james please don’t put industrial by the zoo. you have a whole map, the zoo should be surrounded by green space and trees. even if you buffer it with commercial or offices i just don’t think it would look nice since you detailed the zoo to have all that greenery. but if you really wanna have something in that area, i think moving the roads you built just a bit further away from the zoo would make a huge difference. the zoo should be it’s own thing with a lot of space around and not be surrounded by buildings. but that’s just my opinion. i really do love this series, though. i can’t wait to see how the city develops. :)
james last episide: "i think we need to change and redevelop the hillside with the industrial because ideally you shouldn't have industrial on the hill overlooking the city" this episode: zones two other prime real estate locations with industrial.
destiny YES totally, maybe he can put there some sort of hôtel and residential area, and there the industrial zoning will ruin all of the zoo trees too. Maybe the industrial zone should be further back near the trainline and the highway.
When you're done with this side of the map, the University could use a soccer/football field in the green space by the beach. Maybe a baseball field too.
I really love when you do these time lapses that tie everything together. And I'm always suprised, thinking nah, that won't look good and then * magic * it turns out amazing!
The tunnel is a great idea!! You should also have a trains lines going through there to if you’re doing a cargo area and a passenger line with stops near the zoo, zoning area you build and the other side of the bay
You should totally put a pier off that bridge side path by the water in the zoo (9:00). It would be a really nice addition to the zoo, and force them to appreciate your scenery.
Why are y'all still asking about Sedona?? He already addressed it. It might be revisited in the future but until then LET IT GOOOO Also James this is turning out very nicely, I think as long as the shipping lanes don't interfere with the zoo you could do a cargo harbor there just fine. And if you use RICO buildings for industrial you can make it look sort of like a warehouse and storage district, I'd even throw in a few factories here and there interspersed with the commercial/office spaces. Idk how many workers that would take up though. The highway to tunnel idea is also good too.
mattkaru it’s not fair to ask people to just let it go when they stuck with a series for months on end and don’t have any closure or ending to go with it.
You could get rid of one of those big rocks central of the zoo, and put a small little pond in its place. And imagine it as a fish feeding place with a small bridge over it!
Ditto on not putting industrial by the zoo, other places would be fine but not by the zoo. Also, I think the panda exhibit should be placed inside the zoo where the open green space is left.
Suggestion: Build another university and create a campus for it. So like a little park with some residential for the students and maybe even a few custom stores. Even like baseball fields or other types of sports for it
I feel like in this series that you've grown with your detailing as you figured out how and where to place different pieces of foliage and that you've also answered your own question about how to do industrial by spreading it around your city in different places
Yeah put the small industrial area by the train line. Don't put it by the zoo unless you want Rampage-style animals to wreck the city haha. When you make downtown, put a big industrial area next to a sheltered harbor. That way your most dense area will have nearby industry!
Flabaliki point taken but one could pretend it's an exhibit of maybe Koi-fishes or even tortoises or other fresh water animals.. Most of the zoo's in The Netherlands have ponds and lakes like that.
A small industrial and offices by a cargo harbour would look great, other than that I would just put the odd industrial building by offices throughout. Like you say the Ore Mining is appropriate too. I would like to see a big statement feature at the entrance to the bay on the otherside, something that can be iconic for this city. ie Sydney Opera House, Statue of LIberty, Golden Gate bridge sort of thing.
I agree with not zoning industrial near the zoo - maybe on the mountain side for ore and a tunnel to the other side for the harbor. Your city looks fantastic.
Yes do a tunnel under the zoo area connecting both pieces of land. Also, do a cargo dock on the other land across the water. And also, put some marinas along the water to get more life on the water.
