Please start thinking about trains for later! And even now they could bring more tourists in and reduce tourist cars on the streets.
The vanilla monorail - train hub would be so awesome for that! You could make the two monorail lines both run into it independently, it has 2 tracks. And then the new line could go a different way than the existing one, maybe directly to the industrial area. It would replace the last monorail station before the new line branches off, so some houses would need to be destroyed but I think it's worth it

Completely agree! I think it provides a nice open area near the middle of the city to break up all the buildings. A+ on that one!

I learned recently that the paths people create to cut across areas like parks (rather than following predefined paths) are called "desire lines" which I thought was at least a bit interesting and thought you might like to know since you always try to figure out how to refer to them when you're creating them. ☺
There is a mod to change the color of buildings.
So you can make them less white.
You should have a castle with a park around it. Like the new castle added. it should be the next park
I have to say, I wasn't too sure about this series at the beginning mainly because I like Sedona so much. But now I'm fully invested and constantly look to see if a new episode has been uploaded. Btw are going to keep the name of the city or are you going to rename.
Okay_Then I absolutely agree! I wasn’t sure about the map, to start with, but now I absolutely love everything about this series! The monorails and the teams are really cool, and James integrates the parks really well in the city. It’s great (:

I think adding in a neighbor area that's high class would be very nice. You can space out the zoning so the houses 'had more land' would look really nice, and also realistic rather than having all the neighborhoods in such close quarters
Love this series! I turned on notifications too. Also hopin for a zoo soon and I was wondering if there was a way you can add a little like farm/agricultural country side somewhere too. All up to you tho haha
I suggest creating public transport to Barrington so workers can get to and from work without clogging up the roads.
The beach is eroding, (or the water is rising) If you've haven't noticed already.
What you did with the monorails is good! The tram extension you've got plans is great! Keep it up and work towards getting an intercity rail connection so that not everyone has to drive to get into the city

You should use the maglev for long distance travel, if you end up with parts of the city that are a long way away! It looks a bit more heavy duty than the monorail so would work for that, but still keep the same idea throughout the city. Maybe eventually some transfer hubs between regional passenger trains and the maglev?
A golfcourse would be perfect in the suburbs
After a while and you’ve built up more industrial zoning, you could convert Barrington into residential/commercial as it is pretty close to the current residents, and it has prime tram access.
love that you are allowing open spaces instead of trying to zone everything in sight.
I like the monorail going around, its putting the links in before the city's built up and you'll probably end up doing it anyway. I also love how green it is.

@17:55: don't worry about the monorail being so close to a school. My primary school (rural Auckland, NZ) had a train running a paddock away from the bottom field fence, and we'd run down to the fence and wave to the driver
I live in a land of planned communities, strip malls and private housing tracts so watching this is really trippy for me. It's not bad by any means, just not something I see that often!
The city is looking great! I am loving the roundabout more and more every time I see it; it's amazing!
Some more trees around the tall white buildings like you did in the suburbs might help them blend a bit better.
Having people walking across grass and natural dirt paths forming would really make the game feel lived in and also make you aware of where paths should go, I guess there would have to be some restrictions to prevent people from just walking between houses where you couldn't fit a path.
I think that roundabout/transit hub is the coolest thing you've ever built. Getting to see that up close was so awesome hahaha!!
In the US we treat our water towers like Fort Knox. We have high fences with barbed wire and lights and cameras all over them and if you get caught breaking into a water tower fence you will be arrested and possibly charged with domestic terrorism. If you start to climb up the tower you get an even longer sentence. Ever since 9/11 the US has gotten more strict. But it keeps someone from poisoning the area’s water. They do that for water towers and electric dams. In fact some dams have the local military running them.
Hi James, one thing with gating the parks is it gives a better park bonus for surrounding buildings, therefore it’s always worth gating them and rating them up, even if you adjust the price to $0... city looks great 👍
Maybe turn the highways into the autobahn and make a dam?
I think extending the tram line to Cumberland by cutting that corner is a really good idea.
Also, i like the branching monorail network you set up.

that field is perfect it's pretty much exactly what i was imagining what it should be like...it reminds me of my local park that has a playground and then some baseball fields with a bunch of paths connecting them
There’s a mod called “Control Building Level Up” that lets you eliminate the buildings turning white.
Maybe some car parks around the busiest stations?

You should look into getting the Real Time Mod, it might fix a lot of the traffic problems and any future transportation issues, as the Mod is based on what people do in real life from different traffic during the morning and evening, more transportation use during work days then on the weekend, and more park use on the weekend than during the work week.
The baseball field under the monorail looks awesome, but I'm not sure it would be practical to play on (wouldn't a ball hit high over left field run the risk of hitting the train cars, or bounce back onto the field?). Maybe it could slide a bit further up the road to the side, with a picnic area and small lot for visitors to the field, so the monorail line still goes over the area but wouldn't interfere?
All the trees you use are too dark. Mix in some of the standard trees, they add a more light green to your city.
Also, turn seven mile beach in to a nature reserve park, not a city park.

If you ever make more bus services in the future - which you have to - try to place the bus stops a bit closer.

The monorail around the city reminds me of Jurassic Park

James use the maglev train for inter city things because they are very fast in real life (but I don’t know if that is what happens in the game).
Do some more sports fields and open grass areas. Especially soccer fields.

In Italy there are alot of train lines which follow the coast line and I would really like something like that 😁😁
