasumi has a lore.
Paladins is a multi-world fantasy setting. If you understand that, the lore makes a lot more sense. Their technology is based on some sort of crystal magic.
I feel like paladins can be extremely one sided if your team comp is bad and not even being able to leave a game means you have to sit there on a losing battle
overwatch wins in visuals
paladins wins in gameplay

I play over watch 2 only but paladins is better to me , I like the characters more , I like the card load outs, and the horses
Overwatch two is objectively better quality. I do, however, like Paladins more
Paladins skins have always changed everything btw , the appearance, the vfx , the sfx and the voicelines, while overwatch has started to do so just now and at a much higher price
Remember playing my boy Bomb King years ago. I was one tricking him to highest ranks.... Soooo much fun.
Paladins better more fun more customization than just certain play style
I think il choose paladins cus you have really cool skins and its really addicting

I love both, i just love FPS games, but Paladins has A WAY better and far less toxic community.
It vastly depends on the hero for OW.
Genji has a 10/10 skill ceiling for mechanics but someone like Moira is 2/10.
I think in my opinion, Overwatch 2 is more toxic than Paladiins.
Paladins is fun but I really wish they shorten the hitbox for the champions. I do believe aiming should be a bit more difficult
If ur an overwatch main download paladins so if ur ever burnt out from overwatch u can play paladins and vice versa for paladins players it's always good to get off one game and enjoy the other
Paladins>Overwatch because paladins balanced game
damn was so close
Gameplay wise OW, skins, characters, and content wise Paladins
Something about paladins is just so special to me. I will always love the game.
5:52 talent be like
Paladins I'll say is better due to it's community unlike overwatch cause I be joining these servers in the game and meet some players who are just out right toxic for a lil to no reason while I'm just trying to chill
Both are better in diffrent aspects.
Paladins still has some bugs that were out when the game 1st came out and it looks like an old roblox game.
Ow is on a weird state since bobby is soon leaving so the game will get better on reducing fomo and they will start sharing more.
I have lots more narrow feedback on both games, and I rank Paladins above as a solo game to play as a main game, and Overwatch higher as a game to truly just play around with a party worth of friends
at this point youre just riding overwatchs meat 😂
paladins is literally more fun
Nice video, I tried Paladins sadly there's just something off about It that makes It feel weird to me, have no idea what It is but yeah
I think the cards and talents from paladins make it the better game to me personally. No matter how many times you swap heroes in overwatch, that doesn't make the characters in that game magically fun (to me).
way to say that you didn't look into paladin's lore, the "big worm" is some kind of godess of the apocalypse with vora being a messanger of sort and dude just went "why is there a big worm it just makes no sense" and dolesn't even think about the difference of money put into it and the difference of work force
such an obvious overwatch glazer
Ow is just BETTER overall
I love Paladins, and I enjoy Overwatch. Both are good games, and I'll enjoy both for different reasons... Though Overwatch doesn't have Maeve... And Paladins doesn't have Genji... So I gotta play both.
My is opinion is just. Play what you want and enjoy yourself ❤
“Overwatch has better skins but Paladins wins”
If the category is skins, and Overwatch had better skins, Overwatch wins. Bruh
People seem to ignore one simple fact when they see paladins as an "overwatch like" : the one you heard of first isn't necessarily the original, thats not how life works.
I'm convinced blowzhard literally stole Paladins to hi-rez like bastards, and its obvious when you think about it :
-For every character that is alike, paladins made them way more coherent with their lore and story : the mechanics of the characters gameplay are actually related to their lore, personality, and symbolics.
Paladins tutorial doesn't even teach purchases and load outs and talents
paladins reminds me of a Skylanders first person shooter
Paladins can be a good game but i know Hi-Rez, i have played a lot of Smite and it can't be possible. Thats all i have to say bybye 👋
*doesn't watch video*