You can make a tunnel directly to the island, making a transfer to a large bridge connecting to the other side. And the industrial area next to the zoo shouldn't so big, you can explore the oil sources near the highway as a new industrial area.
I wonder if they have camp sites? With all of the rocks and trees it would cool to build a national park with tent and RV camping. Perhaps up in the mountains with the trees obscuring the roads in section. Maybe a few beach campsites too.
I was about to type for you to do a tunnel crossing the sides when you suggest it! I LOVE that idea. Also, I think the monorail should extend to the new area (where you put the new industrial, by the zoo) and maybe connect to the line that goes to the zoo, so you would have a easy way for passengers to travel around the map. And what is that area in the bottom left corner at 36:12? is it an island? If so you should do a luxury travel spot with an small airplane for access (you could set part of ir as a park too, it would be interesting to see if people would fly there for leisure).
Like the idea of that big industrial area but not with the one next to the zoo. That should be residential, it’s such a nice area and industry should be near mountains
17:26 Ideas: -Beach! -High Density in-zoo Hotels! -Statue of Collosalus :) As for the other side bay: -High Density, Just High Density and some Unique Buildings -Beach V2!
Definitely do a tunnel that crosses the bay! It could start halfway from the highway already, so it would cross under the potential medium density area near the zoo. Then you could could have ramps up from the tunnel to serve the area
It's funny that you mention noise pollution from the zoo... where I live there's two zoos, one bigge than the other, the small one has like farm animals and some local wild ones but it's next to a sanatorium so I had a friend there because she had schizophrenia and thought she was actually crazy cause she could hear a lion at night, an doctor told her there was a zoo just a block away later 😂😂😂 also right next to the big zoo there's a hole fancy residential area called zoo's gardens so... 😅😅😅
you should leave the left side (the one near the zoo and where the city started) of the bay for residential and all other things, and put the cargo ship and all the other stuff in the opposite side. it’ll make things much more organized and will not bother the “citizens” with noise pollution and traffic issues
Do a massive bridge between connecting the two pointy out bits from the lighthouse to the other side of the marina and turn the bay into a park and name it
where you said to put in a new highway connection down towards the zoo, could you possibly have agriculture and farmland a bit further away from the city on a road leading to the countryside. Would be cool. Awesome video though!!!
You should build some more industrial on the other side of the mountain near the zoo. It’s flat. Close to water, so you can add a harbor. Ore would be cool since it’s close to the mountain so it could be a mine
Maybe make the industrial area a farming/forestry type so that it doesn’t pollute. If you go with forestry it will also add more trees to blend a bit with the zoo
The zoo is looking really good! Why don't you add the cable cars to connect the zoo and the observatory if you aren't going to use them to get to the little island?
Farmland would be good. Zoning the industrial so it could just be farming would mean the zoo and surrounding area doesn’t get disgusting because its zero pollution. Maybe make the main roads more in the middle with little suburb type things coming off down to the beach would mean you won’t get tones of traffic going on the roads you don’t want.
Hikers42 maybe that can go next to the zoo instead of the industrial, a science sector. It would be a good compromise for industrial and would go great next to the observatory
James do a ferry line to the little island in the zoo and a little circle road in that island like a roundabout and have like a statue or something in the middle!
What about calling that extension to mulberry with the observatory. Mulberry hill or heights. What about logging industry near zoo if you have to put industry there. It at least won't look as ugly.
Honestly, You are Very Very Good at Town and City Structure and Architecture, You should start studying, Tbh our World needs a Good person to do that!!
the block closer to the zoo in fawn district, don't zone them as industrial it will definitely ruin the trees of the zoo
Vishal Vikram Singh Found fellow Indian 😁😀

Charles Anthony btw the name of the sport is FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER FOOTBALL
Charles Anthony noo basketball would be better like venice beach
The point is football should not be called soccer.
association football aka soccer
Soccer
You should make a high rise area on the other side of the bay
that is the plan!
I really love when you do these time lapses that tie everything together. And I'm always suprised, thinking nah, that won't look good and then * magic * it turns out amazing!
Place a Ferris Wheel in the zoo. Many zoos have small quiet rides in them for added attraction.
The tunnel is a great idea!! You should also have a trains lines going through there to if you’re doing a cargo area and a passenger line with stops near the zoo, zoning area you build and the other side of the bay
17:26 perfect place for beach!
You should totally put a pier off that bridge side path by the water in the zoo (9:00). It would be a really nice addition to the zoo, and force them to appreciate your scenery.
Or he could just have a walking tour going over the bridge
Jeffer Ddk why not both?
Maybe the monorail could go under the bridge highways and through the holes in the bridgesupports? (30:11)
that's what I was thinking too
YES. love that idea! (on a timelapse tho, that would involve a lot of moveit lol)
Why are y'all still asking about Sedona?? He already addressed it. It might be revisited in the future but until then LET IT GOOOO

Jeffer Ddk ....wat
You should build a small tourism zoned area in the zoo near the rhino enclosure. Not sure how you ok connect it, (tunnel??)
That zoo looks like a place I want to visit.
You could get rid of one of those big rocks central of the zoo, and put a small little pond in its place. And imagine it as a fish feeding place with a small bridge over it!

Jimin Namjoon YES! That’s exactly what I just wrote !

The zoo could use a pond/lake. Maybe with some rocks and foliage around it..
It’s surrounded by ocean on three sides 🤔🤔
Flabaliki point taken but one could pretend it's an exhibit of maybe Koi-fishes or even tortoises or other fresh water animals.. Most of the zoo's in The Netherlands have ponds and lakes like that.
are you going to do longer park life videos? like 50-60 minutes?
A small industrial and offices by a cargo harbour would look great, other than that I would just put the odd industrial building by offices throughout. Like you say the Ore Mining is appropriate too. I would like to see a big statement feature at the entrance to the bay on the otherside, something that can be iconic for this city. ie Sydney Opera House, Statue of LIberty, Golden Gate bridge sort of thing.

Turn that strip of sand in the zoo into a mini beach! You can put gazebos and benches and like scattered food spots! I think that would be great
I wonder if they have camp sites? With all of the rocks and trees it would cool to build a national park with tent and RV camping. Perhaps up in the mountains with the trees obscuring the roads in section. Maybe a few beach campsites too.
Wanna hear a drunk James trying to explain himself during the timelapse, turn the speed down to 0.5.
You should put amusement park rides in that big space, it would attract a lot more guest.
I love the tunnel idea...
Flabs there's a mod that lets you place regular parks on Park Life paths. It's called Parkify if you're interested. ;)
9:22 no radioactive desert is your solution
I was about to type for you to do a tunnel crossing the sides when you suggest it! I LOVE that idea. Build light houses
Like the idea of that big industrial area but not with the one next to the zoo. That should be residential, it’s such a nice area and industry should be near mountains
17:26 Ideas:
-Beach!
-High Density in-zoo Hotels!

9:07 Walking tours will make them walk wherever you want
Do a canal through the zoo with bridges over it
You have at least one overcrowded bus line. With all public transport lines you make, you say "we'll keep an eye on it". You never do. Please do.
Definitely do a tunnel that crosses the bay! It could start halfway from the highway already, so it would cross under the potential medium density area near the zoo. Then you could could have ramps up from the tunnel to serve the area

I think a beltway that travels around the bay could be useful.
the area should be either a beach for the zoo like a lunch area or a utilities/matience area for the zoo like pumps and that stuff which is hidden
you should leave the left side (the one near the zoo and where the city started) of the bay for residential and all other things, and put the cargo ship and all the other stuff in the opposite side. it’ll make things much more organized and will not bother the “citizens” with noise pollution and traffic issues
re: cims not visiting the path (on the edge of the zoo) - use the observation platforms from the nature park set - they will visit those.
9:04 Couldn't you place one of those People Gathering area mod-props on the bridge?
You should build some more industrial on the other side of the mountain near the zoo. It’s flat. Close to water, so you can add a harbor. Ore would be cool since it’s close to the mountain so it could be a mine
Nevermind you already did it
Yayyy an observatory!! Awesome episode, I love the detailing
I wonder if others in the James-verse are picking up on the little puns and devious giggles.....
“Margaret Thatcher Memorial Highway” should 100% be the next major road project :)
Add a few small amusement park things like a merry go round for the kids
Maybe make the industrial area a farming/forestry type so that it doesn’t pollute. If you go with forestry it will also add more trees to blend a bit with the zoo
The zoo is looking really good! Why don't you add the cable cars to connect the zoo and the observatory if you aren't going to use them to get to the little island?
What is the name of the map?
Wow! you did an amazing job! The zoo looks super cool now!
You can do walking tour on that walkway in the zoo
Farmland would be good. Zoning the industrial so it could just be farming would mean the zoo and surrounding area doesn’t get disgusting because its zero pollution. Maybe make the main roads more in the middle with little suburb type things coming off down to the beach would mean you won’t get tones of traffic going on the roads you don’t want.
I think that on the side away from the zoo next to the industrial needs residential because it has no workers!!!!
I know you've got loads of thing to do, but would to see the space shuttle pad/ science sector.
Hikers42 maybe that can go next to the zoo instead of the industrial, a science sector. It would be a good compromise for industrial and would go great next to the observatory
James do a ferry line to the little island in the zoo and a little circle road in that island like a roundabout and have like a statue or something in the middle!
you should make the bay more shallow than it currently is so the water current around the zoo is not absolutely absurd
Love that bridge
How about building an dam to gain some environmentally friendly power
I think the tunnel under the ocean would be somewhat unrealistic, but I love all the other plans.
i cant wait for the downtown for this map i think it will look better than most real life downtown areas
What about calling that extension to mulberry with the observatory. Mulberry hill or heights.
What about logging industry near zoo if you have to put industry there. It at least won't look as ugly.
The recycle centre at the zoo looks stoopid and its killing plants
Kuku San it’s needed
Agreed. Maybe move it to the new industrial area nearby, and put in a small connection that you limit to service vehicles (if that's a thing).
Pretty cool observatory.
You can use the walking tour to walk on that pathway bridge That way they will enjoy the scenery 😄
You should make an Alcatraz prison in the center of the bay
You should name a residential district shadowbrook.
First the bay bridge by bsquicklehausen then the rocks by strictoaster. You guys should collaborate
here here here here here here so manny here !
industrial right next to animals in contaiment, nice.
“Hey here, it’s Flabaliki guys today.”
Honestly, You are Very Very Good at Town and City Structure and Architecture,
You should start studying, Tbh our World needs a Good person to do that!!
You could definitely get any Degree, Diploma, Masters or Honours, You are definitely good at this!!
Where will the downtown be (like the skyscrapers and stuff)
Put dams over the waterfalls! Just try it out see how it looks
If you can you could make the fairy's a seprate District and make transport free. I don't think it's worth it though, it'd make people use it though
Theres a mod (i fink it's called) parkify that alowes you to place game standard parks on paths
please dont put industrial next to the zoo. maybe tourism? all that pollution next to the trees and animals would be sad D:
If you have to have industrial by the zoo why not make it forestry?
You should build a golf course/ country club
Maybe add some flowers? Give this city some color man
maybe a little lake inside the zoo area
you should download some custom warehouses on the workshop cuz they look way better :)
100 km is only 62 mph... people can go like 80-90+ (if the cops don't care much) before people will say they're going really fast lol
Awesome video!
Dont put industri so close to the zoo👍🏻 PS : like Your videos 👍🏻
do some super high density somewhere
I till don't know what the map is called... anyone mind filling me in on that?
Only real loyals will remember Silicon Hilley
Wow man u are so cool
You should add port there
i feel like the industrial area near the zoo would look better as farming or forestry rather than ore
What does the blue bird at the middle of the top screen means?
It's like Twitter for the residents of the city. You can look at it to see their feedback on what you're doing.
9:34 “There’s a mod for that”
JAMES WHERE IS JURASSIC WORKD EVOLUTION I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY THAT GAME I NEED TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES!!! 😂😂
farmland could look nice out there! just sayin
